- The Gulfstream G650ER N700MK is seen arriving nonstop from Anchorage, U.S. state of Alaska, to Bern in Switzerland. The ultra-long-haul business jet completed this route in a flight time of 11 hours and 51 minutes.
The Gulfstream G650ER is a luxurious, long-range business jet manufactured by Gulfstream Aerospace. This high-performance Gulfstream G650ER (Extended Range) was first introduced in 2014, and since then has become one of the most popular and sought-after business jets in the world, with over 260 aircraft built to date.
The G650ER is powered by two Rolls-Royce BR725 engines, allowing it to reach a maximum speed of Mach 0.925, while also having an impressive long-range of 7,500 nautical miles, or 13,900 kilometers. This aircraft can also carry up to 18 passengers in its spacious cabin, and features a range of amenities including fully reclining seats, a full galley, and a number of luxuries such as a mini-bar, a full entertainment system, and a satellite phone.
The G650ER also features cutting-edge avionics, with features such as a Synthetic Vision System, Traffic Collision Avoidance System, and a Dual FMS Autopilot system. Additionally, the aircraft is equipped with the latest in-flight safety technology, including a lightning detection system, an emergency descent system, and an advanced cabin pressure control system.

I know next to nothing about aviation but am developing an interest, so can someone help me understand something: the Gulfstream website lists the takeoff distance of the G650ER as 1,920 meters, but Bern airport runway is 1,730 meters. Of course there's no way they'd land at an airport they wouldn't be able to take off from again, so what am I missing here?
The takeoff distance listed by Gulfstream on their website is the distance required at Maximum Weight. (Full fuel tanks)
It can take off in much less distance at lower weights. (Partial fuel load)
It can takeoff in less than 1200 meters but then doesn’t go as far.
