Welcome back! My Suggestion: ENGLAND E: Jamaica Center-Parsons/Archer to 42nd Street-Port Authority Bus Terminal N: Times Square-42nd Street to Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center (walk to Hoyt-Schermerhorn Streets, transfer to G) G: Hoyt-Schermerhorn Streets to Metropolitan Avenue L: Lorimer Street to Broadway Junction A: Broadway Junction to Fulton Street (walk to Canal Street, transfer to N) N: Canal Street to 34th Street-Herald Square D: 34th Street-Herald Square to 145th Street I look forward to your next video!
6:30 to 7:00 - that's Unionport Yard (I've actually been there even though I have never worked the IRT) and those redbirds are part of the rail adhesion train, or "gel" train. They're used in the autumn when leaves start falling onto the tracks (and make them slippery) so that they can apply a traction gel to keep the rails from being too slippery. They have them at Unionport for the 5-line between Morris Park and Dyre, as well as Pitkin Yard (for the A line between Aqueduct and Howard Beach-JFK) and Coney Island Yard (for the Sea Beach/N-line and Brighton/Q-line.)
This is what I got for why the bronx is called the boogie down bronx By a large margin, survey respondents answered “the Boogie Down Bronx,” a reference to the borough's status as the birthplace of hip-hop. ... The nickname dates back to the 1970s dance parties where DJs first started isolating and letting MCs spit lyrics over beats.
7:59 "the hours are crazy, and you see things. You get to do some fun stuff, but you also see some pretty bad stuff happening" - that's no different from working for the NYC subway!
EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SUPRTOE'S BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Edit: At 6:53, yes, those are redbirds (maybe work cars) Redbirds are R26, R28, R29, R33/S, R36 BMT Redbirds are R27, R30/A
Yay! You're finally back with some more WTN videos for 2021. While waiting for SuprToe footage, all of the Lance Wright videos are kind of the raw footage of SuprToe
Used to ride the 5 all the time. I see the KFC is still there on the corner of Baychester and Boston RD. 2:40. Good chicken back in the day when I was a kid.
Once you're vaccinated and your boss gives you free time/a vacation you should take a commuter rail (NJT and SEPTA RR) trip to Philly and ride the subways there (maybe the trolleys, NHSL, and PATCO trains too). Riding New Jersey's light rails should also be on your bucket list too (Hudson-Bergen, Newark, and River Line).
Wow. Long break. I thought he was done! WE NEED A FACE REVEAL. It's a little unsettling. He needs to record more. I like that he recorded the announcements on the 5 train. You've been to Staten Island more than me though. Those were Redbirds.
do the 5 to the south ferry loop, stay on at the last stop which is bowling green and it will go around the south ferry loop, the train might pause for a bit but dont worry it will move
OMG 13 MINS LATE SORRY BUT HEYYY! MISSED YOU SO MUCH! WTN Suggestion: 1M-BAC_ and you can replace the K with whatever train you want cuz there’s no K train
For a future video you could do (S)(A)(N)(D) Start at Grand Central (S) to Times Square (A) to Hoyt-Schermerhorn Walk to Atlantic-Barclays (N) to New Utrecht (D) to Coney Island
6:30 to 7:00 - I do not think these are redbirds. They must be work trains or something. I do not know what the "or something" is. 8:30 - That's the East 180th Street subway yard.
Pelham Parkway is my stop. By the way. The 4 ALWAYS goes first! The 5 is the crackhead of the MTA. Also, I wouldn't walk around Dyre Avenue. It's where heroine users go to die. Nothing worth living is around there.
Wow. All the love givin' me all the feels! Thanks everybody! Greatest fans ever! Gonna do my best to do more.
Be safe
Thanks what’s the progress on WTN

Nice video! The train tracks on the (5) up near Dyre avenue used to be owned by the New York Westchester & Boston railroad!

And The Master Is Back!
4:47 - there was maintenance going on - when there are maintainers on the tracks, trains can go no more than 10 MPH (16 KPH)
EPIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SUPRTOE'S BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Redbirds are R26, R28, R29, R33/S, R36

Those are lights array for the yard and yes they are the Redbirds. NYC Transit keeps a few for the maintenance crew

“Colloquially referred to as the boogiedown” XD
The E 180th St Yard opened in 2000 in time for the arrival of the R143’s and R143A’s. The nickname of the Bronx refers to the birthplace of hip hop.
