I definitely see what you mean about changbin. Even from the beginning he’s been excellent at everything from rapping to singing to dancing. Fun fact changbin actually was a dancer before he got into jype (even has a fancam from school of him doing a dance cover to a song and I also believe he was the leader of the schools dance team). He also started off as a vocalist but his instructor thought he had the voice and style of a rapper more so he started learning and absolutely loved it. He really is such an all rounder! just to correct you a bit, the vocal instructor that said he would be better suited as a rapper is not when he was a part of jype, it was an academy he went to after school and that academy got him the audition for jype he got in to jype on the basis of his rap and lyrics :) but yes he was initially interested in dance *edit* he talked about it in his vlives

These are indeed off their first (as in _pre-debut)_ album; they wrote these while they were shooting their survival show, and these two songs were unveiled in the final episode. I'm _fairly_ convinced that the male voiceover you hear in the intro to Grrr is actually the MC for the final, Kim Il-joong, but I've never seen it stated anywhere one way or the other, so I could be completely wrong. The concept behind Grrr is a Korean theory that suggests you can kinda only store a limited amount of rage. They're basically saying: "If I'm angry, don't try to stop me or talk me down... just let me thrash for a bit, and I'll burn myself out naturally". They describe it relating to adolescent tantrums, but it's a trait I've seen in a lot of people of all ages... It's also funny watching JYP trying to pronounce the title... 😂 Spread My Wings (also known as Young Wings) is about fighting the temptation to grow up too fast. They actually had a little help from GOT7's JB and Jinyoung for the choreo; SKZ gave them a preview, and they helped them iron out the timing for the final version. Totally agree on your final analysis. While their skills have developed over the years, they still make most of their songs the same way they _always_ have; Chan builds a (huge) library of base tracks from instrumentals and samples, then they take the tracks that inspire them and add lyrics and a melody, gradually polishing up to a finished song. And it _works._

Look at these literal infants!! Stays call “Spread My Wings” Seungmin’s song but the killer is that he’s said he doesn’t like his voice on this track and wishes he could redo it. Seungmin has always been a beautiful vocalist but it is quite something to see how much he’s improved since this release. As you said, they all improved but I think none more than Seungmin and Jeongin. I’m sure Woojin leaving put a lot of pressure on them as roles within the group shifted but their hard work has paid off. All of the members have commented on how hard Seungmin works and gosh constantly over how lucky they are he’s their main vocalist.❤️ I know reacting to mnet stuff is always really tricky but if you’ve haven’t watched their kingdom performance of “I’ll Be Your Man” and “Love Poem”, you absolutely should! Their vocals are🔥 (I know Woojin is a touchy subject but I’ve always felt he’s had a strong and powerful voice and I’m happy for him that he was able to debut as a soloist and put out music that he wants to)
