Wow, where has this channel been hiding?! I've been looking all over TH-cam for food blogs from China that aren't exaggeratedly excited, annoying guys screaming into the camera. Very happy to have finally found a chill person to show me these exotic foods!
Guangzhou has changed a lot in the last two decades. Most of the locals immigrated because I remember 20 years ago, I rarely ever heard anyone speaking mandarin in Guangzhou. Nowadays, most people are speaking mandarin (not locals btw) but they can understand cantonese since they are living and working in gz. I’m glad food is still preserved well lol.

Cantonese food is one of the more palatable Chinese cuisines in my opinion. Others are good too but Cantonese ones to me, are less oily, and a bit more varied. To each his own. :-)
Luke，actually you can find the best restaurant of guangzhou in ZhuJiang New town（near by the canton tower）.But any way,the best street food in guangzhou is located in the old town.

I recommend u a restaurant，called Fu Lin restaurant（富临食府），the most amazing BBQ pork feet with wasabi sauce (脆皮猪手)in GZ,very tender inside,very crispy outside tasted super smocky.Scalded beef(白灼牛肉),cheese noodles(芝士伊面),BBQ chicken(脆皮烧鸡)are also very nice too. This restaurant is too popular,so u might have to get the seat before 17:30.
Two types of won tons: Pan Fried & Soup. Two types of Soups: Won Tons Noodles Soup & Blacken Silk Chicken Herbal Soup In Coconut Shell. Two Types of Chicken: Blacken Silk Chicken & White Cut Chicken-two types of sauces: Yellow Mustard & Lite Soy Sauce With Green Onions.
so what happens to the coconut flesh cos dont see any of those parts been eaten? and hope its not reuse again with the same coconut flesh serve to the next customer?

Tekhelet75 if you like canton food you should also check out huaiyang cuisine. (Like shanghainese food). It is also lighter and sometimes a bit sweet
Hunhun 11 Shanghainese food is not Huaiyang at all, two different cuisines although geographically they are close.
