I was playing frustated recently and just smashing stacks left and right. Just bullying so called experts and masters. No one wants to exchange troops, just sit and wait.
That was entertaining. When it stalemated I fast forwarded to just the right spot when you card blocked W and B didn’t know what you were doing so got angry at you for breaking his bonus. Cleaned it out! LOL. Funny W was so quick at attacking but didn’t understand he had the game won.

Anyone can do this, but why would you, instead of doing something more productive instead?

My friends and I always kicked around the idea of weapons development like in Axis and Allies. For example roll 3 dice and if we got 3 sixes we could nuke an opponent’s territory where all their troops died and the territory became a blizzard.
I survived watching this “what’s right and wrong with Meta” let’s you survive the sewer and beat both blue must have bonus bot out boi and white take a card and pass wuss. Personally I like watching alternative settings Sunday snipe people all day long!
I was surprised that you didn't select your capital on the territory in the middle of Spain. With the blizzard, it still secured the rest of the pocket.
I think yellow slamming your stack at 47 minutes wasn't a suicide retaliation for breaking him. I think he saw the 300 stack in Gascony and assumed you were all in on that stack and were totally empty behind. He thought he was going to smash through and find a bunch of empty caps, get the kill, and take over your position. When he saw your 100 stack on cap he realized he blundered but it was too late. When you mentioned putting all of your troops on Gascony it made some sense because it might prevent this type of misunderstanding which would have cost you the game against more proactive opponents. Not saying it was a mistake, just that when you see how these guys think you have to decide if you want to go bigger, go smaller, or take the risk. All in all though, great game!
I agree but that is also a sign of a lower skill player as any master or grandmaster that is half decent should realise how many troops the player beside them had generated so it was obvious based on that play that yellow was a lower rank and that is probably why Kylted brought that up during the match. I agree if you aren't paying attention you could make that mistake but more skill players should rarely make that mistake I'd hope.
a fine game. the World Champion played with sober restraint and well-timed aggression. i think that white failed to press his advantage in the mid-point of the game.
I've heard you mention many times that someone must be good because they attack fast, only to discover they are often intermediate or novice. Attacking quickly is a mechanical skill that anyone can pull off with relatively low playtime if they practice speed. The strategy aspect of the game on the other hand, requires logical reasoning, tactical awareness, and analysis built over hundreds or thousands of hours. While good players certainly attack fast, I don't think simply attacking fast means they are good. White missed numerous chances to get kills and snowball a win but I don't think they had the skill necessary to read the fog and assess the risk vs reward.
Oh yeah.. my phrasing is moreso that they've been around a little bit.. it doesn't necessarily mean they are good, it's just my way of acknowledging that they aren't new
@Kylted white player is on my list. One of the most annoying players in the game and I never let him in my lobbies again. I was so happy seeing you give him third. Dude refused to play for an hour, could have easily killed you and yellow if he wasnt such a chicken and when he finally decided to play he plays terribly and gets cardblocked easily. Thanks for the fun watch! I honestly enjoy your longer videos if it means we get to see your 1v1 skills and manipulating big bot stacks. I know those games annoy you but when I got the time, i enjoy them a lot

There was ONE thing you could have done different which I think would be the play if you see the suicide coming, and that's fortify all off cap to the stack. Yellow sees 420 troops with his 360 and probably doesn't suicide like an idiot. Who knows. *Shrugs*
I was enjoying these settings with neutral bot and alliances but even with that now, there will be 2 people just sitting there forever and then get mad at me for trying to make something happen.

You can add shortcuts for just about everything. I use several myself (superkey + f opens my filemanager, superkey + b opens my webbrowser, superkey + 1, 2, 3 or 4 changes my workspace... etc). Just google your specific command in the terminal and you can shortcut anything in Linux. Good luck with it

Hitting the Yellow 20 doesn’t seem to help because you still have to break Blue anyway if Yellow doesn’t respond. If you break blue immediately, maybe he figures out the situation and trades with you in France? Life is tough when you’re better than everyone else and don’t know how stupid they are. Yellow could card traded with you forever in WA.
I dont remember exactly what was going on in the scenario u are mentioning.. but it's tough to read the opponents and play around them. Often I would do completely opposite things depending on my read on particular players

I could tell yellow wasnt that good, holding troops off caps to "secure" bonuses is a sure way to die early. White has potential, i didnt place him as a master i was leaning towards expert due to his neverending lack of information of what was going on on the board. You can play passive and win but only against bad players. Yellow also cant do math, holding 80 troops off of cap early on just to secure a +4 bonus, he needs to hold it for 20 turns to just break even on that investment. So he perpetually fucked himself over with bad decisions. If he was smart he would just place like 10 there to show "this is my bonus please dont break it" Its often far far far better to give up a bonus to get a place to trade cards which he easily could had done if he wanted too so both you and him could get stronger.
If you played against half decent players you would get wrecked, no offence. You make way too many errors as a grandmaster. Need to focus on your gameplay
The truth is 'half decent players' make this game take 3-5 hours. And the best players in the world playing this game.. if they ONLY care about winning and nothing else matters.. it will infinitely stalemate. These settings are not viable at the highest level hence why they are not in main tournaments
For example when you left 100 troops on cap instead of fortifying almost everything on Gascony. Pivotal error. You should have been card blocked at that point if yellow knew how to play the game

Euro Advanced Caps is a victim of its own success. It has become saturated with players taking a card and passing to get to GM rank.
