Enphase dropped the development of a dual microinverter because the $.11 watt IRA production tax credit (PTC) only applies to single-module microinverters.
USA 480-watt IQ microinverter will be available soon.
The PTC covers 50% of the actual production cost.
I fear AP systems days in the USA are numbered.
Move production to the USA or suffer the cost battle globally, Enphase plans to export from the low-cost PTC subsidized USA footprint
The primary selling point for microinverters is a well-established conversation,
a low failure rate compared with any string optimizer combination.
A standard microinverter will last without fail for the life of the array.
String components will have to be replaced once possibly twice over the life of the array.
String is only cheaper on day one after the commissioning of the array.
Every day after that the array is a risk of failure.
Trucks will roll for maintenance on a frequent basis.
25 yr warranty vs String/optimizer 10 yr.
What's APSystems warranty?
If the warranty does not aline with the expected life of the array do not use the product.
