Comparison and testing of GPS M10 chipset for FPV drone (Betaflight 4.4 GPS rescue test)

- Here's 5 types of GPS were used in the test.
- Flywoo GM8 Mini V2.0
- Beitian BN-220
- Matek M8Q-5883
- Matek M10Q-5883
- BZGNSS BZ-121
The conditions of the experiment are not completely controlled and the number of experiments is extremely insufficient.
Additional experiments may be needed.
What I felt roughly is that the refresh rate is definitely good as the generation is replaced with the M10, and the reception performance seems to be at the level of the wall.
The RTL of GPS rescue in beta 4.4 is not perfect, but it seems to be very good if you check a few things carefully.
You just need to check for a few errors.
- Does the home position indicate well?
- Check if the home point points well when turning the aircraft or changing the nose
- The altimeter seems to have an error sometimes. (There was an error once in the video. It doesn't happen often.)
While the satellite reception rate of the BN220 in the m8 series is good, the home position error seems to be severe, and the refresh rate seems to be slow.
Next time, we will get more reliable test results with more tests and data.

역시 큐리오스님이십니다. 그래도 즈언통의 마텍이 성능이 좋군요 역시 레스큐는 목숨살려주는용도만 써야지 rth는 아직불안정하네요. 마텍m10으로 사야겠네요
완벽하지 않지만 이중에서 RTH 잘되는 건 Matek M8Q-5883(M8Q), BZGNSS BZ-121(M10) 말하시는 겁니다. ^^

I ordered now the: BK-252i UBX-M9140 from the ali-beitian store. Le'ts see how that performs. A bigger Antenna shall be an advantage. And M10 is powersaving, what I don't need. Somehow the M9 was more expensive than the M10.. so I have chosen the M9. cheers again.

Bz gnss Bz 181 121 251 등등 제품 들 차이점이 뭔가요?? 차이점이 있다면 어떤걸 구매해야 할까요?
사이즈가 다르고, 무게가 숫자가 커질수록 커짐. 안테나 표면적도 더 넓어져서 클수록 수신확률이 높음. gps 칩셋은 u-blox M10050 로 모두 동일함. BZ-251만 compass(나침반, QMC5883)이 탑재되어 있음.

@@user-ec6mr2hy7q 베타에서도 유의미하긴하지만, 제 지인 또는 오며가며 본 베타기체들 gps의 장착 위치가 대부분은 compass의 간섭에 취약한 위치에 설치하는 것을 많아봐서 그닥 실효성은 없는 듯 합니다. inav를 사용하셔도 compass에 대한 노이즈(기체emi나 전파(VTX or RX 안테나)로부터 충분히 이격시키거나 쉴딩 처리가 필요함.)로 부터 격리 시켜주는 배치가 필요합니다.(compass가 전파노이즈에 아주 예민합니다. 나침판이 아주 작게 칩셋으로 만들어져있다고 생각하시면 될듯 합니다.) 베타에서는 실제 콤파스 없이 레스큐 작동시켜도 10m(좀 멀지만?) 이내에 착륙 잘하더라고요 ㅎㅎㅎ 기체마다 사정이 조금 다르기때문에 사실 콤파스 있는 모델도 구매하셔서 직접 테스트 해보시는 것도 좋습니다.
