- The asymmetrical collar on that dress; I Live!
Color Me Barbra was Barbra Streisand's second television special, broadcast on March 30, 1966 and is, naturally, filmed in color. The first sequence was shot at the Philadelphia Museum of Art, with Streisand wandering among the masterworks and antiquities, even singing "Where or When" dressed as Nefertiti. Next she's among a circus of animals, singing "Try to remember" to the elephant or poking fun at herself by telling the anteater "We have so much in common." As with My Name Is Barbra, the final act is her just singing at a mike, with "Any Place I Hang My Hat Is Home" and "It Had to Be You." Previously released as part of the five-disc Barbra Streisand: The Television Specials.
Streisand is a galaxy among stars. A literal one of a kind. There is NO pop singing so-called diva today who can match this performance, nor most anything Barbra sings.
I agree. ❤️❤️❤️
I use to love her but she turned me off by being a complete bitch to everyone around her. I think Connie Francis was just as good a vocalist as Streisand, possibly better. Look up songs like "Magdalena". Also, Whitney Houston and Celine Dion probably outmatched her as well.
Totally agreed! No one ever like her!
Absolutely correct. And it's not and never has been just her spectacular voice. She's an all-around performer: sings, acts, dances, does comedy, romance, she can literally do it all.
I adore this french version - stunning Babs!!!
Modigliani !!
BARBRA is just beautiful ✨ powerfull song in french ..
Every words perfectly articulate ...
She is the best !!!💖
This chanson is a play in three acts. Barbra knows better than anyone how to reveal an entire emotional world in 3 minutes that does justice to these songs. What's more, she is a performer like no other, not only with her voice but also with her body.
Love her singing in French! Gorgeous!
I am stunned by this woman's talent! A devotee since 1963 when my Mother introduced me to Barbra.
Her vocal dynamics are unmatched.
A brilliant performance from Color Me Barbra along with the others. Thank You!
❤️❤️❤️
I love Barbra so much. There's emotion and so much power in her voice. A Bulgarian version brought me here, which is called Blika Den (Блика ден) by Pasha Christova.
100 thumbs up. Unbelievable!!!!
Barbra in her prime !! I love it !
Simply the most unique performer, perhaps of all time. In her memoirs, she surprisingly says that she didn’t know the French language, although she sounds remarkably fluent. She also recounts that there were only 36 hours to film this entire tv special, so most of these songs were sung in the middle of the night.
I don't believe they recorded her singing in the museum. The parts where she is singing inside the museum are lip synced, and the segments where she "enters" the paintings were recorded in a studio.
It's only 1966. The voice is beyond exquisite and it's remarkable how Our Barbra already knows how to work the camera lens.
Absolument genial , who else in sept. 2022 ?
MEEEE in 2023 🎉
@@thenitenitecaraloo7101 This is timeless art. It is as fresh and exciting now in 2023 as it was in '66.
Free Again in French. Superb!
GORGEOUS!!!!!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS!!!😢❤
Magnifique chanson FRANÇAISE interprété par Jacqueline DANNO..en 1966....
...can we talk about how this was a *TWENTY-THREE* Year Old, doing a FRENCH tune, effortlessly, with it's enunciation!? ...Color her, BARBRA..... (2:58) ; )
So beautiful sung in French.
Non, c'est rien
Aussi peu, croyez le bien
Ca ira mieux des demain
Avec le temps qui passe
Dans la vie tout s'efface
Non, c'est rien
A qui bon tendre vos mains
Je n'ai pas tant de chagrin
C'est vous qui etes tristes
Mes amis, partez vite
Laissez moi cette nuit
Sortez, mais sans moi
Allez boire a ma sante
Rapportez votre pitie
Vous me faites rire, bien rire
Non, s
C’est rien
Aussi peu croyez le bien
Cet amour n'etait plus rien
D'autre qu'une habitude
J'en ai la certitude
Non,c’est rien
Ce garcon, moi j'ai le plains
Ne croyez pas que demain
Une seule seconde
Je serai seule au monde
Laissez, laissez-moi cette nuit
Sortez mais sans moi
Allez boire a mes amours
A tous mes futurs amours
Mes prochains je t'aime
Je t'aime
Laissez-moi et ne croyez pas surtout pas
Que je vais pleurer pour ca
Suel mon coeur n'why comprend rien
Mais a part ca rien, rien
Non c’est rien, aussi peu croyez le bien
Je n'ai pas tant de chagrin
Je n'ai pas tant de chagrin
Non c’est rien
Non c’est rien
Rien!
