Brooker wanted to create a UK equivalent of The Daily Show here in the US, a comedy show that has become a primary news source for a lot of people. That did not happen, and I suspect the live format was the main reason.
I know they're probably all friendly / professional together and it's not that serious, but I love Sarah's refusal to be mocked by the other two panelists "It's not an obsession!" "YOU drink alcohol, I don't drink alcohol, I like animals in clothes!"
Sarah has made a fuss various times on different panels, I reckon she took it seriously that time as well. She has no business being on comedy panels imho.
Watched the first 3 and all the fake news is spot on except for the naked shopkeepers. The acting in that was really dodgy. I also think that if it was a real story, and the police were to be involved, it wouldn't be for health and safety, but for a public decency law.
I agree that the health and safety thing is implausible. I think they couldn't resist making it a health and safety thing because the British love to make fun of health and safely laws gone mad.
It's their store, their property. No one would be forced to enter. Public indecency would be thrown out of court within seconds. If they were to handle raw food then they'd surely be required to wear an apron but that's it. It's not like clothes are cleaner than the skin and they wouldn't go about the shop and rubb items in their butt cracks.
I don’t understand how shopkeepers being naked on Mondays would raise money for charity. Do they charge more for groceries on those days, and donate the surcharge?
I hate not living in Briton :( I wish I could move there. I have proposed to this one British girl that I have fancied for a decade several times. but i'm really annoying so she wont marry me :( If any British women want to do a USA Briton visa swap; HIT ME UP! I don't know if I want to be married for life: maybe but idk. I just wanna be able to live in Briton for a while and visit whenever I want without gay visa restrictions. We could get on 90 day fiance for all I give a shit; and I hate reality TV shows. but the money :) it would pay well I think? I'd do anything for cash at this point rly. I wanna go to university for engineering and it's taking so long to save up rant blah i'm really annoying
