    I wish they would preserve these beautiful structures and make them into museums or something too many have been wiped off the earth despite their pasts its an important part of history and these places should somehow be protected

    Hey. Really amazing videos. It's funny to see that you explored way better places than others channels with similar content and way more subs. If you could, please include more parts of buildings because those things really look epic (but yeah if not safe don't do it). Anyway keep up good work :) i hope more people will explore your channel and sub to you.

    • @LeeRielly
      @LeeRielly  7 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      UXRO thanks a lot for your kind message! It's nice to see that my hard work is appreciated! :D - I will try to show more of the buildings from now on but I try to limit my videos in length to only show the interesting parts as you probably know, lots of rooms are just walls :(

    • @UXRO
      @UXRO 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hehe, don't worry. They're awesome already. What i'm trying to say i really love buildings that you show, most of other explores just go to random ugly house and record as you said empty rooms/walls and you record epic mensions and stuff that usually won't show up in other videos, so i'm kinda interested into seeing more parts of those buildings. Important part is that you enjoy exploring and showing us what you think it's interesting for us to see :) anyway i'm really excited to see more videos from you.

    Ok, so ‘electric shock’ treatment is still happening, it’s called ECT. Lunatics was a very old term, and not one that was used in my time. The sensationalism that a lot of explorers adopt kills me. I worked somewhere like this for years. The reality was nothing like you’d expect.
    I honestly don’t understand the obsession explorers have with morgues either. They were pretty boring places.

      Lee Rielly I'm pretty history obsessed, especially when it comes to the less savory details, such as the asylum and homes with murdered occupants. So sounds terrible, but it's truly fascinating. So yes, to answer your question, especially if there are similar viewers such as myself! 👽

  • @jademathieson-mort1963
    @jademathieson-mort1963 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I came here a few months back.
    As you can see from the video, the place is ruined.
    Although there is a nice church at the back & the morgue is still intact with the trays for the body's. The underground tunnel system also has wheelchairs and more trays for bodies.
    There isn't really any security though and when I went there was actually lots of teenagers just hanging out on the roof.
    I have been twice and the only place I couldn't find was the nurses home!
    Although in a field next to the asylum there is an abandoned Welsh nursery also!

      Lee Rielly It is important especially to those families who had relatives who actually fied there after being there from vhildhooh. My Aunt at the age of 13 was dtruck about the head seversl times by a boy of also 13 using a floor brush. Before then she was a carefree child who was doing well at scholl. But this other boy who struck her with the brush had a crush on her and she rejected him. In revenge he nearly killed her. At that time a child could not be prosecuted so he got away with it. My Aunt languished in this hospital for life. Tragic really as i often see this now elderly man as we only live in a small town with a poulation of around 5,000. I once went to visit my aunt in the hospital as i wanted to go. I flund it very teriffying. I was scared in case one of the patients got hold of me. The attmosphere there was very tangitable. When you visit places like this hospital please have some respect for those who died there whilst being patients. Thank you.

    Great to see you came across no guards etc. Some people have been chased off, partly because the place is so dangerous. Since your visit I believe there was a fire. I don't know how much of the building was destroyed. Maybe worth another look one day. However, if you fancy looking at another building that has artefacts in it, you could go to Lluesty Hospital just outside Holywell - not far from Denbigh. People get access to it a lot. Used to be a workhouse. Cilla Black's mother used to live there when times were hard. I've seen videos of the hospital as it is now, abandoned urine bottles etc all around. Maybe look for other films first.

    Back then those were absolutely torture chambers. Also a lot of children were given up with disabilities. Families could not afford to take care for them so they were rendered to places like this or even turned over to the nuns. Everyone in the medical field wanted to learn and these subjects were perfect to be tried out on any new medical idea or meds etc. I love your videos you love history and knowledge as much as I do. It is rare to find someone as young as you to do this. If i were a bit younger I would fly over and go with you on your journeys! You my dear are the best! Thank you for letting us view history and what it really was.

    I am glad that this old hospital for that is what it was has burnt down! I had a relative who because of an accident that she had when 12 years old, spent all her life there and she eventualy died there. There are many people who died there and are yet to pass on. So it dissapoi ts me to see videos such as yours where people have very little respect for the dead! Perhaps now that it has burnt down (and many believe that it burnt down as a direct result of people such as you being there and damaging the old place further) the old hospital will be left in peace x

      He hasn't damaged the place at all. He's treated it with respect and gave many a great insight into its beauty as a building. Poor comment towards a great guy.
