- Great day everyone! This is a little different from the walk and ride tours we have. As thus will be a little more chatty than usual to get along with all the people around. This is my first time in this place and I was feeling everything for this place. I was amazed that my fellow Filipinos are very creative that they decided to live in a house floating on the waters where they can easily catch fish as food, happy that they were able to live despite of this poverty, and sad that they are experiencing this things in the Philippines. However, today we are going to give them some snacks (i did not know that there are many of them). But they were nice enough to let us have a tour in their houses and how they lived.
This is Don Galo, Paranaque city, Philippines. The people live on makeshift boat houses on Paranaque river. However, the government is planning to build a big wall to make the river clean and probably will be relocating the people soon. Let's pray for these people. Thanks for watching

I pray the relocation will allow them to have access to clean homes and clean water, the way they adapted their lives to survive along the water truly is amazing. Here, in vancouver those living in these condtions are aggressive and angry but here everyone is smiling, I truly have so much respect. 😮

Two days ago, in a comment on your site, I wished that the Philippines would open their borders to tourists. And yesterday I heard the good news that from mid-February it will be possible to visit the Philippines again. I look forward to being able to hold my loved one in my arms again

I was in paranaque few years ago with friends it was slum area but the people there were so friendly and helpful I donated candy 🍬 and school supplies to the poor kids there excitement to see a person with white skin I send my blessings to you and to your beautiful country God bless the Philippines

It’s disheartening to see some are living like this. But they look happy and contented. The sewer goes down the hole into the water. Then the fisherman catch the fish nearby.
"The fish market is nearby",..I bet the fish-buyers love how the fish look well-fed, hearty and wholesome,...and so yummy,...of course...lol....

Most of those rafts are health and safety risk, cooking on board using a fire can, they want to hope the coast guard dosent catch them doing that, also I did not see any life preservers on board. The very worst thing that I was was that it appears these people are dumping raw sewage into the river, unbeleivable!
