This is an absolutely stunning recording. Mixed absolutely perfect. The boys are in top form. Watch Jerry slip seamlessly into the sixties with a amazing B.I.O.D.T.L put your headphones on for this tour de force! You will not be disappointed..
I tend to avoid 86, Jerry's vocals were starting to get really sketchy the previous fall tour. I checked the set list and the reason I viewed this was because of your recommendation. Jerry was fat and happy on this day, thanks. The mix IS as good as it gets. Brent's Hammond sounds unbelieveable.
@@DennisCampbell777 Strongly disagree this was right after 85 my favorite year my peak touring year they were killing it all the older heads always said this ...

Some of the Deads last really tight shows of 86, had the show on great soundboards since about 1990, but this is killer with the video, too!! Thank you for this!!! Never seen it till now. 86 was a strange year for me, but this is awesome!! Jerry was sill really on! Thanks!!
Schick ping pow! great sound on this one. And what a cool place to go see them. Tent city out front... fun fun fun. Thanks for posting such great stuff. / For 86? Jerry was really! on this night
I saw so many great shows at the Kaiser. The jam into China Doll is so trippy, and China doll is so excruciatingly and wonderfully flawed. So great to have this gem, and the sound is stellar.
I will never forget a China Rider they gave us in this all time favorite place to see the boys. I was on the side a little bit up, like 5 rows and thirty feet in front of Healy. That's the sweet spot. That's when there in slow motion
FURIOUS TEMPO BERTHA OUT OF NOWHERE-EXCELLENT! NICE PEGGY O Bobby and Brent all over it this has that 85 crispness and precision and raw Jerry emotion sick!!
Great show. Were so lucky and also grateful to the sound and film engineers that put this together for our enjoyment. Fantastic set list. I saw many if the Kaiser shows, It was a venerable venue, second to Winterland imho.
I loved my 4 shows ( the last 4 of this year actually) I was lucky to attend at the Kaiser. And I must admit those were pretty stunningly great shows. Considering what 86 turned into come July. Plus Bill Graham made a huge difference with the speaker hallways, food vended, and nice staff working as ushers etc. I also loved Hampton as far as indoor shows go. I made it to 12 shows at the ship. Moved out west in 89, the year they didn’t play Hampton in the spring, but Warlocked the place in October. They played wonderfully there and I always felt they loved the place. My favorite being Phil killing us with Box of Rain after a 13 year break. Not to mention Jerry flubbing Althea one song before. Weird vibes were afloat. Funny as while writing this w my ear buds in and Jerry’s sounding fine on Stagger Lee. Hampton was a month away. That’s about all I had to say. Never made it to Winterland. My first was Chicago 8//19/80. Actually, Uptown Theater was, now that I give it some thought, my favorite indoor venue. Weren’t we lucky to have our shows and stories and stats etc. I used to keep track of all my personal GD stats. They’re tucked away somewhere. But the only one that really matters is the 114 shows I saw these guys play. Vince only got to see me 8 times. Shucks, he was ok too. Peace
dude......this is my first show and its amazing to see it again. I've listened to it at least 100 times over 30 years but this is something else. bonus these and the Dec 86 Kaisers are some of the best audience vids I've ever seen. got equal quality spring and esp fall 87 Kaisers stashed?
I always dig these kaiser shows, a certain energy. Not my favorite acoustic venue, but always fun. I liked the Jerry Band Halloween show there, in.... 1991? Great set. ✌️
We’ll come on! It was 86. Jerry’s worst and best year. We flew out for Ventura only to be very concerned. But it wasn’t his time yet. Coming back after a 3 day coma. I was at the new years run and he was 50 pounds lighter and happy and blowing my mind with his those quick little steely notes. Actually his jams always made me think of spiders. Anyone else?
Just watch Deez fellers rockin' out Iko... Pure GD genius, joy, jammin'... Just watch 'em go at it..... Yah see 1986 folks ...... It ain't matter vat yeer ... If daysza rockin' daysza rockin'
Great quality audio and video and a great show all around but just to be a complainer I just can't get into any Lil Red Rooster (minus the Brent Hammond fury i can dig that). Feel free to change my mind.
Well, after all he was a soldier. They're not the bringers of humanitarian aid or peace keepers of the world like our government (the US that is) would have us believe. They're trained killers. But this is just a song. A really good one!

It is marvelous to focus on Jerry and watch him work. Something I could never do at a show. Thanks, man!
went to all 5 of these, some of my fav shows out of 175.
What year did you first see them?

I love the photography, you get a terrific view & thus feel of the bandmates in action.
Hey now 🎉🌈🥳🎈man those were some good times. Really glad I got to be a little part of it all✌️
Always loved the spiral staircases. Had lots of fun on those for sure :)

smokin show, the band is definitely on this night and a great sound audio mix to go along with it...
Amazing camera work and video quality

Love seeing Jerry bounce around having fun. Looks like he is feeling good.

👋 Hey Now! My third show. What a blast tripping around the Kaiser Aud. Sleeping in Peoples park under tarps, such a pup
this is one of the best drums and space I have ever heard
Inside the Leaf So intense I thought I was witnessing them destroying there equipment 😮
Has anyone noticed that when drums space was interesting the whole show was hot, hot, hot?
Great show thanks!!!🎵👍🍺💥

Brent played like hell during little red rooster!!!❤😂
Jerry doesn't solo, he leads
You gotta love that crispy Kaiser sound. 85 Kaiser outstanding!
RIP Jer Bear! I love you!
Love that kaiser sound. Bright and reverberating

I miss the dead village at kaiser, high on acid and humboldt bread, tripping balls in Oakland.
Fun setlist
thanks!
77 tunes over 5 shows and they repeated only one. Money's worth.
Brent goes off on All over Now..
Ah Mardi Gras!!! Word in the crowd at the time was that he wore red when he was clean.
Rhythm Devils trying to go into Samson and Delilah during Playing Jam and everyone else is like nope
Trouble ahead..Jerry in red!. Fiyah! 🔥 🔥 🔥
Anybody ELSE catch Bobby takin a "TOOT" there at 1:47...
Fast Bertha... and toward the end of a set rather than opener. Nice.
OMG that guitar solo at 1:19 is just fricking ridiculous...
what? there is no guitar solo at 1:19
Bob's slide solo on Rooster is so cool. But, as usual, that just made Jerry step up his game.
My 1st Kaiser Show
Lookin real healthy there Jerry. The mid 80's were musically amazing but visually depressing.
My first show. Wow, did that really happen?
Loving this mix. Bob's guitar sounds just right. Could use a Touch more bass... Jerry offers up some messy solos, tho.
Brett played the shit out of that little red rooster!!!❤
Poor Jerry, it's a fantastic show and run of concerts, but jerry looks and sounds a little rougher. He plays super well, as he always did!

Look out Dead… Jerry’s wearing RED!!
I don’t know, my take on this is that the tempo is way too fast especially Peggy-O and one more Saturday night, It’s almost as if it was rushed along
The recording sounds too fast, like 1.25 but 85-86 were fast.
Jerry in Red...Trouble ahead...
Is that Rick Steves on Bass?
...1:47:01--(just before BLACK PETER)...
There is such a fragile beauty to Jerry's playing. A Picasso if there ever was one

RED T? Shirt Sound.
I was thar...🎉
Why in God's name are there commercials IN THE MIDDLE OF SONGS!!! This isn't normal for Kevin Tobin. 😫

It's blasphemy!
