There are only a few things that can make me gasp in awe. The first time I saw the HK skyline at night was one. First time I came around a curve on a train and there was Mt. Fuji suddenly looming in the distance was another. The Crown Jewels in London. The space shuttle Endeavour in the LA Science Center. "The Night Watch" in the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Yes, the food in HK is magnificent. I suppose sausage was also available in your room. Perhaps not in the morning, but certainly as dessert after dinner. Keep enjoying your life together. So my question to you guys is: much like the breakfast you had, how much of the British/western influence is still present? Can you do transactions in English? Other things that are truly “western”?
It was very strong in the food culture, buses are double decker, small things here and there! There are some places they only speak cantonese and its a lot of pointing and trying to explain what you want, but most places there's someone who speaks a little bit of english at least!

I am an off-roader I own a small Suzuki Jimmy 4x4 with a 1.3 LT petrol m13a engine from the year 2001 that I use to make rural dirt and forest roads!
The hotel we stayed at was called Kew Green Hotel, in Wan Chai, definitely recommend the area as a minimum, the hotel was great for our budget (about USD$70-80 a night), it was slightly on the older side, but clean and spacious compared to others in the same area!
