One Idea ESO Should Steal From Runescape

- Hey gang, sorry for the delay but your boy is back. As someone who played a lot of MMOs in the past, there's a lot of good ideas that should be shared and implemented into other MMOs, so I thought I'd make a series about this sort of thing for ESO, starting with my first MMO, Old School Runescape. That would add a little spice to running the older content again! I personally have never played RuneScape but have thought about it many of times. One day when I get more time I will definitely have to give it a shot

Okay here me out, we as ESO players could really pick up on some of the wacky ass challenges OSRS players set for themselves. Why not try a Zone locked character that has to progress Zone by zone, maybe on a wheel or random choice basis. Maybe A character that can't fast travel or something like Runescapes Ironman where you can't trade with other players at all or use transmutes. TBH I don't think ZOS could do a leagues type thing even if they wanted too because the ESO servers are so ancient and the engine isn't the greatest.
Lol definitely hear you on that one, I've been trying to think of a fun character challenge like that to do for more running content but I cant seem to settle on a good enough idea.
Don't think that idea would be for me, but I can certainly see the potential of something like that.
Def not for everyone, but to be fair I didnt think I would like it either until it came out.

Rs3 is my other mmo. Almost maxed an ironman and its great.
Edit #1: trailblazer league was cracked and i wish it was just a seasonal game mode or a permanent game mode with an npc to reset your acc so you can do any route you want.
Edit #2: I would play the crap out of an eso leagues. Limitations make games fun. They give you something satisfying to push against
Dont quote me on this, I'm not on the up and up when it comes to RS news, but I believe I remember them saying they want to have a cycle of the older leagues going at some point in the future.

Im now trying to do all tedious daily quests to get the achievement , and vet vateshran hollow. If i get burned out i go play ac blackflag what was 11 euro on steam

Okay I now understand what this is about lol. I don't like the idea of leagues or any limited time modes/leaderboards/rewards (I play mmos for the permanent progression where all progression stays and is never taken away) Lol still good points and I agree with some. Buuuuut leagues sounds very anxiety inducing for people like me who are already overwhelmed with how much content there is to do and how little I have done. A competitive new mode with new characters and temporary progression seems like it would drive casuals away, even if completely optional, in my honest opinion. Maybe if it was worked into a permanent system, but we already have endeavors and achievements so idk. Seasons or leagues work well in Diablo type games and that's where they should stay imo, even then I am not fond of them
