Hi have a 7a (tip-up) which I love! It's a fantastic cross-country traveler and great IFR performer. (2) G3X's, GTN 650, regulated pitot/AOA and 307 autopilot (9 year old plane). Looking forward to more build updates!
Great start, curious to see what it takes to build one as compared to buying a used. what part of the country you are building this and if you need a hand on the weekends?
We originally had looked at buying a completed airplane but with the demand there were not many around and all pretty pricey. We are happy we ended up doing the kit because I know exactly how it's built and there will be no surprises.
Great update video! I'm mostly clueless on the minimum requirements to have an experimental be IFR so how far past the minimum will you be going? Curious to hear the decision making of what equipment will be used in a later video.
Experimental follows the same rules to build it as IFR as standard airworthiness. Main things being heated pitot, source of navigation, etc. We want this plane to be as light as we can so will be sticking to the minimum (for now)!
You Guys are a great team…
Great video! Keep em' coming...
definitely. Enjoying making them!
Wohoo! Great work.
thank you!
Love it! Cant wait to see this thing rip around 🤙🏻
Thanks CJ!

We are so excited to be cruising around in this airplane. Yours sounds like the ideal Garmin setup! Autopilot will be key for us.

You have taildraggers in your life, so why a tricycle geared RV-7A?
