There is one racist passage in the whole book; "And yet the white race, the youngest branch of the species of man, its least stable yet at the same time its most powerful mutant, wears the crown and bears the scepter of Atlantis". At various other points in the book, Muck contradicts this assertion, and claims that the dominant race on Atlantis was that of the first nation people, or the redskins as he calls them.
