- How to build A coffee table by bending Ply wood. In this video I will show you how I made this modern coffee table with a twist.. or should I say "curve" haha.. Ill see my way out now. Anyways the table is 16 in tall by 4 feet long and 23 in wide .For the coffee table used a plywood frame and wrapped it around with 3/4 in plywood on top and plastic sheet on the inside. unfortunately I do not have any plans because I did not use plans to make this, I just went for it. I used true black stain for the table top to give it that real modern look and finished it off with some wipe on poly. so far i have tested the table by sitting on it so i know for a fact it can hold 150LB no problem.

I’d suggest red for bottom. I like the look of women’s high heals that have bottom red souls, colors make it really stand out.
continues to say this is sketchy don't this at home....me at home : what mama don't know won't hurt her... lmao love your content so glad I found this your a Gem my dude
Thank you!
I really love the bottom as white it's such a nice contrast
I like it. Good build without needing bent lamination and steam etc. [ which a lot of people don't have access to ] yours is probably easier for most and had some good features. Thks from the UK
High quality coffee table
Honestly this is amazing I would buy it
That looks best white! It pops bigtime!
Nice build, thanks. I think the black finish do it justice.
The design is cool, great job! I would leave it white as well.
Fantastic fantastic I love it, thank you
Thank you!
Nice job
I will try
Great Job!!!! For the bottom, what I would try is to keep it white and implement color changing LEDs.
Wow. I wish i was so skillful. Nice work.
Omg i was looking for this exact video for
Hours thanks
Glad I could help
Looks really good. A couple suggestions: To make the curve of bends cleaner, the kerf cuts needed to be deeper, I would also suggest wetting the board before bending to loosen up the grain. Also, a straight edge with two claps is basically as good as a track saw, just less efficient.
Yeah I did use a red rag to wet the board. And true haha but I have my track saw now so I'll be using that 😅
I love your videos I can relate and I don't fall asleep You're the best!!!
i get my best naps when i watch youtube lol
Thats very cool. I am getting some very good ideals from this video.
Your video quality is going up keep it up
Thank you!
Very Nice
Super duper. 👍
I bet your home might be museum of furniture!
It's getting there haha
Nice looking table
Thank you!
Super bro..
I will try
Great job need to try it.. also love your choice of music, coming to think about it whats the name of the song prior to the last song where u were applying the poly?
A possible alternative build method... Cut your horizontal braces down by however thick your plywood top is, minus 1/16 inches, that way, once it's glued and tacked on, the plywood is 1/16" taller than the vertical support. When you sand it down, it'll sand level. You can save on material since you won't need to cut the plywood as wide, and won't need to cut the veneer to hide those kerf bends.
I also wonder how the table would look if you used smaller cuts on the plywood? Would it have a smoother curve, or be just as blocky?
Red would look cool.
would it be possible to downscale this to a regular sized usb-c port
Dope
Can you share the size of this awesome coffee table?
A bead board top would look cool too. Also instead of plastic inner-skin build som fold out pocket cupboard/shelves for remotes, game controllers, etc.
I would suggest silver leaf. Its a cool looking finish you can’t replicate with paint and it should stick to your plastic.
Lit 🔥
Turned out great. Do you own a router table? I've been meaning to make one but keep putting it off. Then when I use my router, I wish I had a table. Not just for efficiency but for dust control as well.
I do not have a router table but it is on my tool list haha
What is the software design do you use?
I use sketchup web version. It's free 🙌
Cool ass table. Looks just painted black to me though. I'm willing to bet the grain profiles are much more visible in person
👍👍
Leaving it white keeps it clean and fresh. Anything else would probably shorten the ‘shelf life.’
👌👌👌👌👌👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Wish you not paint it put you did a great job ❤️❤️
Thank you!
Commenting for algorithm
What kind of plywood that you bend ????
Baltic birch plywood
Leave it white.
I vote hot pink
Took the words right out of my mouth lol
