No just older generations that witnessed the lowering of standards. I remember going through school in the 90s to 00s and each year was easier. They lowered the standards so far you had to try to fail to actually fail

Universities care about their results, especially with 8 or 9 distinctions. They now have the opportunity to study a top degree, which will give them a major advantage when trying to find a job. Employers care about the degrees.
@@BrutixEdits no, empliyers care about experience. right now jobs for people out of matric, must have 2-5 years experience in that field. same applies for people who have gone to college, right now the way the job market is if you got straight from matric in working, you will be better off than someone who went to college as you will have the experience they don't.
@@miggies8140 what bullshit are you talking about? I know how it works I have 2 kids both out of matric both can't get jobs as they need 2-5 year experience. The matrics didn't get better, the government dropped the standards to push up the numbers
What evidence do you have to prove your claims
fun fact, this is results from the IEB and the standard was definetly raised in the year 2024

Well done two both of them!
You can 11 distinctions but now real life starts. We must start lifting the employment rate not the matric results.
Why not both?
@@BrutixEdits because matric pass rate is useless right now, there are no jobs doesnt matter what you got in school if there are no jobs
