- (9-20-2014) Daniel is an amazing young man from Raleigh NC. Him and his wonderful family came to visit me sept 2014 and I had a total blast with him! Enjoy as he sees the cute little bike, Roanoke's elevators, and of course the elevaTOURS museum of awesomeness!! Yeah I love elevators but spending time with people like Daniel is far more enjoyable than just riding an elevator. The whole purpose of this youtube account is to reach out to people like Daniel.

I love that Daddy is very patient, my son Daniel (7), found this video, he is fixated on elevators and automatic doors. Once we come across any; our activity for the day is finished and very difficult for him to transit or move on to other things. I literally avoid places with elevators and automated doors (which literally leaves us with no where to go) how can I teach him to enjoy for a moment and then move on? Suggestions welcome, because I want to explore places with him, but it just never ends. Good job to Daniel and Dad, you all are very positive and enjoying the journey. I have learnt something.. , I will try and find not so crowded places in London 😂 .......blessings

I know why, It's because if you go to 17:53 in the video! You'll see that Andrew was teaching Daniel about what elevator phones are for! But in my opinion, He was looking at that phone like Alex Stack (Gluse) does it!
Your very good at looking after kids with autism ,! His reaction when he saw you at the beginning was priceless and brought a smile to me! He's happy! Which is good! I saw him stinking like crazy . Which is good As stimming can also be self soothing to prevent a meltdown! You did Lots of praise! Which is very important for kids with autism! At least he was very happy and happy stimming! I'm also on the autism spectrum! And I work unpaid with kids with autism and other disabilities and abilities in the UK where I live. I've been a follower of your channel since the pre thumbs up days! And you used to rate a vid out of 5 stars! Gosh I miss them days!

Awesome video. I have also Asperger's. I like a lot of things. Main interest is street lighting (I have another TH-cam account for that) and further all kinds of public transport but also elevators and escalators can have my interests. What I like of people with autism that they have often a special kind of interest in things where others paid less attention to. For most people is an elevator an elevator, a train just a train and a streetlight just a streetlight but people with autism notice often al those differences in a subject.
I got OCD, ADD, and asperger's. I like macs, Windows XP, elevators, train crossings, and more.
I also have Aspergers and I am interested in fire alarms, elevators, electronics, mechanics, and I am also a furry! (Plz don't hate me. Besides, I hate fetish and yiff anyways. And plus I mostly just like the artistic and social parts of it)

***** I hope he doesn't get "Down Routed' and warehoused in some mental hospital. Many children diagnosed (more like misdiagnosed) with Autism or Aspergers are actually quite intelligent and they can live a productive life if given the opportunity.

My 15 year old autistic would be in heaven but I don't think I would be able to take him as he wants to ride and ride and not listen or wait at all, my biggest heartbreak is he's stuck at home allot, but at least he's discovered the coolness that is his bedroom recently.
