I feel like the shelves need BIGGER pieces to fill up the white spaces
yes! it looks tragic like this. cluttered and random. i also can't get over those random mugs and then a shelf with alcohol like its a frat house ahaha. its weird looking, especially since its one of the first things you see when entering the apartment

Yes! I feel like she should've gotten custom doors on a few shelves because the random stuff just doesn't go with the vibe of the rest of the place especially being the first thing you walk in & see
For the shelves, because you need the larger storage piece maybe line the bottom shelves with matching white organiser boxes so they blend in but you have storage so you can get rid of the larger storage cabinet, first shelf section, make a 'drop zone' for your keys, handbag of the day, command hook the back of the matches box so it lift it off but that's not necessary, fill as you go, don't rush it, adjust the shelves to all the same levels so it looks cleaner ! Even a few larger art pieces to fill the large spaces! You rock x
The shelves need a revamp lol add more books like a library cause that can take up lots of space. I’d remove the glasses and mugs they are very strange to be there. Decor shelves should be such that decor. Alcohol should be put low so it’s not on the forefront, very tacky. My mom is a designer which is where I get this all from. Mix and match photos/frames with books and decor pieces.
yessss, agree so much. it looks so random and i am surprised her "interior designer" just went with that. i lost it when they were spending time on rearranging the different bottles of alcohol as if made a difference where which tacky bottle was placed :D
I totally relate to your anxiety in the beginning. When I miss a workout in the morning I go back and fourth on whether I should listen to my body and rest or go once I've woken up or in the evening and obsess over it. It's the worst and I'm glad you're sharing your struggles with it too!!

what if you put some doors over one of the big sections? it could look nice to cut up the open space and maybe you could have some storage (overflow beverages?)
OMG 10/10 RECOMMEND BROADWAY DANCE COMPANY IN NYC FOR DANCE CLASSES. There is all levels and ages there and you just sign up/pay per class. The hip hop is unreal. It is the vibes of a workout studio there but dance classes insteads.
As far as the shelves in the hallway, I would honestly just get curtains and cover everything up. That way you can use them as storage and it looks more clean

For all the comments about going to go buy decor and books, I feel like just buying stuff just for the aesthetic doesn’t really go with Danielle’s minimalist clean vibe in the house. Also, Danielle is not a big reader and she uses a kindle so who are we kidding with a library. Better to focus on keeping the shelves functional for storage while also cute and very Danielle. I can’t wait to see how it turns out! I vote a candle collection shelf!

I think it is unfortunate that someone put all those shallow shevels in that hallway. I definitely would do some large coffee tables books. I am not a fan of a "bar cart" it is so cluttered looking. Same with Brooke's.
I hate saying this but I hope you aren't paying for the designer. If you are then give her some monet and let her do her thing.
Don't fill it with throw away junk. Maybe do some large frame maps of special places. You can get cool prints off of etsy. That would take up a lot of space and wouldn't feel forced.
But remember the more little stuff you put on there the more you have to dust.
If you liked the moss balls then do more smaller ones.
Maybe some tall funky candle sticks might be fun.
