Spot on Dale ! I have seen the same thing , and made that set . I have even put the trap behind the blocking will good results if its open on the back side for the bad phobic ones . I believe cats are the same too . If I make a dirthole for a cat ( I very seldom make a standard dirthole for them ) they are almost always cuffed by the left foot . Keepum comin !!!
Another great set and video I knew they where mostly right foot dominate and I set to center like you do to catch the left front foot but now you gonna have me measuring their toenails for curiosity sake lol
Thats a interesting concept about the way the coyote are . For foot placement. And what K9 are . I know since you pointed it out ,my coydog dose the same things you said they do . Thanks for pointing that out.
The set looked good , but what I Appreciate more is the fact that your making younger trappers think ,an not just throwing in a trap with fingers crossed …
I was having a coyote flip my trap over at one of my sets, so I set another trap to the left about a foot away from the other trap. Ended up getting him in both.
Do you know if cats and fox are right foot dominate? Also do you know why this doesn't work great on cats do you think you can add feathers and make it more of a cat set
Fox tend to be right foot dominate as well. Not sure about cats? It will take a few cats but it's not a great cat set as to the fact of a cats nature being so finicky about working open type sets like this. Thanks for watching Ben
So predator trapping is not such a big deal Cedar Hill cuz usually the most I ever have out is 50 sets. But coon trapping is a whole different deal. I've had as high 380 sets out. Everything is written down in a notebook. Road names and numbers along with land marks that can be easily recognized
Excellent as always keep it up Thank You. Very refreshing to watch. Old school woodsmanship. Love it. More you understand the animal easier it gets.

How do you keep track of where your sets are
So predator trapping is not such a big deal Cedar Hill cuz usually the most I ever have out is 50 sets. But coon trapping is a whole different deal. I've had as high 380 sets out. Everything is written down in a notebook. Road names and numbers along with land marks that can be easily recognized
Dale I can see where that can work
It can and does work Trapping the Quatchita hills. I really appreciate you watching
Every red fox i caught this season was right foot caught. Didnt catch any coyote.
We're you setting to the right Mike or straight back?
@@billingsleybrandtrappinglu1531 straight back
I'll be darned well that goes to show you what I know
@@billingsleybrandtrappinglu1531 they were walk thru sets.
Oh ok yea then yea I can see that. At a true dirt hole set I think you'll find most are caught by the left
