    I use the TC HOF mini programmed with Steve Huff's preferences. Works great. I get them off e-bay for $75-$80.

    You really don't need an expensive pedal such as The Decimator. There are much cheaper noise gates/ killer pedals for less than half price. The T2 electronic reverb prdal is good but there are cheaper but equally good reverb pedals out there. The copper wire is only for effect and does absolutely 'NOTHING.'

    • @MetallicaFanSandman
      @MetallicaFanSandman 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bernard Kelar May I ask what settings you use for the decimator ll and T2 pedals? I’m trying to get the clearest PSB-7 responses for FM & AM.

      Bernard Kelar what does the copper wire do?

    • @bernardkelar6089
      @bernardkelar6089 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I own only the T2 pedal and a noise reduction pedal. You don't need an expensive T2 and instead buy yourself a standard reverb pedal and noise reduction pedal. Settings wise, turn the dial on noise reduction pedal to max on the right and slowely turn anti clockwise until the loud noise becomes less noisy but still audible. For reverb settings, try church or concert hall mode. You can buy reverb and noise reduction pedals from Donner at less than half price of just one of the TC Electronics pedals. Marshall make a pedal with reverse reverb mode.

      The copper wire does nothing and only used for effect. Avoid buying crystals as they do nothing either. A pedal or two plus a radio and speaker is all you need.

    • @MetallicaFanSandman
      @MetallicaFanSandman 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Bernard Kelar so in other words your saying have the noise reduction turned all the way to the right cutting out all noise except the voices will still come through? I already have everything lunchbox amp decimator ll & T2 pedal. I’m also trying to have a voice recorder hooked up to all this so I can record the portal PSB-7 audio only.

      Read the answers to your previous questions regards the settings. Keep your PSB7 away from anything electrical such as kitchen appliances and computers as this causes interference.

Remember, all the cables used on the boxes already have a copper sheathe around them, under the insulation for grounding, so adding more doesnt make much sense.

    • @kimsleep4111
      @kimsleep4111 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@lifeafterlife9939 I am a HUGE FAN of the simplest pedal possible. You dont have to fiddle with a hundred knobs to have a workable signal. I like the HOF Mini Reverb, 1 knob....you dial in until the signal cuts out, then back it off slightly. like the HOF mini reverb, again....1 knob, and its pretty much set and forget. I cannot comment specifically on your pedals, as Ive never used them....but I would say...TRY THEM, and see how they work, and if they do...GREAT....if not, then try something else. ALWAYS try to buy used, as these little pedals are usually used pretty gently. I honestly do not believe in Mr. Huffs comments that kinda say, use these pedals, or else it wont work. If you have spirits around, and take the time to have them speak to you, ANY BOX will work, often without a feed from a Receiver. Im always available to help.

    someone just needs to make a good ghost box with decent speaker, reverb and a noise gate

    • @kimsleep4111
      @kimsleep4111 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you use the pedals that are mentioned, that Steve insists on, and even a half decent speaker, it will work like crazy. Ive made several boxes, with no trouble, I just dont do the ridiculous copper antennas, or crystals...as I found they do not work. The main problem is that its expensive enough to make one, and when you but a $300.00 speaker......it makes the overall boxes price sky high

      I purchased: The Original Portal with lights from Ghost Outlet. I am really excited to get it I paid USD$799 plus to Shipping fee correct if I am wrong but if I can remember was something over $80 I think🤔.anyways I live in Canada and that was the best one I could find at the time. I Bought it July 31st and now it is August 17th. I really hope it comes soon. A while back Last year I purchased Pico Poltercom Spirit radio. I barely had it for two weeks and then it stopped working during a session. I later on noticed that the Brand new rechargeable Energizer batteries get really hot inside the radio yet the radio doesn't even turn on or make a sound😭. I am really sad about it. I contacted their Staff so many times for help and I never got any help from them ,So I don't know what to do. I could of connected my Poltercom Pico to the Original Portal with Lights whenever it arrives but now I am stuck with either using a scanner ITC Research Ghost box or an App. Either way I am just so excited to eventually receive this Portal

    hey try using the wire and not batterys and see if there is a diffirence, In spirit battery acid is the spirit of sick shit and they could turn you amp into a harsh realm, if you color it yellow it will be more tech spirit to and work better harsh realms can be built in black, yellow would be best since its a tech device.

      @@GamsVB To be honest, he should be helping people, rather than keeping all this a secret. All this does is spur questions on his honesty. He should at least tell us about the theory of what the add on items do, so people , will at least head off in the right direction when trying things on our own. Im sorry that he feels like he has been ripped off, but thats what happens when you monitize and sell things, you leave all your ideas out in the open to copy. I have been making boxes for years, inexpensively for people who are really honestly trying to delve into this. I have sent several questions to him, and have received nothing back. I really dont think that things like this should be considered profit making devices, but thats just my personal opinion. To be honest, I think that not replying to emails i s just crass. My boxes without all the silly Bells and Whistles work just as well as his.
