My wife and I were born in Slndh and moved to India in 1948. This last February we visited Karachi and many parts of Sindh. We received extreme hospitality, respect and affection wherever we went. In Sukkur the Sindh government provided a police escort for our safety. Food was great in Karachi and sukkur( you must visit Sindhri restaurant in Sukkur). It was a very emotional and spiritual experience returning to our birthplace after 75 years..

Sindhi Muslims have enormous respect for Sindhi Hindus because they had been living together since centuries. Hindus celebrate Eid and Muharram with us and we put color on them on Holi.
It's after 1947 with the arrival of outsiders that atmosphere started getting changed and many Hindus migrated but even then there were no killings or riots in Sindh such was the land of Sufis - Sindh.
This recent wave of forceful conversions and resultant exodus of Hindus has pained every Sindhi here. We have and we will always reject this mullaiyat Taliban mentality and forever stand with our Hindu's brothers and sisters right to practice their religion.

This is nothing but Indian propaganda against Pakistan based on lies.
The facts is population of West Pakistan was 30 millions. 20% Hindu Sikh i.e. 5-6 millions left to go to Indian punjab and 5-6 millions of Muslims from east punjab migrated to West Punjab. This is reason of rapid population decline is punjab.
In 1947, Hindus and Sikhs refused to join Pakistan so British divided greater punjab into 2, riots broke out and were getting out of control. Both countries decided to swap populations completely in punjab. All the Hindus and Sikh went to Indian side of punjab and Muslims from east punjab were forced to go to Pakistani punjab, 1-2 millions died in the process, hence the population of minorities in Pakistan declined significantly.
In sindh, when muhajir from UP, CP, Delhi and Gujarat etc came in millions, sindhi Hindu got scared and majority left for India.

Ramesh Kumar Sir said that there were 22 percent Hindu in Pakistan at the time of partition and it is remain just 4 percent , but I think he forgot that, that time Bangladesh was also a part of Pakistan. And most Hindu papulation was in East Pakistan which is now Bangladesh
