Great man ! If you don't have threadlocker , you can use White wood glue. We have Ponal wood glue and Alcolin glue here in South Africa. Wood glue won't lock it like epoxy but will serve as a threadlocker. I use silicone grease for sliding those seals over the rods. Less splillage and less messy. Love your video and excellent explanation.
I have double acting cylinders that have developed leaks. I cannot unscrew the base like you do in the video because mine are welded. Is there anyway to remove the upper portion It has a small steel ring with three holes evenly spaced around the ring. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Is That steel ring is a Circlip (sir-clip). Or does it have a slit on the ring , whereby you can stretch it and pry it out. If its a sealed shaft , you can grind off the welding carefully and weld it back into place after replacing the seals. Some things are meant to replace because manufacturers want you to come back and buy the whole piece , keeping their business alive therefore the Welding and not threads and screws.
Would you have a double seal kit for a Mahindra tractor bucket the lift cylinder ,I can get the model number ..just curious I’ve got one leaking fluid , I over lifted it.
Hi, at 5:00 Your putting two seals at once, white Teflon washer ,its easy, just putt that white Teflon washer first then the blue u cup seal ,if the blue seal is so tight, just putt it in a hot cup of water to lose it up...

No , don't put the seal into hot water. It will damage the seal and it won't last long. Use silicone grease to slide it over the rod. Hell , you might fuk up the same time when you put it in hot water. The seal is not designed for expansion.
@@bridges5659 will, technically I can .some seal material are hard but some are elastic. I've worked on garage bottle jacks, floor jacks and transmission jacks a lot .

Take the sample , old one or the shaft to a supplier and they will match the seals for you.

Yeah , I use a touch of silicone grease.
Awesomeness
My cylinder is rotted inside. Is it still fixable?
No sir. You need a new casing, and if you're going to buy that, you might as well buy a new cylinder.
I have a rotary mvp6 do you sell a kit for this?
No sir. You'd need to contact a Rotary dealer for that
Nice video Thx !
Gotta keep your tubes lubed, or you're gonna have a bad time.
