Omg I had this same issue when I worked at Michael’s. We had scanners that were literally smartphones so that was the same, but the worst part was that one day they decided to get rid of land lines and use those phones as the store phone. The worst part: there was always 1 cashier on at a time and they were also the one person who was supposed to pick up the phone. So all the time I had people screaming at me (while struggling to hear what the person on the phone was saying) for “being on the phone instead of checking them out” when I was literally just doing my job. Getting rid of the landline was a stupid ass idea. I quit soon after but my heart goes out to everyone working at Michael’s😭😂❤️

This is why I don’t have a part time job. I was in the middle of an interview & the manager had already offered me the position. We were on the sales floor as the manager was explaining some store changes from when I previously had worked there. What all salespeople should understand that when Mama is shopping, no matter what I or my daughter wants is paid from my unlimited credit card! She doesn’t have the spare money…I’m the one you need to convince!!

I’ve had people come up to me asking for help while I’m literally walking out the door with my jacket and bag in hand like yes I work here but not right now! 😂
@@xlittle_litax same
We use our cell phones all day at work to communicate with our coworkers and even to speak with guests and vendors. Once in a while, I’ll get a look from a guest and I know what they’re thinking. Most of the time I’ll say “Oh. Sorry. I’m trying to reach our manager. Is there something I can help you with first?”That usually does the trick for some reason.
Considering my earbuds get yanked out when my phone falls on the floor and usually those walkie earbuds have the over the ear piece I cannot imagine how much that would hurt. I physically grimaced when it happened.
This happened to me one time when I was off the clock shopping. Lady ripped out my headphones and then stomped on them on the ground. Ppl are nuts!
You could sue them for damage to your items, or get them arrested! Never do the same to them though, I know it was Tempting but it could make you both look bad
I NEED the rest of the tea. What happened next? In detail, plz.🍿
Wow some people really never learned how to be around other people and be respectful and it shows!
I would of lost my job if someone snatched something out my ear.
**thanks for the likes everybody. I never gotten so many before lol**
Nah, you were defending yourself. Protected by the law, friend. Lol
@PaulaLPope true to some extent. Tho I wouldn't of gotten in trouble with the law some places are fire at will. Witch means they don't actually need a reason to fire someone but since we're all trying to be humans not many places randomly fire people. An incident like one in the video could still cost a person their job unless theirs a law against that as well.
@@brittainiesnoek8553in which country do you live that they can fire anyone anytime wth that’s illegal >.< (at least were I live if you didn’t steal from the shop or something like that)
Same! My ears are super sensitive! We would’ve been throwing hands!
@juli3706 it's America and it goes based off what state your in. Alabama is a fire at will, Florida is a fire at will and Michigan is a fire at will. Look it up if you don't belive me
The moment she lays hands on you is the moment you’re getting out any camera app available and snapping a picture of her and pressing charges.
Nope assault. Leave now or im calling the cops.
"Why are you yelling so loud?" Because you just yanked my way to quietly communicate with other employees out of my ear.
Fr like “Because you stole my radio you daft b-“
YESSSSS! Immediately get security. No one gets paid enough for that 💩!
Sephora customers must be unhinged over the tiniest things.
All the customers.. everywhere, trust me
I worked at a mall on Black Friday one year. The 12am-6am shift. And I saw two women start beating each other with their big Sephora bags. Security had to come and stop them.
Nah you’re getting hit for snatching that thing out of my ear.
On a side note, your makeup is amazing
I am going to need everyone in every store everywhere to deny people like this service. It needs to end. This is the one thing we can actually change, if no one deals with rude customers anymore they either have to change or do all their shopping online and never bother anyone anymore. Just first rude line they say, go, «nope, we aren’t doing that, you can leave». If your manager complains, tell them I said it was fine.
Sadly worker protection is limited or almost non existent too many places for this to be possible, people can't afford to lose their jobs. That's why unions are important.
Even if it was a cell phone, thats still assault and customer is completely in the wrong
My anger issues would NOT stand for that.
The way some people magically become entitled brats when speaking with people who work in the customer service industry is freaking nuts. Don't miss it.
Welcome to my world, not at Sephora, but at another retail store.
I'd be going to jail if someone did that to me. 💯
I spent years working at MAC and hateful customers
I’m glad to see that Sephora is finally opening up about these terrors too these type of customers will make you want to burn your brushes 🤣
i love “you need to seek a lawyer”💀😂
if anyone ever ripped my headphone out like that, its all hands i dont care if i lose my job thats self defense
Having watched Johnny Ross talk about customers in Sephora ,I know that this is spot on.
So right. THAT KAREN will definitely need a lawyer.
If a customer EVER put their hands on me they would need an ambulance and I would need the lawyer!
It’s just a skit. It’s just a skit. It’s just a skit 🫠
I quit soon after but my heart goes out to everyone working at Michael’s😭😂❤️
ohhh I couldn't have dealt with that either
i dealt with this too & just quit last month 😮💨 feeling validated
*Literally talking to someone through the earbud*
*It gets ripped out of my ear and customer yells at me for being on my phone*
Yea no I would have immediately reacted by punching them and claimed to my manager that I was afraid for my life. If someone assaults you (which is what ripping that earbud out is considered btw) you can immediately retaliate and it is considered self defense
I got told this before too. They wanted to taok to the manager so i put my call on speaker and told.them "hes right here" as I was.literslly on the company phone with my manager
This is why I don’t have a part time job. I was in the middle of an interview & the manager had already offered me the position. We were on the sales floor as the manager was explaining some store changes from when I previously had worked there. Next thing I know, a customer is yelling at a cashier bc a pre-recorded commercial went out over the speaker system in both English and Spanish. The employee was trying her best to calm the customer down. I turned the job down and left. I can’t.
Why werw they yelling wtf
@ She wanted the pre-recorded TJ Maxx credit card advertisement to be in English only. So I guess the customer assumed the lady making 7.15 / hr has the ability to make corporate changes. 😕
Ok but i love the blue and orange look! The more i look the more i live it
And the fact there are people like this ,I could never
I stopped shopping at Sephora because of other customers like this. Absolutely insane
This is exactly why i won't wear that ear thing at work..i got a drs note saying i don't have to. People are insane, not taking any chances with the one good ear i have left
If she keeps acting like that she could actually damage a medical device. You should call the police
I appreciate that if anyone were to pull off my walkie head set they'd be banned from every one of our stores in the state
The blow back effect of “the customer is always right” policy.
I’m greatful that all I’ve gotten is a disapproving head shake about me being on my phone for work. I literally need it to scan things and search for items.
Accurate except we had no security 😂 we had to fight the crazies off ourselves
Yeap these ppl are real. I used to be a manager in a shop and had to deal w them.
Even if you were extremely rude to somebody and not doing your job there is no excuse for physically assaulting someone
The color choice on that gradient shadow is gorgeous. Like a 90s Jean Paul Gaultier top.
Don't touch me, and don't come back or we'll have you arrested for trespassing.
it's crazy, cause they also will hate on it if you check in on them saying we're being too nosey
How quickly I would be getting arrested if someone pulled my head set!!! OMG!!
Obviously she doesn't know the difference between a store scanner and a cell phone❕️❗️
Girl I feel you! I used to work at Ulta and some people were horrendous to us and/or lacked brains. Our security guards had their own dedicated group of antis, too!
Ok honey ur nicer than I would be.. especially after she rip the mic.
The makeup is STUNNING!!!! ✨️✨️✨️
Dear god I won’t actually cry or scream at that customer if that happened to me on the floor 😭 like yall lemme do my job
As someone who wears a headset at my workplace, if someone ripped it off my head, my manager would’ve had a field day
I would have introduced her to vital strike points that can cause intense pain that lasts a long time that sometimes requires surgery to repair
I've got to make sure my family members don't act like this
when i was a housekeeper we also had devices that looked like phones so we can put in when we start and stop cleaning a room so they can track our times and at least 6 different times guests have “critiqued” me on using my phone in front of them
The amount of times people think my headset earbud for my radio is me listening to music .... Like ma'am no I'm listening to my coworkers...
She is just lucky someone was willing to help her! I’m 55 and have been told by many people I look much younger than my age. But, when I walk into Sephora, it is like a silent alarm goes off…”Old lady coming through, focus only on her young beautiful daughter!” And my daughter brought me in for fun, my fun, to just browse around with wide open eyes and mind, wanting someone to discuss or chat about a new eye shadow, etc. All I ever get is a glance by a salesperson wanting to do an entire makeover (am I that ugly?) or nothing at all. What all salespeople should understand that when Mama is shopping, no matter what I or my daughter wants is paid from my unlimited credit card! She doesn’t have the spare money…I’m the one you need to convince!!
Not in retail anymore but I feel like I tend to give more attention to the parents at my job, mainly because the kids and teens are so shy around their parents, plus they're the ones who have the final say in most things
"am i interrupting you..."
"Yes you are, the help desk is at the front of the store"
Walks away
I have seen this happen in grocery stores. People need to get over themselves.
The way anyone would have gotten smacked so fast snatching a headset off the head, girrlllllll
Sue for assault!!!
Lol, THAT'S assault.
Omg that shadow look is gorgeous!! 🩵🩵
I hate how much these new scanners we get look like cellphones. I get dirty looks from old people when I’m just doing my fucking job all the time now.
That last line, seriously. The entitlement of some customers is unreal.
That woman would be about 2 shades darker in foundation after I "assisted" her, ong-
Omg we have smartphones which are scanners at Staples
The put them in these special cases to make them look not like phones so people don’t get all Karen about it
So many people don’t realize how many companies are just using a phone as a piece of tech. My local grocery store replaced the physical button for the deli to get a ticket with a screen. One day the screen was acting weird so I went to see what was up onto to realize it’s just an iPhone built into the pole and someone had managed to tab out of the app
I was literally about to say "yeah thats a 'get the fuck out of my store' " when she called for security lol
I could never do retail
If this were my situation I would not have a chill demeanor. I tend to have what my family calls a “Venomous Tongue ” where most of my words regardless of it’s on purpose or not come out as harmful in some way.
it’s person if it were me absolutely would have been so offended by what i had to say.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER. Wow, handled well and maturely. I am so bad with people. I honestly don't know what I would do in that situation. Definitely would've wanted to run away and cry. The acting was also amazing.
these are the people who say nobody wants to work anymore
Grabbing your headset actually made me angry
Yeah, at that point, I'd also feel like I'd be in danger
I had a guest think I was on my phone when I was utilizing the walkie at work to communicate with someone about a product. Same thing about my device. I had answered a call and was speaking to a customer about a product, answering questions.
As an autistic person struggling with social interactions, emotional regulation an poorly unaffiliated emotions awareness she would have left the store crying and throwing threats at me... cause I've done it before. I usually am shy and calm, but I get annoyed easiley and often people say I'm cruel (without getting physically agressive). Srry, but if you're mean to me I'll be mean to you, Idgas if I get fired.
I’ve worked retail. 100% accurate.
I wouldve lost my job that day 😂
Im screaming and dropping to the ground. 0 to oscar award-winning performance immediately 👏🏽 😂
your makeup is so creative and beautiful GOD
This is why I could work in retail because absolutely not
