I recently discovered that I have 5 or 6 of those Littleton eagles. The plastic on them is brittle and has many cracks. I don't think the plastic holder adds any value or authenticity to the coins. They seem to stack pretty well, though. Thanks for sharing.
I use a rare earth magnet to test my silver… held at an angle the magnet slides slowly off the coin. I was screaming at your video you could have left it in the holder. Of course I always put the coin in a sleeve test with sliding magnet method!✌🏻❤️🇺🇸🥇🥈🙏🏻🌎
omg I have the same casing except it is 2006. I got it at spot price from a magazine directly from Littleton (typically notorious for overpriced coins) in hindsight I should have bought the full limit of 5. Also its ok to break it out of one of these and put it in a new holder or get it graded if you are feeling lucky. Still it is a collectors piece if you like Littleton or if they ever go out of business due to their high prices. The worst holders they had are the plastic cellophane which were much cheaper than this nicer holder.
Thanks for the content but “sealed” is Avery loose term in this case. I have a few of these. A razor knife will do a lot cleaner job. Happy 4th friendo!! P.S. Some of these have very nice rim toning!
Yeah I was unsure how the case was sealed until I cut it open... definitely learned a lot afterwards. You're right about the toning it's superb! HAPPY 4th! Just saw Fireworks with the family 💥
Why not use a Sigma Metalytics tester to test for conductivity of metal? The prices have gone down pretty good on those...just got one myself to test coins like this. Some of the fakes online are so good now that even the magnet and ping may not give you an honest reading.
The magnet is definitely not the best test... how much was the Sigma tester? To be honest I only buy from LCS to ensure they have checked the metals before it goes in my hands. Online is too risky for me.
@@TREASURE-STACKER a sigma metal lytics analyzer is roughly $899 down from $1500. Even LCS can sometimes get duped by counterfeits without a tester. I have seen this on a few occasions, especially with bars.
@@TREASURE-STACKER ... I am wondering if one were to have a Sigma, pinder, fancy magnets, and/or other authenticity tools ... Would there be an opportunity for a side hustle by offering assay services. At the very least, it might work in a SHTF scenario.
It depends if they bought it from them through their website or their own publications then, yes they paid more but if it was from an ad in a magazine to get new customers its possible that they paid spot price like I did and actually got a good deal.
@TREASURE-STACKER I was just amused by your attempt to open the box without damaging it ... ya know since you were trying to open it without it being obviously. The giant scissors were always going to damage the packaging. No one actually believes you're a scam artist. I was just saying you'd make a terrible one.
@@jeremybrowand5941 Gotcha! Not trying to damage the package was more of a in the moment thought I had. I planned on using scissors from the start for the thumbnail.
Big like 33! Excellent video and thank you so much for sharing!
Thanks for being a part of the Loyal Crew!
Razor blade or exacto might open the seals clean enough to pop a fake in there and then just reseal the same spots with heat

I do like that they stack on top of each other! I had to check one just to be sure even though I got it from my LCS.

I've seen people with fakes that passed those tests. I think an old video on Silver Dragons channel.
We just got a pinger
It's fun to ping THY TREASURE!

I got these from one of my LCS and paid $5 over spot, which is the same as any ASE. Interesting info there and Thanks for Sharing!
i prefer using the wood whacker on the pinger ;)

@@robroszk Yeah My LCS has many testers laying around. $900 is still too much at the moment... Thats more than a tube of EAGLES!

A hobby or scalpel knife would've cut the seal without damaging or bending the plastic. Scissors are too thick and dull to slice through the seal
True... I'm starting to feel like everyone has surgeon hands but me now 😆 trying to open it without damaging was more of a in the moment thought.
I have the exact same blister pack, same year too. I busted it out like 6 moths ago just for the fun of it.
It was pretty fun! 👍 No LIE!
Great video!
Thanks, Happy 4th!!
maybe using an iron to melt the glue?
You could have taken a hammer to that plastic casing and get the job done faster, but nnnooooooo. Anywho, Littleton is a scam. Good job.
If I had a Hammer in the Thumbnail, I'm sure people would assume I'm going to smash my Silver! 😅
@@TREASURE-STACKER now that would have got the attention you needed. The content was good. It really was.
Never heart of a Stanley knive?
I thought Scissors looked more dramatic for the Thumbnail 😅
Coming from Littleton you know someone paid a lot more for it than it was worth.
