Never rush and that why your work is precise. I never realized how much work is involved with this procedure, thanks for sharing Gearld. Happy Holidays, and 2024
I’m glad you said this Tim because I was glued to the screen watching this video😂 Super interesting what all that goes into building an engine and building an engine to the level that Gerald does. Great stuff!
Thank you for the video! And Jackie too, Hat is sold. This lifter/pushrod business is still a dark magic to me. Thank you for shedding some light to it!
Gerald and Ruby, y'all rock! Thanks for showing how much goes into this. Don't worry. We will be here the next time you upload. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, y'all! Thanks, Jackie, for editing. Peace
Well, I must be a newby cause that is the first time I have seen that style of ford roller lifter. Looking forward to seeing the bushing install. Merry Christmas Mr. Brand and Ruby. Thank you for making 2023 a lot more interesting. Hope you do more in 2024. God Bless.
I know this is probably weird to you but if i could id watch you build engines for like a week and learn what I could lol . Even though I don't have the machines and will probably never need to know most outside of basic assembly , but it can't hurt to learn...it is awesome watching and learning every process you share .. thanks..
Always informative and love to watch your precision work !. More than 90% of this work seems the precice setting of the machine. 🤔 Can't wait to watch part 2 !.😄
Thanks for sharing with us.. hope you and your family have a Merry Christmas Gerald!!! I watch a machinist who does Harley vtwins and it always amazes me with the time it takes just to set up a machine.. doing v8s you're working with heavier pieces and more work even after you get everything ready to go
Wow. that's like a thousand times more complicated than the tool I made to do the same thing to a Ford block and it worked great. It was a pulling tractor, but the same concept for the lifters. He went out and won the first time out after the modification.
Always liked watching how you set things up and walking us to the steps also Gerald the video is not complete unless Ruby in it Merry Christmas and Happy New Year hope you had a good time at the PRI show
No wonder Damon’s motor lasted and ran so well. Sir you are a consummate professional AMS Thank you for these videos I worked on air craft Jigs G111, A6, A4, A7, KA6D, KC130, C5A & B’s, F14, KC135, C130 and a few others and thought those were precise but brother you’ve got them covered hands down. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you and your family.
I always wondered how you machinist got everything so square and precise. Thanks. How in the heck can you make a living doing this stuff when it takes such expensive machines and tools on top of hours and hours of set up and tear down, cleaning, measuring, etc,etc ? Boggles my mind.
Alright….I don’t know a lot about engines, I just know basic parts/assembly/how it works. Is this so you guys can get more precision on the lifters and rollers or whatever. The camshaft lobe hits another lobe with a wheel and a lifter on it…is that what this is for?
Looks like you've done this a time or ✌️ Mr. Brand! 😁. Hope you have a Merry Christmas! 🤔 Don't know if you've ever mentioned having a hot rod yourself.
Very nice Gerald. What kind of mill is that? I would like to get set up to do that. I was going to do it in the Comec ACF200. They make a Cat 40 spindle for it. Thanks for sharing. Take care, Ed.
It's mainly a issue with pushrod clearance. You don't have the tie bar to break sometimes. I don't see any benefit in RPM with the key slot lifter. There are no stupid questions.
Great Video Content... everything in not CNC.. Craftsmanship is still alive in OK. Just keep doing what you do... There will always be critics (Most of these critics think they are internet professionals, Most have a "Elephant Mouth, and a Humminbird Ass". when the chips are down most can't change a spark plug... enough said.
I KNOW A GUY WITH A CRATE 572 THAT KEPT EATING CAMSHAFTS. MACHINE SHOP TRACED IT TO LIFTER BORES NOT PARALLEL TO CRANK CENTERLINE OR HOWEVER YOU SAY OUT OF ALIGNMENT..REBORE FIXED IT.
That's a slick setup to do that job. Srtup is pretty lengthy alsò, Is that a new machine for you? Man, that 460 doesn't have much room between cylinders. it's gotta be difficult to keep the heat down. Interesting video Gerald, thanks for sharing that ! Happy Holidays to you and Ruby 🎄🎉

definitely the cleaniest workshop I have seen in a long time. Says volume the professionalism of the operation.
Thank you for the video! And Jackie too, Hat is sold. This lifter/pushrod business is still a dark magic to me.
Thank you for shedding some light to it!
I love watching your professionalism and patience while fixing these motors Mr Brand! Keep em coming.

I need to do a video on engine assembly. Maybe after the first of the year I've got several to assemble I can do some stuff and post it.
@@BrandRacingEngines that would be awesome.. especially a SBC or LS
Really glad you did this. I never knew how much went into the setup. Fortunately, Mr B, Mr H, or Mr J thought about that fixture for a minute or 2.
Killer work as always. Thanks for taking us along for the ride

Great Work 🏁
Could train Ruby to run the camera for you, or would she want too much? 🤔

Quick question. Are the bottom of the end plates parallel to the pan rails?
Yes
Thanks for the quick response. Merry Christmas to you and yours.@@BrandRacingEngines
Excellent as always👍👍
Merry Christmas!
Very nice Gerald.

I would like to get set up to do that.
I was going to do it in the Comec ACF200.

Summit mill
They're actually located here in Oklahoma City
@@BrandRacingEngines Very nice.
Is it a CNC/Manual?
BTW, Very good video.
Merry Christmas.
Yes it has a conversational keyboard on it you can do quite a bit with it as far programming
Very Nice...I have the same fixture for Chry big and small.
I have a stupid question and on a key lock . Is the benefit rpm or longevity?
It's mainly a issue with pushrod clearance. You don't have the tie bar to break sometimes. I don't see any benefit in RPM with the key slot lifter. There are no stupid questions.
Merry Christmas mate
Same to you sir
...love it !...
Great video thanks
there any advantage to using this system like on any of the dodge applications, or any of the gm applications
Yes But it Pricey
This is pretty much the setup I want to run
Very interesting

Would it be possible to use synthetic trans fluid as a lubricant ,
No not for cutting oil
