Whenever I feel sad or down or alone or depressed I watch something Aussie and I feel Happier 😂😊 love being Aussie and wouldn’t change that for anything
To be honest when I have a shit day I do something extremely Australian and I feel better throw on housos have a Tooheys old watch a bit of Paul Hogan and listen to Aussie music and drive my Aussie cars
It’s not until you visit the rock do you understand the feeling the spirit and how sacred this place is to our ancestors and so well portrayed by this song.
God I love this music, I’m 37 but I grew up travelling with my parents, all we ever listened to in the car was John Williamson, now I enjoy family bon fire nights listening to my uncle play all the hits. So glad I grew up with this music.
Same born in the nt and mum and dad took me too one of the concerts he was featured in back in the early 2000s I was really young but still remember it and since then I have been around Australia and I appreciate this song alot more
One of my favourite songs, what lovely footage of the outback. I visited Alice Springs, Kings Canyon and Uluru last year for the first time. I will be going back. Being there in person really gives you perspective of us being so small and mother nature so much greater than we.
beautiful message and a great work from John of course I close my eyes and I am AU best post card I can send is loving your music John and always will . Blessings
Have always loved this song, especially the live version with Warren Williams. John, you have captured the ancestral spirit of Australia with this song.
This is a fantastic music video clip. As a person who deeply thought about leaving Australia to move over seas I started to listen to your songs again and I now have no desire to leave this amazing country. Songs like this hit the heart of this Aussie desert land and send a powerful message to the people. Thanks John for everything you have done for Australian and your True Blue Fans 🇦🇺🦘🐊☀️
A beautiful song with the power to teach and heal. Amazing footage that gave me glimpse of the Dreaming and the ancestors, thank you John, the videographers and the Anangu people.
@@williamhargraves8813 I'd love to eventually visit Australia. I don't know how much of 'Straya I'll be able to see while visiting, but it's on my *"bucket list"* of places to visit.
2020 was a dreadful year for me and my family, as it was for many around the world. One of my losses was the cancellation of John’s Perth show. While it’s a smaller loss than so many of the losses covid caused me, it is still one I grieve. Thank you for this video John, to let me revisit your music in a different way.
Hey John, would it be possible to have Cootamundra Wattle on here and The Drovers Boy, or Salisbury St (the song you wrote about your brother and his house boat) I still remember when you told us that story on stage, very nice of you to share that and write a song for your brother.
@@thomascrompton1125 mate, I'd love to have been there. I bought the CD from jb hifi a few years ago, needless to say I love listening to the live album all the time. Just picked up the Christmas album last week, great time!
Problem with a lot of people is that they know absolutely nothing about the evolution and formation of the outback particularly the Olgas,Uluru, the Kimberleys & the North Australide Craton. What a pity! What a shame of not capturing on video the flowing, plunging torrents of the Rock & Olgas during the winter rainy months.:-(
Thank you Mr Williamson. For singing about our country. Aboriginal country is Australia 🖤💛❤️💯 🦘 best country of all.. we are your big fans.👍🏻👏🏻
I'm Irish and I love JW....🇦🇺🇦🇺🦘
Whenever I'm having a horrible day mentally, I throw on John Williamson and everything becomes okay.
Feel the same way!
You not wrong there

Beautiful song! Every time I listen, I start bawling like a baby. I don't know why, since I'm not from Australia, nor have I ever visited Australia.

Saw the live version in person.

Not sure why but this song sounds like Aussie version of country road John Denver
