So one slap, and he’s the worst person in America, huh? Ned’s not touching kids, raping women, polluting water, or being a bigot. You hypocrites need to reevaluate life.
Yeah it's truly amazing he's ruined his reputation and legacy by acting out over such a small joke. He refused to handle his martial issues like a man and decided to use take it out on a comedian. I think if he didn't say "keep my wife's name out of your mouth" it would not had been half as bad. But most people immediately thought "but she had August's dick in her mouth before. So take a joke"
Chris Rock was the one who took the slap and kept the Oscars moving while keeping his composure. Will was the one who completely lost it. One must always handle oneself with dignity and grace and that's what Chris did.
Agreed!!! A really funny special. He took it like a champ and the Smith family brought everything upon themselves in exposing their dirty laundries in front of the whole world.
I'd love to see Chris' notebooks from over the year since the slap. All those months refining and distilling his anger into a perfectly worded KO. I'll bet there's some wild stuff he furiously scribbled down at 2am
The "don't fight in front of white people" line is a real thing. As a black person, I grew up hearing that. It just means if people outside of your culture see you fighting with your own, how much respect are they gonna give you and how will you and other black people be perceived. Prideful black people do not like perpetuating the negative stigma.
Fox News would have loved it. Would have used it for any narrative saying we’re violent people, the reason police shoot first , how we’re intimidating people, you name it. It was not the place or setting, Chris used class and tact.
While everyone gave their 2 cents on the Chris/Will drama, Chris waited a year to speak. Once he got a 20 million offer, he spoke his peace & now went back to minding his business. Job well done! 👏🏻 𝙇𝙖𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙚 𝘾𝙤𝙭 joked at the SAG Awards about Jada's "𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙖𝙣𝙜𝙡𝙚𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩" & both Will & Jada laughed. Will didn't go on stage & slap Laverne. 🤔 Chris made a valid point, they both have 𝙎𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙊𝙪𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙜𝙚. Smh... 🤦🏻♀ Love your reactions. You both are adorable!! 🤗
He called him Suge Smith referring to Suge Knight, the former Rap producer who is in jail now. He was infamous for being a violent former Blood gang member from Los Angeles who strong armed rappers into signing with Death Row Records. Dr. Dre, Snoop Dog and Tupac were once on his label.
You guy's are so awesome.... you are not the one's that practice racism, you are actively fighting against racism..... love you, love your ways..... you could make millions doing racist things..... but you choose to take millions of loses doing the right thing.... equality......THANK YOU.... AND I AS A BLACK PERSON LOVE YOU 2.... AND YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL
Will Smith F'd up twice. First, he hit Chris Rock (on TV, at *_the_* event celebrating his industry). Second, he F'd up by *_not_* handing his Oscar back, and showing some contrition. Instead he clung to it. He 'ignored' _the_ meaningful proof that he understood and regretted it. ****! Best Wishes, Folks. ☮
Will really played himself! But to do it to a comedian?!! A great one at that! He didn't have to hit him back! Chris walking that dog while he is on every stage he performs on!!🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
One other thing, because the slap was a sneak attack, Will scurried back to his seat. By that time, Chris was still trying to collect his thoughts. He couldn't just dive off the stage, might break a rib.
@@bradlucy I was born in Ontario, I came to Alberta to and kinda got stuck here when the pandemic happened. But eventually I'll be heading back with my son.
I don't think it was money, I think it was Jada's ego and to get her show eyeballs. ALL at the expense of her husband's reputation, that's why Will putting up with it Iis so pitiful
Good job Chris will and his entanglement deserved that and much more. They truly feel like they're the victims. His stupid behind slapped Chris so he slapped back with their own words
Will Smith throws stones at Chris Rock. Chris Rock being raised by good parents was told not to fight He seemingly followed the Christian principle to throw back bread. However, the bread was baked hard like a solid rock that he is.
1 of the greatest things that has happened to this Canadian family is them discovering black comedy, all they need is some spicy Indian food to help with the cold weather and mental health. Fyi ppl Indian food has spices that regulates the hormones which do affect mental health. Include it in your diet. No i am not Indian.
I loved your video opening showing Will give his acceptance speech completely wiped out by the quick clips from earlier in the show. What a hypocrite! Chris dealt with this in the best way a great comedian can. He roasted Will and got paid $20 million dollars to do it!
I know that some people were mad at the "Emancipation" joke. They are reading too deep into it! Chris Rock is an intelligent man and I'm sure he knows how bad Slavery was. We all know slavery was bad and the beatings were horrific! The joke was literally focused on Will getting beat up and whipped, since he assaulted Chris! It wasn't a direct disrespect towards the slave character, Peter who people are assuming he was making fun of.
He chose the right way to handle that. Used his talent. Those Red Table things r hideous & the poor kids maybe messed up by it. I still love Will Smith's films.
The mark of a tyrant is when they use violence to silence the jester. Will commited one of the few true sins of the entertainment industry. He laid his hands on a comedian.
Chris has come out of this with dignity. Will Smith has shown himself to be a self indulgent attention seeker. I can't even watch anything with Will Smith in any more as it just reminds me of that cringe worthy moment.
Will Smith you are an "ACTOR" but what you did on Oscar stage and hit Chris Rock is not something a lot of people and millions around the world "WILL NOT FORGIVE? No way is this going away. Learned from your mistake and stop making things worse.
Don't look in the mirror too much Brad or you will burn up, being so hot, being challenged in the hair department. Revenge is best served cold, I believe is the quote.
That speech he made in hindsight was bs.. he just assaulted a man. On top of that this was the 1st time the Oscar's was produced by a African American man Produced the Oscar's... which over shadow all of this which is greatly disappointing.. Chris was right ..
You've already aired your dirty laundry guys, you admitted your from Canada, on more than one occassion -lol serious note, chris rock was totally nude in Dogma, when he fell out the sky from heaven, you should add that movie to your list its very funny and written bigly goodly
I am so sick and tired of both of them Never liked Chris Rock and still don't And Will need to stop acting like a punk and just move on. Because if I slapped somebody on national TV And all he did was do a comedy bit about it a year later. I would feel like won.
He is such a girl. He physically assaults a man on a live televised global event then cries giving his speech. If it wasn’t for Chris he wouldn’t have been able to do that. It was Chris that let him stay at the event. The police were called and ready to arrest him. I can’t deal with Willow Sr. He needs to learn from Mr. Chris Rock on how to be a man. The Netflix special is hilarious!
Interesting thing I read on another reaction. Will told Chris at the Oscars to keep his wifes name out of his mouth. Chris didn't mention her name once. Not at all. The last part of this performance was the biggest slap to Will. Apparently Will had a bad upbringing. His father was very abusive to him and his mom. Brings some context to Will's "I had parents" comments.
Never liked Will Smith, never will. But... "You will never see me on Oprah, crying..." and he spent the 15 remaining minutes of the stand doing exactly that. Nobody saw? And the rest of the show is a looong list of easy jokes, about the same old black/white-poor/rich, stretched by repeating four times the introducction and four times the punch line. I´m rewatching all the Bill Burr videos to get my smile back.
My wife died of cancer in 2008. Before she died we were walking in the city centre and a couple of guys thought it would be funny to shout things about my wife's shaved head. I beat them so severely that I got arrested for assault, if I could go back in time, I'd do it again. Maybe I'm alone in this, but I have sympathy for will smith.
Perhaps, but Jada doesn't have cancer. And as far as I'm concerned, Chris didn't even know she had alopecia. She had a disease that is common (about 1/50 people, equally between both genders) and which people (mostly men) get made fun of for all the time. Will didn't have the stakes that you had in his fight. Additionally, his wife had violated his trust and humiliated him in front of millions (abuse) for about a year prior, so him sticking up for her is latching on to his own weakness. And finally, he laughed at the joke, meaning that the slap probably came from the social pressure Jada's (someone who disliked Rock btw) reaction (and abuse) put on him. Will Smith is a sad deflated fragment of a man who needs to get his life and his career together before his kids end up like him or his abhorrent wife.
@Ian May it's not even about the medical condition in the first place. This man can choose to defend his late wife's honor from strangers (and apparently choose to equate his own situation to Will's), but the 3 people involved in this case are definitely not strangers to one another. The Smiths are certainly not strangers to Chris, what he's all about, and what he was all about that fateful day.
@@musical_lolu4811 I agree with what you've said in your comment, however I'm not entirely sure what you're alluding to or who you're siding with at the end there.
Will Smith getting everything he deserves. He threw an unnecessary slap, Now he gets to be a social punching bag for the rest of time.
Bitches render that, yup
Let's hope so.. that pos can still wipe his tears with millions of dollars though.

When someone stormed the stage and tried to attack Dave Chappelle, Chris Rock was next to him and he said: Was that Will Smith?!
Agreed!!! A really funny special. He took it like a champ and the Smith family brought everything upon themselves in exposing their dirty laundries in front of the whole world.
Perfect intro and example of Selective Outrage! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
