Vargas is on fire!! Her numbers speak volumes and what she is doing for the team is by far what others failed to. Dominican didn’t take advantage of their height and smart setter. Overall third week is going to be so tough for the first 7 teams.
Vargas was perfect, others failed, right? Güneş made 14 points with 9 blocks, Sahin made 3 blocks as a setter, and used great serves, Baladin played effectively, both offensively and defensively...
@@genieinabottle7832 failed in the sense of what some players achieved in last years. I did not mean that during this VNL other Turkish players didn’t score. I mean from the day she joined the team , the impact of Vargas is remarkable, in just 8 games the girl has stolen thousands of hearts in Türkiey and around the world, whereas 2 or 3 players had spent years and years in the national team doing the same silly mistakes with no improvement.
Overall the spirit that Daniele has brought is impressive. Should we say that he is lucky to Have Vargas or should we say Giovanni Guidetti was not lucky!?!

I think Santarelli is bringing his magic also. He made 6’4 tall setter Elif a must for the team. Such a tall good setter means the opponent setter will think twice to set the ball to number 4. This is huge for defense block system. But we shouldn’t talk too early as Turkish teams are known to be not consistent. If Santarelli brings consistency and tall young talents from U17 team such as Dilay, Defne, Safranova and Ilayda Mumcular, this team will be in the top 3 in major tournaments.

@@oguzhan9424 Fair, but we should not fail to appreciate the huge contributions Vargas makes for the team.
In my opinion, we could have lost some of the matches we won if Varges was not playing for us.
Also, if we want to be a real contender for the top spots, we should improve our defense.
Especially against those drop shots behind the blockers, most of which turned out to be a point for the opposition in this match.
Almost all other teams are defending better than us.

Im not rejecting what Vargas is adding to the team. Im very happy that we have a talent like Vargas in our team and she excites me very much. But to say that we weren’t a top team before Vargas is just stupid! Our girls have achieved the longest non losing streak in international matches without Vargas. Of course i hope we can beat that record with Vargas again. Maybe with Vargas we can at last be the absolute best in women volleybal, time will tell. But we were a top team then and we are a top team now.

Elif in my opinion is the most under-rated setter in the world. I try following her in league but she spends more time on the bench but understandably Ozbay is also world class . I think with Elif's height she can produce an edge though. Hopefully she can get picked up by a club that gives her more exposure and an opportunity to get more game time experience. I really would love to see more of her!!!
I totally agree and she is only 20, she is 6’4 tall which means it will be very good for Turkish defense block system. When Ozbay played opponent setters set the ball to number 4 so that they can use parallel or block out. This is not the case now. That’s why Zehra Gines made lots of blocks today

In all honesty, this match was mostly Vargas vs Dominican Republic. This is not a bad thing though because Turkiye have an offensive weapon that can score even when it seems almost impossible to. She also has an amazing serve that I would not want to receive 😅😂
When I was watching this match, it felt that Karakurt was more of a liability rather than a weapon for Turkey. She has great offensive power at times, but she has a high chance of overshooting and has poor serve reception. Every team will exploit this for as long as she is on the court. It is smart for Turkiye to have two liberos on the court to receive serve because that was one of the biggest flaws for them. Dominican Republic put up a fight, but Turkiye has more squad depth and more experienced players. Congrats to Turkiye 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
El equipo de Vargas es muy bueno. Constantemente recibe buenos pases y tiene la oportunidad de mostrarse. No olvidemos que Turquía siempre está 6 o 7 en el ranking mundial. Así era antes de Vargas. El equipo con el que juegan siempre brilla el mejores jugadores.
Bu yıla kadar aldığımız galibiyetlerde Vargas yoktu her başarımızı Vargasa yormak aptalca. Çok iyi bir oyuncu çok şanslıyız takımımızda olduğu için çok da seviyoruz ama diğer oyuncularımızı aşağılayamaz kimse . Ebrar bu maç kötüydü diğer maçlarda skorerlerdendi. Asıl pozisyonu pasör çaprazı ama smaçör olarak oynamaya çalışıyor bu takım için katkıları çok büyük biz olimpiyatlara giderken Vargas yoktu ebrar vardı. Haddinizi bilin lütfen. Ebrar da Vargas da bu takimin en önemli iki ismi bizim de canlarımızdır ❤ ayrıca 9 kez üst üste yendiğimiz polonyayi vargas varken yenemedik o kadar galibiyeti bizim oyuncularımız kazandı herkes kendi ülkesine baksin

Turkiye is a great team and I am a fan of Fenerbahce and VakifBank. I also love how much Turkiye invests in Volleyball. I am just pointing out how well Vargas did in this match. Her performance was so good that she stood out in the whole game.
Karakurt is also a great player. It’s just that she hasn’t shown her best in this match. She is still young so of course she will continue to improve!

I can’t tell how Türkiye won the match with 3-1 scoring by this highlights but thank you for putting name of Türkiye in the header at least. Also, the difference between envy and jealousy is quite obvious. You guys are being jealous and adversely hateful in the comments. Still, I would not already expect you to congratulate Turkish team while you admire the Italian team as a whole although Egonu has been what made the team shine. At the end of the day, you show the best example of hypocrisy. I hope you’re gonna digest the win at some point but won’t be easy I’d give you that. Anyway, congrats Turkish Team.

Vargas is really something else. She is not just physically strong, she has great technique and sees the court, plays smart.
I also really liked Zehra's performance in this match. They seem to build a good partnership in the block with Vargas.
But I really don't have anything positive to say about the rest of the team. They were just there to complete the team to 6! Our defence is absolutely miserable and at times laughable.
And don't praise the decrease in service errors. The errors dropped because they weren't putting any pressure from the service line. You don't do mistakes with easy serves. The moment they try hard serves they start making mistakes. 5 in the first set!

I reckon our weakest points are the receptions and services.
Unless we improve in those areas, we can not be a top tier team like USA, Brazil etc.

Vargas and Zehra were amazing there are no other words for them. Ebrar was bad but it is because of adapting to a new position I think. I hope they will be improving but we still need good reception. It is a lack of libero I missed Gizem. We need better spikers Saliha and Derya is going in a bad way. I wish Tuğba could return as soon as possible. Eda had less impact at the match. If ebrar and eda were a bit more effective this match would end with a 3-0 win.
I think she was tired or she had bad news or something. She was very unhappy today. She didn't smile once.

They shouldn't be accusing a mother of a traitor to Cuba who was worried about her daughter's wounded shoulder and who tried to get her healed in another private hospital because the Cuban government hospital could not heal well. Instead, they should try to understand her concerns and help her in the best way they could. This is not Türkiye's blame... I haven't seen our girls including Vargas smile that much before... This VNL, they are happy and I'm also happy for them. I hope that we can qualify for the Olympics again...

No we played today as you see. Now we and other 7 teams will go to Thailand and the other 8 will go to South Korea. If Dominican Republic can reach to quarter finals yes we might play again but unfortunately I don't think so. This year they play worse than last one.
