when you listen to samus & chill side by side metroid metal..... you fully understand how amazing a time it is to be alive. actually though, musically it's so cool hearing so many vibes coming from one song done in different renditions... all just from the eerie and mysterious originals. Long live Samus Aran!
This has no right being as good as it is. The way it takes the more dramatic themes and turns them into laidback beats is impressive. Great work all round!

It's finally here, what we've all been waiting for has come, Well, not quite. we've still got to wait 7 more days til Metdroid Dread comes out. Until then, we now have this awesome new soundtrack to listen to.
First beat - am absolutely hooked; so rich, capturing the Metroid vibe perfectly - an air of mystery, spacy synthy keys and those familiar melodies - love it Chewie!
Super Metroid got me hooked back in the late 90's. Loved the series since then, went to play all the other games available and I must say that it warms my heart to finally see more hoomans becoming fans.. The sound tracks were definitely one of the things I love most (got 'em on my phone for the commutes) and Samus & Chill adds a new dimension to the OST experience. So mr Chewie, you are an amazing sound wizard! Thank you for sharing musical talents with us. I wish there was a counter on the videos, I'm pretty sure I already played this video from beginning to end at least 30 times 😊 and that's not others in the "& Chill" library! Soooooo, what's next? 👊😎
Definitely would not have imagined a Lower Brinstar lo-fi remix to be this true to the original yet sooooo iconic lo-fi and be this good! New favorite playlist right here!
This isn't really the kind of stuff I listen to, but I really enjoyed this. I was impressed with all the different ways you made otherwise tense action themes and dark foreboding themes sound peaceful and relaxing. I got especially excited when my boy Ridley made an appearance, because I had thought "There's no way they can make Ridley sound chill..." but you did. The chords sounded super cool, and the writing was very well done. The variations on these classic tracks were nice, and honestly the only bad thing I can say is that Ridley's theme was attributed to that disgusting excuse for a game Other M. Great job. I'll be coming back to this one.
Love this! Great background music for writing a sci-fi. Wild how well the originals translated to feel-good chill tracks (though I will say that no amount of dressing can manage to make magmoor caverns less ominous.) Lovely work!

I love this so much! Metroid has been my favorite video game series since I first played Super Metroid and Metroid Prime, and it's nice to see it getting some love lately. This album is pretty darn awesome
I loved metroid dread but the prime series will forever hold a special place in my heart especially the third one. Hopefully they pick up the prime series again!
Dread really refilled that old void of just countless hours of my childhood playing zero mission and fusion on the gba while my sis and bro had GameCube and xbox, the speedruns, the 100% runs, always playing and endless memories playing, Dread really felt just like home and a very old friend finally back
first time listening to lofi hip hop so the only reason I'm listening to this because yt keeps recommending it to me but I'm glad it did because I find it amazing to see songs from my favorite franchise get remixed into this genre because it is truly amazing
Just found this today because of my recent Metroid obsession thanks to Dread releasing. This is incredible and I loved listening to every single second of it.
I would love a synth version of these songs, just to emphasize the eeriness and mystery of the franchise (also, lofi and synth is the best study tunes, you cant change my mind)
Bruh this album is too much of a banger. I was not ready for this! I played and beat all of Samus Returns and some others, so I instantly recognized some of these iterations. I gotta download this!

Metroid Dread is real. I was worried I'd never see the day. First I turned to Castlevania to scratch the Metroid itch. Then, after they stopped making IGAvanias I turned to Indie games. I wondered how a series that inspired so many successful indie games could remain on ice for so long. But now, we have Dread, and it is doing well! Old fans are happy, new fans are getting into the series, and hopefully we'll see another Metroid Renaissance like we saw in the early 2000s.
@AaronJLong metroid dread is an awesome 2d side scrollers but for me, the music was very lackluster. In face, that only song I really cared about was the BGM to the Quiet Robe scene....which was a slower tempo of a Super Metroid song Red Brinstar. I hope that Prime 4 Beyond will have an epic soundtrack that will make the game rememberable like Super Metroid's
You know, after listening to this a few times, I'm actually reminded of the vibes from ps1 rpgs like FF8 and Parasite Eve and Persona 3. Wulp, time to go down THAT rabbit hole now. Thanks!
