  • Tim Miller, class of 1980, has been volunteering at DeMatha for over 30 years, working the gate at athletic events and serving as a member of the DeMatha Senior Boosters. The Senior Boosters organization is made up of parents of alumni who have raised funds for the school since the 1960s by organizing various events for the DeMatha community. Tim became president in 2017, following the death of the legendary Vince Scalco.
Tim has numerous family ties to DeMatha. His late father, Chuck Miller, began volunteering at DeMatha in the early 1970s and continued serving the school until the early 1990s when health issues forced him to step aside. Tim’s three brothers are graduates -- Dr. Kevin, class of 1977, Carey, class of 1979, and Mark, class of 1981. Tim’s stepson, Ryan LaLumiere, is a member of the class of 1996, and his son, Stephen, graduated in 2018.
Tim retired after working for over 20 years for the U.S. Treasury Bureau of Engraving and Printing. Besides his work at DeMatha, Tim has been a volunteer for the Boy Scouts for well over two decades, serving as Scout Leader for seven years.
The Miller family has volunteered at DeMatha for over 50 years now, and we honor Tim and his family today for all they have done for DeMatha for such a long period of time.
