This was the demo I was waiting for. Illustrating the textural scope of this unique library more than the official offerings. Thank you!

I wish I could effortlessly pick beautiful chords like you do. Hopefully will get there as I keep practicing piano.

It has been 8 months since this video "influenced" me to buy Polaris (Thank You!), and now today I return to it again for a refresh into the depths Polaris has to offer that I had overlooked! These videos are SUCH a great resource! 🙂

I love your reviews! You really put effort in showing every little detail of the VSTs so that we can take a real good look at them before buying them. And the INDEX is so useful. 😃 I only have a recommendation: sometimes I think the volume of your voice is way above the volume of the actual VST, and I find myself suddenly lowering the volume when you start to speak. Other than that, great reviews!

Thanks, JJ, I am so glad you are enjoying the channel. One of my biggest challenges is gain staging for the livestreams. I am working on creating a better experience overall, so keep watching, I appreciate the feedback and support. Joyfully!🎹

Simeon - thank you for your insights into Polaris. Regarding sweeping glissandi 'Long Convergent Drops' have been suggested but there is nowhere that demonstrates this patch. Would you consider a future video demonstrating this and maybe other string libraries you might be aware of that can achieve this kind of sound? So far I have only found orchestral tools. You're keyboard skills are amazing by the way!

I will do my best. There are a couple of Long Drops in the strings, I think I might have played that one.
Stay tuned and hopefully I can find a way to help in that area. Thanks so much for watching and supporting the channel. Joyfully!🎹

Hahaha Simeon dear friend...it's Chewbacca, nicknamed "Chewie." Not suewee lol. That would be the female version hahaha.
Also, let's face it. The synths and keyboards in the past were absolutely ground breaking and barely needed any EQ or other effects. So many synths like the Roland D50, Yamaha, DX7, GX-3P, jupiter-8, Mirage sampler, and so on were ready to go right out of the box. Today, we spend more darn time VST'ing the crap out of every single sound just to get it to sound the way we want. It seriously has become out of hand. It's musical insanity rather than musical greatness. This is not in reference to the libraries that are truly outstanding and inspirational however. The POLARIS string section is awesome as per usual from Spitfire.
I remember recording with the older keyboards and it wouldn't take long before you had a musical piece that was ready to transfer to a half track---the days of two channel reel-to-reels. I had a 4 track r2r and had to bounce tracks in order to add more. Later they came out with the 8, the 16, the 24, and the 48, etc.
You may enjoy demoing the BT Phobos library also at Spitfire.

DJ, not at this time. I would be interested in taking a crack at it in the future. Maybe drop Spitfire a not and mention you would like to see if covered on the channel. 🤓
Thanks for the kind support. Joyfully!

@@PraiseTracks Yes dear friend and I’m watching many other reviews of you.

  • @gordonmurphy4321

Two things: 1) Are there user presets one can create (to save) and 2) Can you elaborate a bit more on the automation capabilities (with examples or use cases). That would be very helpful to me but no worries if you can’t get to that. Thanks!

    • @PraiseTracks
      @PraiseTracks  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      1) Yes, you can call up a preset and tinker to your heart’s desire, then save it as a user patch. In the browser there is a filter where you can display only user patches. You can also “star” your favorites to call them up easier.
      2) Did someone say automation, yes please. The Spitfire player exposes so many, if not all of its parameters to your DAW. You can create automation envelopes in your tracks to control your selected parameter. It opens up a lot of creative possibilities. You can also map parameters to MIDI CCs for real time control which can also be recorded in your MIDI track.
I hope that helps. I will see if I can make a short video on how that works.
      Joyfully! 🎹

@@PraiseTracks Thank you! A short video on automation with Polaris would be fantastic but only if you have time. I’m definitely buying the library and it’s because of your videos, so if you have an email at Spitfire you could DM me, I’ll be glad to make sure they know. Thanks again!
