I just found this channel a couple of days ago and watched dozens of videos so far. It’s not healthy how much I’ve binged but I had to absorb the content. One of the biggest messages I received from listening is to be grateful for everything. Absolutely everything. Jail/Prison is not the spot at all. The person you must become to survive in the environment is not ideal. I appreciate you sharing, Larry.
Tbh you are such an inspiration for me to be a better person. You completely turned your life around and it's amazing. You went from being one of the biggest jewel thieves to someone who helps the law and prevents robberies and entertain people with your stories. You honestly amazing.
Hey man I just want to say I’m behind you and everything you’re saying. Criminal (in)justice absolutely needs reforming and I’ll walk in any protest for that.
It would be dope af to be able to do the jewel store heist and be able to use flex cuffs and pillowcases to steal the jewels and play it out exactly how he did it
I just binged every single episode and the way you’ve progressed at story telling is amazing. Your experience is the most interesting thing I’ve ever watched on this platform. I wish you the best and please keep this up, these stories have opened my eyes so much. I’ll be buying your book for sure.
I wouldn't last a day in prison. I'm stressed out just listening to this and its my day off. I would be nervous giving out any information at all about Mafia members.
This is all common knowledge and youll make it through unless you're a snitch. Dont snitch, don't owe people, and most importantly keep outta others business
@@protipskiptoendofvideoandr286 Literally the three golden rules of doing time right there. I think a lot of people underestimate the debt and staying out of peoples business part though. Not snitching is common knowledge among the whole population of the world damn near, but not going into debt and staying out of others business? Not so much. I don't know how many good dudes I saw get removed from the yard because they spiraled into debt or got in too deep with certain people and have to put in work. The last one got me unfortunately. My job was to help lead the PFT classes throughout the week for others heading to Fire Camp (California State Prison thing) and get ready for Fire Fighter Training. I had great cardio, was young, and I wasn't a hot head, so I gained a lot of respect helping a lot of people of all races get into better shape and ready to pass the actual PFT & FFT courses for camp. This got me close with all the key holders on the yard. They appreciated my hustle of working out and getting along with everyone, specifically the white reps (my reps, I am white) were happy I was making the whites look good by constantly training and showing healthy discipline. Unfortunately, this ended up getting me way to involved with yard politics... I was young and smart and in-shape, a prime candidate to put in actual work. So I get close to paroling and word gets out I don't have my "stripes" yet. Well sure enough three of the head white boys come up to the honor dorm I am in and tell me I need to handle some business on yard tomorrow even though I had 87 days till I parole. For context it takes up to 6 months to a year for a 115 to even be CONSIDERED to be dropped of your jacket. Which meant I would not go home as planned. It also would have affected my third-time (California - reduction of time to serve cause of over crowding). It most likely would have instantly put me back up to my half time date, PLUS the time removed for the actual infraction. Simply put, I was going home for at least another year, and that's IF we end up not hurting the guy. It's very easy to get an SBI or GBI charge for doing a removal, which is an entirely new charge in itself. Gonna need an attorney, and gonna be going to court and almost certainly getting time added consecutively, PLUS they will max you out on your original term. I had a 4 year term but paroled 18 months in thanks to third-time and other state mandates protecting non-violent criminals for doing too much time. It is very likely I would have had to do the remainder of those 4 years and THEN serve whatever charge I got waiting after which is almost certainly gonna be a Violent Felony strike which means NO HALF-TIME, NO THIRD-TIME. You do AT LEAST 80% before you are CONSIDERED an opportunity to parole. So yea... I fucking rolled it up the morning I was supposed to help get this dude pretending to be American Indian. I did NOT snitch. What got me off the yard and into non-disciplinary segregation was telling the cops who I was supposed to attack. Obviously, they thought I was gonna give them names of others involved but I respectfully declined. Not my mentality. I only wanted to make sure the guy was safe and my ass was heading home. The Sargeant didn't exactly like me on this yard because I was so young but he told the dude I was supposed to remove that he should thank me, because it was gonna be bad for him... The dude's face was already smashed in and fractured from the previous yard he got removed from just a few weeks prior. He hadn't even HEALED YET! The Sargeant told me flat out if I had laid a finger on this guy he would've charged me at least a GBI and that I wouldn't be going home for a VERY long time, he would've personally made sure of it he said. He thanked me for doing the right thing and wished me luck at committee in Ad-Seg. Said he would be recommending non-disciplinary segregation (this is a good thing), and he did.
Stop Snitchin ‘ Not cool bruh. Gotta hold your mud. Would you rather RUIN your entire career, and have that GP badge of honor gone from your name versus a couple more measly years? EPIC FAIL !!!!

Larry Lawton what about the other guy you mentioned in one of your other videos? The lieutenant behind the beatings in Atlanta, i tried looking up Cartret or Kartreck, I don’t know how is name is spelled
Some of this material applied to me last year when I spent a month in minimum security. It began with five days of solitary confinement. Very important to get along with one's fellow inmates. I saw a meltdown or two and guards intervened aggressively. The difference is that when I was there it was inappropriate to ask why people were locked up; that was private. So I didn't.
Hey Larry I’m going in for knee surgery tomorrow, and your videos are keeping me In great spirits. Putting my life in perspective 😂 at least I’m not in federal lockup. Anyways keep up the great content and the amazing work you do.

Larry you're the absolute realist storyteller ive seen on youtube. Thank you for sharing
I could definitely sit down and just listen to this man for hours. Never been locked up myself, but im not clean either. Thankfully, I got my head put right early enough before I developed a rapsheet.
sometimes a little intervention goes a long way
I just found this channel a couple of days ago and watched dozens of videos so far.
The way he says, "I actually survived it.." at the end gave me chills. Like he can't believe he did. Wow.
God is good
Found your channel a few weeks ago and man I can not stop watching! Youve had a helluva life Larry . Glad to see youre doing well.
Your frankness and ability to tell a story without embellishing is refreshing.
I swear to god Larry is my favorite story teller and i listen to him everyday. Almost therapeutic.
I first learned of Larry from a TV interview like 6 years ago; I'll never forget it.
Every time I do a diamond casino heist in gta v I think of Larry 😂
Whenever I do A Jewelery Store or One of the Diamond Heists in Payday 2 Im gonna think of Larry now.
Same lmao
Yeah when I did the jewel store robbery in gta story mode I thought of this.
It would be dope af to be able to do the jewel store heist and be able to use flex cuffs and pillowcases to steal the jewels and play it out exactly how he did it
Shotzy US that’s definitely something they have to add💯
Unreal. Thank you for these stories, Mr. Lawton. I’m very happy you got through this craziness.
I like to think that his cell mate just listened to his stories all day
I just binged every single episode and the way you’ve progressed at story telling is amazing.

Stop Snitchin ‘
Not cool bruh.
Gotta hold your mud. Would you rather RUIN your entire career, and have that GP badge of honor gone from your name versus a couple more measly years?
EPIC FAIL !!!!
@@madezra64 Thank you for sharing your story. I'm guessing stripes are something you have to do for the gang? Doesn't sound like your gang likes you very much, making you do something knowing it will keep you in prison. I couldn't deal with gang politics and people telling me what I have to do. Sounds like you were cornered, but played your move to perfection.
I was in the Navy for 10 years. Every deployment when we had ONREP the boxes of food always said for prison and military use only lol
Shit real smh thats a shame
Larry is the real deal.
Just Some Guy without a Mustache wot da faq got to sleep
"He didn't hurt anybody, he stabed a couple people but they were alright"
Lol
you are an innocent boy
Copy
Larry, I have a lot of respect for you... to go through what you went through and then to be able to share boots on the ground experiences...nothing you saw or did was easy and to be able to shake it all off and bring that to the common every day person is remarkable...high five
The real title of this episode should be "Larry unpacks his suitcase".
💀💀💀💀💀
This is totally fascinating. I cannot get enough. I like this guy a lot. Beautiful soul you can tell.
"He didnt hurt anybody, he stabbed a couple people."
Insight into a prisoner's mindset, for sure. haha
Evron grant copy
Larry, my man! No wonder you're blowing up, you're one of my favorite storytellers out there. Congrats on 47k+ in just a couple of days (although, I know you're used to dealing with MUCH higher numbers 💸)
LOL I am having fun and I like connecting with people. Thanks for watching. I am shooting for 1 million subs.
Being English I'd never heard of this guy but the way he tells his stories is amazing and gripping!
i’m loving the stories, 30 minutes flies by because they are so entertaining! keep up the great work!
Thanks
Got to love how many times he mentions his "Boots"... Man this dude is amazing
Larry, you are a fantastic natural storyteller with a really distinctive voice, thank you for the fascinating content. I feel a little guilty and voyeuristic enjoying your videos.
Its so wierd my attention span is so short and yet i have watched like hours of this channel its great
Although i’ve never met this guy, i’m proud of him for admitting everything that he did and that he went into a good life after being in prison.
Dude you’re an inspiration I love listening and watching your videos I am an addict I haven’t been active in addiction in a long time but jail time came with the life and when and if I have any struggles I literally listen to you and remember all my experiences and then I remember all the bad shit and then I say to myself “yeah my life is better today sober” love your channel
Just playing prison architect and I remember Larry so I check his channel and saw this posted made my day by hearing his stories
May I ask why there’s a microphone facing a map in the background?
to hear what the world is saying
The map does the talkin
It's a verbal world out there
@@jaymason2230 yeah Larry's just lip syncing
@@windowsxseven I was literally going to leave the exact same smart ass reply, was thinking this verbatim, as I was clicking reply. Nice job guy.
Hey Larry, I really enjoy watching your shows as they are very informative and factual. You bring to us the unedited and down to earth realities of prison life. I have learned many interesting facts after viewing your videos. Larry, the people of this country need to know what is really happening inside our prisons as it will eventually affect them when the person is released. Take care bro and thank you very much for all your hard work. Jimmy.
Larry I'm loving the channel! Hope all the best for you in 2020!
Thanks Matt
Must be tough, man. Toothbrush is being part of the “in” group
Lol
Drop the knives... they’re taped to his hands 😂 great stories Larry
Man you are a good orator, you made sit through the whole thing. Keep up the good work.
I'm honestly so intrigued by your story, it's so damn interesting, I'm glad your living is legit and your life is safer now. You probably won't read but all the best.
I did read your comment and thanks. I read them all, or as many as possible. Thanks for being a fan.
"you could touch his feet.. if you want."
They need to make a movie ab this
I would love to do that.
You tell a hell of a story, Larry. Looking forward to all your future videos.
Thank you Larry, gonna buy the book! And I’m glad you got your life back and are trying to help people stay out of trouble!
Is it weird that I need to watch this before bed every night or I can't sleep comfortably
Isn’t it crazy? He’s talking about some vile shit but in the most comforting way
Bacon on Toast fn a bed time story
Not weird. I do also, just not every night.
I was waiting for you to poste, you are the only person who's TH-cam videos I look forward to.
@Traci Dave lmfaooo yeah you fuck with vixen they are pretty good
Larry, I know people make mistakes in life, I know I have, but you’re a genuine guy and I really like how you give the gods honest truth with zero bullshit. Much love brother
I looked up that Warden Willie Scott... sued by cons so many times.
James Pawson I could only imagine. What an asshole. I’ll never forget. Lol. Him I won’t.
Larry Lawton what about the other guy you mentioned in one of your other videos? The lieutenant behind the beatings in Atlanta, i tried looking up Cartret or Kartreck, I don’t know how is name is spelled
Once you got arrested, did u feel u were going tostop being a criminal right away or did it take some time in jail for u to change ur mind ?
Good question
You are a frickin great story teller! I listen to you for hours and I don’t get tired 🙌🏻
I feel theirs alot of people that been trough this kind of stories but the way you simplify it and explain it in a way that people that don't really know street talk like me can understand is really entertaining and I respect what you are trying to do
I can listen to a man tell a prison story for 30min but can’t watch any on netflix
Same
Yeah, Do you wanna know why it is? Because nowadays we are craving human connection, the world is instantly connected from side to side, but we are the most alone and alienated generations in history

I wanna hear about the mattress sucked down the toilet story :)
Is that a sex thing
