i want this played at my funneral , Cancer sucks, so does Chronic LYME disease but for a small moment in time I feel good everysingle time i watch this ,thanks to this video, even like i may make it while
I used to hate his voice, but after a while of forcing myself to listen to it purely for his amazing picking skills, I began to appreciate how genuine his voice is. Who knew a non-American would make the best folk.
His emotion and feeling in each of his songs never ceases to amaze me. The passion you feel through his words and movements is truly inspiring. Peace and Love to everyone and anyone on this day and all others.
Wow... he is really an incredible human being. Very inspiring not to mention his lyrical ability (in my opinion) is just as consistent as Dylan. There are just not many people out there in todays music scene that can take mere words and use them to seemingly describe the greater meanings in life. Love and light to you brother!
When you get down to it, what he does is insanely bold. Just him and a guitar. No drums to hide voice cracks, no electronic voicing. People just don't do that anymore
The awesome thing is this is just one guy with a guitar, and the song's STILL AMAZING. He doesn't have a whole band with drums and bass and all that... it's just him. Awesome.
It is fantastic when his guitar strap breaks :) I just had a great conversation with a friend about how good it is when musicians mess up, it brings everything back to reality. Such good music.
For those interested the playlist for this concert is: Love Is All A Field of Birds King Of Spain Tangle In This Trampled Wheat Thrown Right At Me The Gardener Like A Wheel
*strap breaks* - *finger to his lips* - *total silence* - *re attached strap* - *Plays from exactly where he left off* such god damn amazing showmanship.
This is pure perfection. a true artist putting his ALL into a performance. this is my favorite song, this is my favorite version, this is my most played song on my itunes by far,.. and i am a HUGE music enthusiast. well fucking done. WOW
Wow...it's been three weeks since I heard and saw this for the first time and I haven't been able to finish a day without TTMOE and this song. Please play some more shows i Sweden this summer.
the song moves you, im sorry if not your s atone. Musically he is a master Think he could win American Idol? :) thats a joke for those who dont realize what i am saying, there is no way he could he is to talented
The term "hipster" has become so diluted and misused that by this point I can hardly tell what it means anymore. I swear some people just use it to surf the internet looking for any and all opportunities to insult something they're not used to or is somewhat unknown. This is just a brilliant young man pouring his heart into his art and crafting some very wonderful folk music.
His voice has that "raspy-ness" that the singer from Mando Diao has as well. They're both from the same region in Sweden so maybe it's a style from Dalarna.
Anyone know anything about the effects he uses? That doesn't sound like your typical distortion pedal. Kind of a weird combination with the distortion and the reverb.
he used a boss space echo for the reverb-y sound. the distortion you're hearing is just a cranked tube amp breaking up. there's no overdrive or distortion pedal which is why it sounds so nice
i want this played at my funneral , Cancer sucks, so does Chronic LYME disease but for a small moment in time I feel good everysingle time i watch this ,thanks to this video, even like i may make it while

This is one of the finest songs ever made by man.
the tallest man specifically
what he does at 1.50 is amazing: being cool in that moment is not for everyone
completely obsessed with this song right now.
Lisa Ortiz same here
same for me
I laughed so hard at his little guitar strap malfunction!! LOL He handles it so well and his reaction was too funny! He is amazing in every way. :P
I used to hate his voice, but after a while of forcing myself to listen to it purely for his amazing picking skills, I began to appreciate how genuine his voice is. Who knew a non-American would make the best folk.
Can't believe people it's insulting each other in a video so peaceful like this
I have listened to this song 100s of times, but this is the first I have seen him. He is exactly as I pictured him. He is the song, all of him.
5' 7" ;)
He is, in humble my opinion, the best we swedes got today when it comes to music.
He's a genius!
I don't know why I see more "man crushes" than otherwise! He is a musical phenomenon! I am enraptured by him every time I hear him.
I´m drinking a glass of red wine now and listen to this song. wonderful
His emotion and feeling in each of his songs never ceases to amaze me. The passion you feel through his words and movements is truly inspiring. Peace and Love to everyone and anyone on this day and all others.
simply he is a real artist
Wow... he is really an incredible human being. Very inspiring not to mention his lyrical ability (in my opinion) is just as consistent as Dylan. There are just not many people out there in todays music scene that can take mere words and use them to seemingly describe the greater meanings in life. Love and light to you brother!
i literally watch it every day.
many times a day.
what a phenomenal live musician. so entertaining to watch and listen to
Watching him perform is beautiful. The look on his face, the glimmer in his eyes, it's like he's looking into the heavens.
Awesome.
One of the better live performers for sure, so beautiful love the tone of his guitar.
It is fantastic when his guitar strap breaks :) I just had a great conversation with a friend about how good it is when musicians mess up, it brings everything back to reality. Such good music.

this song changed my whole world.
*strap breaks* - *finger to his lips* - *total silence* - *re attached strap* - *Plays from exactly where he left off* such god damn amazing showmanship.
It's really awesome that the very moment he begins to play, everybody is trapped in his magic.
simply amazing. this song alone gives hope to modern music.
The recovery when he loses his strap is PERFECT. Great live performer.
This is so fucking beautiful.
As good as music gets right here
Ohhh my god, he's so beautiful!
i just love him!! : (
PERFECT SONG!
Super Super nice! Love it!

@VIPERWOK KEXP Is a radio station in Seattle, Washington.
Beautifully put!
Love the shirt!
I've watched this well over 100 times. It's cooler than Star Wars.
The nords got some good music, hot damn
Brilliant! AND he plays a Malcolm Young signature Gretsch!
Fact: No one can dislike this! If they do, they're a liar.
The term "hipster" has become so diluted and misused that by this point I can hardly tell what it means anymore. I swear some people just use it to surf the internet looking for any and all opportunities to insult something they're not used to or is somewhat unknown.
This is just a brilliant young man pouring his heart into his art and crafting some very wonderful folk music.
well played sir
Love It!
Sweet tune...R.I.P Dunn :P
Amazing. Thank you.
this is fucking perfect...
I get chills from 0:01 - 4:46
Why no chills at the first second? 😂
@fillthemurder123 That's really odd, because I found this guy from talking to people about Adam's solo album!!! Love them both!
finished the song... play the song again...
He wore that shirt when I saw him at Park West in Chicago.
brilliant
@Timetje55 Gretsch Double Jet, most likely vintage.
I always get chills at 0:00-4:46
Does anyone know what type of pedal or effect creates this "crunchy" sound? It sounds so clean yet beautifully distorted.
@redchucktaylors5 Lot of good stuff in that show I haven't heard before.
I love how he handles the strap falling off :D
FUCKING HELL! I keep watching this hero-piece
himla snygg t-shirt, leksand, dalarna ♥
Me too!
Cool even under fire
The devil finds the water easier than the land.
God help us, truly.
man crush
ok he is so fit
His voice has that "raspy-ness" that the singer from Mando Diao has as well. They're both from the same region in Sweden so maybe it's a style from Dalarna.
*****
totally agree, I only listen to his live performances.
His album voice sounds like young Dylan. If that isn't your style it sounds really weird. I like it, but I like him more live tbh
I wish I was half as tall as him
@erictantien I thought you were saying that as a figure of speech. But then I got to 2:50. Wow
@bulgarianprincess haha this must be one of the best comments to a song i've ever seen ;D
At 3:17, that guy in the cap looks strikingly similar to Kristian Matsson (ttmoe)
It is actually a quote from his song "The Gardener" about killing people off, to remain "The tallest man in your eyes, babe"
Leksand - Dalarna.
Haha, skön t-shirt.
His face at 32 seconds is amazing
why? i dont see it? not that it isnt i just cant see what your seeing let me in on it please
ROB BURNT
The eyes closed man, he looks so peaceful.
funny thing is i was watching star wars phantom menace, and i stopped in the middle to watch this haha
Anyone know anything about the effects he uses? That doesn't sound like your typical distortion pedal. Kind of a weird combination with the distortion and the reverb.
It just sounds like a moderate low-ish amount of OD, maybe a really small amount of delay, and a good amount of reverb. Nothing super fancy.
he used a boss space echo for the reverb-y sound. the distortion you're hearing is just a cranked tube amp breaking up. there's no overdrive or distortion pedal which is why it sounds so nice
@EschatologyFunk nowane has the guts this swedee is crazyyy !!!!!
I would agree.
@Timetje55
a sixties Gretsch Firebird doublecut
@sensationalsophia Ohja, und es war so gut! Ich hatte sogar das glück den kristian kurz kennen zu lernen :)
