  • Known for the sitcoms “Community” and “Dr. Ken,” TODAY’s Take guest co-host Ken Jeong was also a practicing physician for seven years. He says working as a stand-up comedian helped his bedside manner as a doctor, and jokes, “My whole life is a violation of HIPA law.”

The hosts were genuinely laughing..unlike the fake laughs in most other interviews.

To become a practicing Dr is already hard enough. Only the top 1-2$ of most graduating classes go into medicine. How impressive is it for any one's resume, comedian or not, to have medicine to fall back on or in his (or her) background. Most comedians have backgrounds that are less than respectable or admirable. High school drop-outs, no post-secondary education (college)...etc. If it ends one day for Ken he's got a high paying high respect job waiting. And his wife is a doctor. No worries money wise for him...

Whatever you do dont believe the movie about the pleasurable doctor practice w/ all the atractive female patients and his good bedside manner. in 2015 an atractive female patient in lobby doctor ran into the bathroom after hinting not to ask him about her. seriously.

Ummm...just watched this clip again...was that final remark "...happy ending" an Asian jab? Because Ken did "...in mi biznezZ!!". That's part of his routine. Don't think Ken intended to offend. Did something go on behind the scenes. Was almost as if there were some underlying racial jabs being thrown. Maybe I'm imagining things.
Early on when they brought out the "medical lunch box"...they said "nick nacks and doodads"...Ken repeated that...was that a jab? Hmm...usually don't see that in Ken's other interviews (e.g Henry Connick Jr's show, Lopez Show, and other talk shows).
