  • This is my build of California Screamin at Disney’s California Adventure. Some of the elements have been modified for space or momentum shortages, so it’s not exact.
    -I used WD-40 to lubricate the wheels.
    -The trains and track come from multiple Screamin’ Serpent sets
    -Construction took around 8 weeks.
    -Filming took... how long?? 4 Weeks?! Dang i usually shoot these in two days, I’ve just been busy and really specific with this one.
    -The lift is powered by a Black&Decker screwdriver, and the station and launch system are controlled by a lego EV3 program.
    -I record my videos using a standard IC-360 Camera Droid supplied by the galactic empire.
    -Blacklight Flashlight in the dark makes the glow in the dark bits vivid
    -POV recorded with an SQ11 Mini DV camera and a micro SD card. It didn’t come out exactly how I wanted so I didn’t include it in the video, but here’s what it looked like if you were curious!
    • California Screamin - POV
    -I will answer any relevant questions in the comments!
    Thank you for reading the description. If you read this, comment $1 and I’ll give you chocolate!
    I edit with iMovie and Kapwing. Send help.

    Hi everyone, thanks for watching the video! If you were curious about the POV, here it is: th-cam.com/video/-7czZoiD-R8/w-d-xo.html I didn’t include it directly in the video since the camera quality seemed out of place in comparison to the rest of the video, but here it is anyway!

    This has got to be your best recreation yet. The layout looks so similar, and the trains keep their speed very well. Great job 👍

    Amazing coaster! I can't even understand how you did this🤯🤯🤯 Also, do you have any tips on starting a K'nex roller coaster channel? I just started one.

    • @DryEyeBuilds
      @DryEyeBuilds  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much! I checked out your I305 recreation, it’s superb!!
      For tips in starting a new channel, my biggest one would be build at your own pace; it will be most fun if you don’t feel committed to an upload schedule, and fell free to take breaks. This coaster took me a long time to put on youtube just because I had other stuff going on, but I built and filmed it whenever i felt like it!
      Another big tip is build something you think would be the most fun to build, rather than what’s most “popular or relevant”. I built california screamin because the coaster is super special to me, and I had a lot of fun with it!
      So I guess the big tip is remembering that you’re doing your channel for YOU more than anybody else. Do whatever makes you happiest!
      Good luck with your channel!!

    • @DryEyeBuilds

    • @DryEyeBuilds
      @DryEyeBuilds  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Do you know whether you want to get into the Screamin Serpent track, or the new micro track? The new micro track is easier to find and better for new builders, this SS track is a little more hard to find and complex to build with, but allows for larger scale, more realistic coasters.

      Yes! This is my second cable-launch coaster, fist being Velocicoaster. Before that though, I have used the Rippin Rocket launchers to build simpler launched coasters.
