    'Little" was one of the most difficult words as I had learned it, as 'Little's Disease'- with a bad pronunciation how my prof told. My daughter tried to correct me without success. Once I told her that I was doing my shopping in the 'LIDL supermarket' and she told me: 'that's it' try to say in the same way. But really I have learned now with this dark 'L'. Thanks for it.

      It is possible for an American to say lidl. However, it would be a really weak d instead of a heavy d like in “debt”.

    For me, the pronunciation of "LITTLE" comes much easier breaking it up like "LI-dull".
    But, of course Rachel's way of teaching her assignment and her students learning ability is by far more expertly delivered and received than anything that I could ever do!

    Many people think that the Brazilian Portuguese/Spanish "r" sounds exactly as the "d", but that's not true. There's actually a subtle difference between these two, that many people are capable of noticing it.

  • @anthonydidamaso
    @anthonydidamaso 6 ปีที่แล้ว +12

    for all the spanish speakers it is just a "R" for us.... for example like in the word in spanish "Caro" or "Cara" it is basically something like: "LiRo"... the thing is that native english speakers can´t explain it because they dont have that letter, so for them is more like a soft "D" But isn´t or something they can´t explain, but we do can explain it with "R", and they don´t say that sounds like an "R" Because in english and R is totally different than in spanish... so for us in spanish is only "R" (ere)
