You know, the one that added Marx Soul.
Squeak Squad actually did something to make the Sleep ability useful. If you snagged the Mastery Scroll for it, Kirby would slowly regain HP for the ability’s duration-making it an emergency/last-resort kind of heal.
*shivers* hearing about your horrible experience made me really grateful that I found a good dentist close to my house. If that happened to me, my mom would’ve sued her!
Hey Chugga, I was noticing you were having a problem with covering all of Kirby’s Copy Abilities to your standards. Why not cover them like a Pokémon bio. When you first encounter an ability, just cut to a bit on Level 1 - Stage 1 on another file giving an example of moves and notable features. The channelCMeegeCrafting does this for his Kirby challenge run videos (with more emphasis on features relevant to the challenge at hand) and I think it works really well.
Yeah same here. I never understood why people were afraid of the dentist. With Emile's story I've now learned that people who are afraid likely have had experience with bad dentists :/
Your story about the dentist reminds me of one time I went to the orthodontist when I was younger. Before the orthodontist came over, the assistant came over to check my teeth (as she should). All of a sudden she says, “Oh! This one looks loose!” and proceeds to rip out one of my baby teeth. Needless to say, I caused a racket when I started crying and ran over to the sink to get the blood out of my mouth. Thank goodness I didn’t get her again.
I just have to say this. Due to your username and icon, I'm inclined to think that Fluttershy is typing these comments. And that makes me love said comments--the kind-hearted, animal-loving pony is a fan of video games, and has a hidden snarky side to her! LOVE IT, FLUTTERSHY!
Chugga doesn't know/pretended not to know for a joke that fighting game player call that input "quarter-circle forward/backward" or 236/214 when it's in numpad notation
18:21 Not relating to teeth, and nothing as bad, but it reminded of something that happened to me yesterday. My sister was cutting my hair (because she wanted to) and she was finishing up, and she just randomly said "Oh it's fine. It'll grow back." I was rightfully concerned, and asked what happened, and she said, "I mean that the hair will grow back. Wait, did you think I hit something?" Don't know if I'll let her do that again with her choice of vocabulary.
It’s painful to know a dentist like that *still exists* and *still has a job* somewhere out in the world, possibly still gossiping, and saying “oh hang on I think you hit bone” and other stuff. Also, you can just feel what he’s been through.
A bad dentist story that I remember is that one day as a kid I went to the dentist with my mom to have my teeth looked at. When the dentist looked at my teeth, they noticed one of my teeth was growing inward. They were worried that it would grow in badly and decided to remove it. So they had someone hold me down, the dentist grabbed my bad tooth and pulled it out. I felt so much pain and couldn't take it any more, so I grabbed the dentist arm and pushed their hand away to get it to stop and my tooth came out. I hope to never go through anything like that ever again.
Interestingly, sleep DID have a use... in one game, and only after finding an item. In Squeak Squad, the sleep scroll upgrades the ability so sleeping acts as a minor health regeneration tool
That reminds me of the dentist that I had a kid. I was maybe 7 or 8 and I had to get a rotting tooth removed. This man was very old and grumpy, not giving me any warnings about what was going to happen and using the adult needles (or just some kind of larger needle) to give anesthetics to numb me instead of the usual smaller needles (which I knew he had because of further visits). For the next 2 years, I went to this man to get anything from a rotting tooth to a loose tooth removed, which as you can guess, messed up my teeth (I had to get 4 adult teeth removed and braces because a bunch of teeth were just jutting out of my gums). When I left his office, I would usually have bloody gums and a couple of baby teeth missing. I later found out that he had been taken to court for something regarding a very angry mother and had died a few years later.
Oh wow, never knew Kumazaki did such amazing paintings. What I do know, however, is that he voices Dedede in all modern Kirby games. And, as funny as Ted Lewis' Southern Dedede from the anime is, Kumazaki is doing my favourite version of the King, it fits him to a tee. Really wish we had that voice in Smash (as with Kenny James' Bowser or DK and Diddy, oh well). 09:58 The fully charged version of that move also has fire properties, so it's able to light fuses. In Star Allies, this can imbue a friend's weapon with the element as well. 11:52 I also feel that it's just very irresponsive when you do it like that. 13:00 It _does_ restore health in Squeak Squad. And then there's also Battle Royale, where it's gotten a full on moveset due to being requested by fans. It revolves around slapping people with pillows and putting them to sleep. I really like the idea of making sleep into a proper ability, but I can also get behind why they keep it as it is. Your Streetpass-Trading Card Game sound really nice. Would've loved to play something like it. 21:36 I miss Tornado. They did some cool stuff with it in Return to Dreamland (which also had Leaf). Seeing as Wind is an element in Star Allies, I was almost certain it would return in that game prior to its release. Well, we all know how that turned out.
Sleep heals you in squeak squad if you get the power up scroll. It was also used in a cool puzzle in kirby superstar, specifically the great cave offensive were there was copy ability pedestals with sleep and strong wind with treasure at the end of the room.
Sleep does have a good use in Squeak Squad. After you get the ability scroll, sleep will restore a little of your health. It's kind of handy to have, and I have NEVER heard anyone else bring it up before.
Reminds me of my old dentist. She at least knew what she was doing, but she ended up getting audited and was found guilty of some kind of insurance fraud or something.
When I was eight, I was terrified of all medical procedures. Like, *mortified.* On several occasions, the staff at my local pediatrics office actually thought I had developed heart issues from how badly my heart pounded when I was there for my check-up. Unfortunately, I went to a dentist (at the time my mom was upset since a similar thing happened to my brother that happened with you) different from my regular one who shared an office with my pediatrician, and it was terrible. They actually *mocked me for complaining about the pain.* They actually told me - an *EIGHT YEAR OLD BOY* at the time - that I was “perfectly fine” and that “it doesn’t hurt”. We never went back.
16:42 My dad had a dentist when he was a teenager that was close friends with an orthodontist. So, my dad would go to the dentist and they would send him to the orthodontist for the smallest of reasons. Then the orthodontist would find a very convoluted way to solve the issue. My grandparents ended up spending much more than they needed to, and the dentist and the orthodontist made bookoodles of money off of that business model. Stonks
Im sure millions have said it but... In kirby squeak squad, every ability gets an upgrade if you find a scroll for it. For sleep, after you get the scroll, the ability will heal you. So sleep isnt great, but once it was kinda useful!
While watching this I am working on a painting for art class. Unexpectedly I hear Emile talk about how Shinya Kumazaki is a painter. I don’t know why, but that just make me happy since it ties in so perfectly into what I am doing at the moment
It's almost amusing Emile's reaction to the dentist being terrible at her job was *sorrow*, when whenever I'm getting dental work done and they're causing unnecessary pain I don't hesitate to bite
Talking about Sleep, I'm pretty sure in Squeak Squad you'd slowly regen health whilst asleep. … Just looked it up, you have to obtain the Sleep ability scroll to get health regen. It also showed up as a DLC copy ability is Kirby Battle Royale, with a proper moveset to boost. Mostly hardcore pillow fighting, but you can also damage enemies with your snooze bubble, and put nearby enemies to sleep. You also regen health by not moving.
Dang, that was a really short stage at the start of the video, even with the need for a second visit to grab the second sun stone. Weird how the "autoscroller" level felt very short when in speedruns, it's often the longest part.
When I was a kid our school had it's own dentist but they were really bad and couldn't get the numbing right. They would give you the shot and get it wrong every time and then wait less than 1 min and start operating on you while you were half numb and in pain. It took me years to get over of the fear of dentists and that's all thanks to the clinic I went in that had this lovely russian lady who despite having bad grammar was so good in her job. Sadly because it was government funded and they did some cost cutting, they shut that clinic down and centralized all health care clinics into one location. I hope they hired and / or moved her in that location so she could keep her job.
8:07 Metal is interesting. It has only appeared there, but there is a similar Iron Kirby in the anime as one of the four abilities added in the Air-Ride-in-Style episodes that were suggested by fans. One of the other abilities that were submitted by fans? Water.
In Squeak Squad, if you get the ability scroll for Sleep, you recover health when using Sleep. There is also the game Kirby Battle Royale where Sleep has a full fighting moveset.
Its okay to vent. I have had family members who have also had exactly your experience and also had doctors who were dicks to them when in pain. Also, thank you for showing off the paintings, the look beautiful.

To go along with your Dental story. When I was younger my teeth were AWFUL! I even had one that was dead and decayed. I absolutely hate going to the dentist because of that time. Oh and this was before the widespread use of topical numbing agents. Like ever other month I had cavities and needed crowns because the fillings were to expensive and insurance didn't cover them like they do now. And the cherry on top was that it was/is and medical college so students who have not developed passion for young kids because they are still learning themselves.
17:35 Story time! Some time ago (last year I think?), I scheduled a dentist's appointment to get two cavities filled. So there I am in the waiting room, playing with the children's puzzles. Suddenly, someone calls my name. I get up and walk to the room I'm assigned. The assistant gives me the typical "So how's school?"/"Going on vacation?"/ blah blah blah. I answer, and she does the regular cleaning of my teeth before the actual dentist looks at them. She hits *both my cavities,* and naturally, I make a sound that's as close to an 'ow' as you can get with an open mouth. She doesn't respond. Finally she finishes torturing me, and the dentist comes in to fill the cavities. He walks in, asks me the same questions I was asked a few minutes ago. "So, let's get to filling those cavities," he says politely, "lay back in your chair." I comply. He jabs my mouth with a needle, no warnings, and injects. It hurts, but I've had shots before. Whatever. He pokes near my gums. "Can you feel this?" He asks. I nod. Repeat about 5 or 6 times. *Finally,* I can barely feel anything. I can still feel what he's doing, but it's like a light tickle and- OW OW OW it hurts. After a few minutes of operating, the numbness wears off and everything stings. He pulls the instruments out of my mouth, and I close it. My teeth feel... squishier? Wait, no. That's my.... hold on. He numbed my CHEEK, not my GUMS! I try to cover my bared teeth with my lips. No luck. Those are numb too. Sigh. I wasted all my time, and I have to make a new appointment. Still have to pay him, though.
A concept art for the original Team Kirby Clash suggests there *was* in fact an Archer class, but was scrapped during development alongside a Ninja class.

I tend to get drowsy at the dentist. Regular visit or not. Any intense (drilling) work requires extra effort to numb me (family trait), but otherwise I'm fine. My first root canal, I'm pretty sure I actually fell to sleep for a few minutes while watching Gladiator (movie) and he was drilling my tooth. Then he told me that he was about to drain the root... and I'm pretty sure this was intentional, but the world went white for me. I saw white... I heard white (basically, there was noise but it was nothing distinguishable... not even a 'static noise')... and I felt white (the cold, blood drained feeling). It was both an eternity and a split second... then I regained my senses and everything was fine. He filled it in and all was good. However... he retired and my new dentist (his replacement) has nicked another tooth while working, done another root canal (no pain at all), and pulled a tooth (the one he did the root canal for). Basically, my original dentist might have intentionally shown me pain because he didn't believe I brushed/flossed as often as I did back then... but his work was good. My current dentist is a 123shill that charges more than he is worth. Still, I find it more relaxing than most ASMR videos... Yes, I realize that makes me weird.
Man, hearing your story about your... interesting dentist makes me thankful that I've never had any major problems with the dentist. I'm especially thankful that I've already gotten all of my wisdom teeth removed so that I won't have to worry about that again
9:44 Funny thing is... Ryu's been in Smash for a few years now, and has had the quarter circle input for Hadoken the entire time, in addition to the half circle input for the stronger version. On top of that, Ryu-hat Kirby can use the same quarter circle and half circle inputs to do the same thing. 12:27 Oh yeah, that's right. *The cap in the opening is completely the wrong color!* It's neither the color of the cap he actually wears as Sleep Kirby, nor is it the color of the cap Noddy wears! For that reason, I do believe that is *not* Kirby eating a Noddy every day to get some sleep, just him having a similar cap he likes to wear when he sleeps!
13:45 archer is the only reason i was able to beat this and robobot's true arena. with the *invincible* crouch and damage output with charge shots it's easily the most broken ability in BOTH games.
15:35 I revisited StreetPass Plaza recently for the first time in many many years, and I thought the same exact thing! They already have Puzzle Swap, which has a similar concept, so why not do a trading card came? It seems like such an obvious idea!

My Mom had a dentist who wasn't paying attention and she almost choked cause they weren't using the suction. So after many attempts to show she was turning blue. She punched the dentist. She's had a fear since. This was back in the 80's.

That is the most nightmarish Drawcia ever!
I checked Wikipedia. He worked on Canvas Curse. And by that I mean, he designed the only part that everyone remembers. And by that I mean _he invented the Soul Boss!_
According to Wikipedia, he was specifically put in charge of the final boss. The first game he worked on as a Director was Super Star Ultra. You know, the one that added Marx Soul.
@@angeldude101 So in other words, he created the concept of an extra stage on the boss in True Arena/EX Battles ?
@@angeldude101 thats why he's my favourite kirby director
Chugga fun fact, sleep has a special use in squeak, once you get the scroll, you’ll be able to heal as sleep kirby

The channelCMeegeCrafting
does this for his Kirby challenge run videos (with more emphasis on features relevant to the challenge at hand) and I think it works really well.
Well, that story just made me never ever want to go to a dentist.
Don't worry, I've never heard of one that bad in my life
Just make sure you know who is working on your your mouth, or any medical professional
For the record, I've never had problems with my dentist, so I can confirm that it is not all dentists. #notalldentists
8:56 11:44 My god, I thought the "Smash Players can't do command inputs" thing was just a joke...
You didn't see the legion of Smash fans saying that Terry's inputs were overly complicated?

Not entirely easy on a small D-pad or a small Circle Pad compared to a fight stick or a proper control stick.
the only fighting game ive ever played is smash and terry is one of my best characters. am i the minority in this, or???
I just have to say this. Due to your username and icon, I'm inclined to think that Fluttershy is typing these comments.
And that makes me love said comments--the kind-hearted, animal-loving pony is a fan of video games, and has a hidden snarky side to her! LOVE IT, FLUTTERSHY!
Chugga doesn't know/pretended not to know for a joke that fighting game player call that input "quarter-circle forward/backward" or 236/214 when it's in numpad notation
18:21
Not relating to teeth, and nothing as bad, but it reminded of something that happened to me yesterday. My sister was cutting my hair (because she wanted to) and she was finishing up, and she just randomly said "Oh it's fine. It'll grow back." I was rightfully concerned, and asked what happened, and she said, "I mean that the hair will grow back. Wait, did you think I hit something?"
Don't know if I'll let her do that again with her choice of vocabulary.
That story made my teeth hurt. The ending was hilarious though
That dentist story sounded painful, and it was painful to listen too.
Why would be painful to hear that
It’s painful to know a dentist like that *still exists* and *still has a job* somewhere out in the world, possibly still gossiping, and saying “oh hang on I think you hit bone” and other stuff.
Also, you can just feel what he’s been through.
I love when Emile tells personal stories in videos. Not sure what it is, but hearing a bit about his life is really fun to me.
A bad dentist story that I remember is that one day as a kid I went to the dentist with my mom to have my teeth looked at.
When the dentist looked at my teeth, they noticed one of my teeth was growing inward. They were worried that it would grow
in badly and decided to remove it. So they had someone hold me down, the dentist grabbed my bad tooth and pulled it out. I felt so much pain
and couldn't take it any more, so I grabbed the dentist arm and pushed their hand away to get it to stop and my tooth came out.
I hope to never go through anything like that ever again.
Imagine weilding a drill made out of lava. That's pretty badass.
Also, 5-3 has great and somewhat obscure music.
Interestingly, sleep DID have a use... in one game, and only after finding an item. In Squeak Squad, the sleep scroll upgrades the ability so sleeping acts as a minor health regeneration tool
Just hearing that dental story... HOW AM I SO BLESSED WITH ACTUALLY GOOD DOCTORS SINCE I WAS BORN?!
Hey everyone, I hope you have a good day and let Emile make you happy in this dark time
Oh wow, never knew Kumazaki did such amazing paintings.
21:03 This could have been an outstanding perfectly cut scream.
Reminds me of my old dentist. She at least knew what she was doing, but she ended up getting audited and was found guilty of some kind of insurance fraud or something.
21:03 I shall call him Squishy and he shall be mine. And he shall be my little squishy.
Chugga's reaction to the Marx keychain was hilarious
(Late I know) yeah, but terrifying look too😖
Shinya Kumazaki's artwork is incredible, yet absolutely horrifying. This explains Kirby lore and Final bosses so much.
…
Just looked it up, you have to obtain the Sleep ability scroll to get health regen.
“Let’s give them a WARM welcome.” Was that an intentional pun at the end of the video because you’re in a magma land?
1:40 Kirby yells and time stops. Sounds familiar if you ask me
Those paintings are amazing...like, legit. No wonder Kirby has such good enemy designs.
8:07 Metal is interesting. It has only appeared there, but there is a similar Iron Kirby in the anime as one of the four abilities added in the Air-Ride-in-Style episodes that were suggested by fans. One of the other abilities that were submitted by fans?
Water.
kirby1781 water is so underrated. I'm surprised it hasn't appeared more in Kirby games
i'm watching this two years late, and this was by far the most terrifying thumbnail i saw in my notifications that day.

As someone who has played way too much Kirby. The screen nuke abilities aren't always placed purposefully. Sometimes they're just... there.
Sleep actually DID have a use in Kirby Squeak Squad; once you got the scroll for it, it would actually regenerate health while it was active!
In Squeak Squad, if you get the ability scroll for Sleep, you recover health when using Sleep. There is also the game Kirby Battle Royale where Sleep has a full fighting moveset.
Dentist: Oh, I hit bone.
Chugga: DONT TELL ME THAT
Me: I feel you man
Its okay to vent. I have had family members who have also had exactly your experience and also had doctors who were dicks to them when in pain. Also, thank you for showing off the paintings, the look beautiful.

You’re not the only one that heard that lol
Maybe... You *might* be wrong
Now I can never unhear it.
When describing what he wanted sleep to do, he just described jiggilypuff's rest 😂😂
Honestly, that streetpass game idea sounds like it could be a full game instead of just part of streetpass.
I’m happy that my dentists are so good where they can gossip and talk about their weekends and stuff while finishing my dental work
This video reminded me Archer was an ability! They should’ve brought it into Super Kirby Clash as a new role
A concept art for the original Team Kirby Clash suggests there *was* in fact an Archer class, but was scrapped during development alongside a Ninja class.
12:54 In Squeak Squad, Sleep restores health.
You need to find the ability scroll for it, but yeah! It restores about a quarter to a third of max health if I recall.

@@domobfdi5480 yep. I wish it would be added in the next Kirby game.

"I wish Sleep had more use..."
In Squeak Squad, you get upgrades to your Copy Abilities. Sleep's Upgrade allows it to heal you a certain amount before you wake back up.
7:52 okay, now the hellish bosses from Kirby make sense.
Man, hearing your story about your... interesting dentist makes me thankful that I've never had any major problems with the dentist. I'm especially thankful that I've already gotten all of my wisdom teeth removed so that I won't have to worry about that again
I HIT BONE?
THAT IS NOT SOMETHING A DENTIST SHOULD EVER SAY TO YOU.
Sleep Kirby does have a use...
It has a full move set in Kirby Battle Royale
When you do the quarter-circle, you might try holding B instead of just tapping it. Sometimes it helps.
13:45 archer is the only reason i was able to beat this and robobot's true arena. with the *invincible* crouch and damage output with charge shots it's easily the most broken ability in BOTH games.
In Squeak Squad there's an ability scroll for sleep that makes it heal Kirby
15:35 I revisited StreetPass Plaza recently for the first time in many many years, and I thought the same exact thing! They already have Puzzle Swap, which has a similar concept, so why not do a trading card came? It seems like such an obvious idea!
If you want to see sleep with a use check out either squeak squad or battle royal
