That was an electrifying game. The queens of Caribbean gave Russia a run for their money. If you watched it live, you were treated to a great match. Bravo to both teams.
The setter from DR has been really bad today and games before, I think they should have another setter to replace.

@@noone-gj5du Yes Benson. If I were Russia, I will make Fedorotseva a starting attacker. Very promising and young. She could be their "Boskovic". Give her tons of exposure, let her play alongside Goncharova. Goncha could be an attacking machine but she needs help. Kosheleva is not as efficient as she was before in scoring, Voronkova keeps getting blocked. Middle blockers should be active. They have the raw materials. They need good training. Quality of their Men's team is far ahead of the women's.

Russia now is mediocore team, even worst with old style of play, bad reception, passings, receiving, floor defense and so on. And no improvement of most of their players especially Voronkova....

They have the height, just pathetic floor D and bad reception.

@@jazzi11xa of course they would blame it to Busato, but the real problem is their domestic development and their sport body. Most women's volleyball academy and colleges in Russia still underfund and practising old style volleyball....even their women's super league keep losing their prestiges.

I think russia should give more playing to federovtseva than voronkova, she cant jump as high as arina thats why she is always blocked. Love russia team, everyone played very well.

Poor Russia....they need to change their style of plays domestically. Nothing Busato can do with this line up...they maybe would sit on the bottom of their pool in Tokyo, and quick so early with smile in their faces.
Too bad, they're only players. They can't change anything coz it's up to the coaches and most of the Russian coaches available are old already. So old habits are so deep already. 🤦🏼♂️

почему юная федоровцева может перевести мяч в линию 3:10, а опытная воронкова 2:05 нет? у гончаровой кисть хорошая, но она медленная и еле отрывается от пола. казалось бы наш волейбол хотя бы в плане функциональности всегда был на высоте, а тут уже и с этим проблемы

Russia is a very strong team but their plays are very basic. I think they need step their game up.

Упаси Боже, ни в коем случае. На самом деле, в западноевропейском волейболе уже третий год идёт довольно жётская дискуссия на тему именно опускания сетки на 4 сантиметра до 220 сантиметров, так как в большинстве европейских стран и в помине нет того потенциала роста, как в России. Детки маленькие, подбор у волейбола последние лет 10 очень слабый, проигрывается конкуренция подавляющему количеству других видов спорта. Да в том же женском футболе в, например, той же Германии, рослых девочек раза в 4 больше, чем в любой волейбольной секции. Ко всему прочему это происходит и потому, что девочка, которая будет играть пусть даже в 11 футбольной лиге Германии, будет зарабатывать в месяц столько же, сколько девочка, играющая во второй волейбольной лиге страны. Преподаватели спорта в школах даже не хотят доводить до детей азы волейбола, как вида спорта, потому что дети постоянно выбивают себе пальцы, калечатся, подворачивая голеностоп при приземлении... Волейбол 21 века - это трагедия, по крайней мере в Европе и здесь пытаются сделать всё, чтобы хоть как-то привлечь детей. В том числе и опусканием сетки вниз, чтобы и невысокорослые девочки получили хоть какой-то шанс поиграть в нападении и получить удовольствие от игры, вместо того, чтобы стать миллионной либеро в никому не нужных командах.. Волейболу катастрофически не хватает массовости, а значит, игру нужно упрощать, а не усложнять, иначе лет через 15-20 этот вид спорта будет просто утерян. Вот, технику уже практически не свистят. И правильно. Не нужно заново изобретать колесо, его просто нужно снова сделать круглым.

Não entendo voronkova titular, ela é a pior ponta da Rússia sem dúvidas, ela simplesmente não salta e não trabalho a jogada. E ainda bate forte como se fosse passar por cima.

Nothing wrong with a foreigner coach. What they need is to keep up with modern volleyball and not just rely on their height.
Also, Busato has been coaching in Russia for almost 20 yrs apparently. He was also part of the coaching staff of the men's gold medal win in 2012

@@danyelaru489 Malova is actually going to join them in the 4th week (as reported). She will be with Ana Lazareva. Sometimes, a coach can only work with players he was provided. There's nothing he can do if the players aren't available.
Although yes, Efimova is better than Malgina.
