Yes Jisoo's voice is very unique and distinct, like 2 words with your eyes closed and you know its her. Her voice is smoky, sultry and so mature. Wait till you hear her sing in english, her voice gets extra smoky. Like in their cover of Sure thing by Miguel, her voice sound absolutely amazing on that track

I never imagined I’d be a fan of a girl group the way I am a blink. I get what you’re going through. I’m a female and I admire them for their talents, beauty, and pure awesomeness. I can tell you admire them for the same thing but you’re a male so you’re going to get giddy and act silly. It’s what they do to the guys. The more you watch the further you fall. You’ll have your bias and then your bias wrecker will creep in and get you all confused.
You’re not the first and certainly not the last going through this so it’s ok and enjoy.

Blackpink actually had 13 released songs when they performed at Coachella. They had just released their newest EP (Kill This Love) a week before their 1st Coachella performance. The intro to BP video you watched they had 9 songs at the time with 4 new ones released soon after that video came out.
*Jisoo* is your bias you need to watch the kdrama she is in called "Snowdrop" it's on Disney+.
- Western artists don't go through training and selected from many to be part of a group to debut.
Jisoo is my bias as well, not just for her voice - which I agree is unique - but because of their personality, which is also unique. K-pop is gaining in the West because they emphasize fan service (reality shows, lives, chats, etc.), but they went back to the heyday of MTV when music videos were a primary marketing tool and so they were amazing. K-pop figured out how to press all the right buttons, and it shows.

and one day, after you become deeper into BLACKPINK's discography as a whole thing i'd encourage you to watch these particular K-drama called "SNOWDROP". It's a series with 16 episodes in total (each episode like over 1 hour long), and in this drama you'll see a whole other side of Jisoo's actual skill eventhough technically she still remains as a rookie actress when it comes to K-drama industry..
For the storyline we won't spoil it too much for you but i'd say the whole plots were kinda intense and gonna make you having such a roller coaster emotions, and i think these drama will be 'worthy' enough to accompanying your cold weekend...

I think Jisoo's slightly lower octave ignites the mystery in us because it is reminiscent of the stereo-typical dragon lady voice we always heard in Hollywood. Something about it is exotic but authoritative at the same time.

Bro thank u for doing reactions, I used think it was weird or I was weird for watching ppls reaction but realized it's all about for me people's genuine authentic reaction to these four women that are amazingly talented it's not about the genre or the language barrier or anything like that they have a chemistry that nobody can match and that's why there's so many blackpink fans and if you ever think like they're just some pop band they're not they have amazing covers they sing live they may not write their music but a lot of those writers don't sing so it's a trade-off between the two and they just have something that nobody else can match there bond is really what solidifies and makes them different from everybody else. as for u thinking, that you're not breaking down the lyrics or you're not doing the video Justice don't worry about it man like I said most of us are here to watch your reaction to them. We all remember what it was like when we first watched and where we were or doing, just keep being u bro, ur doing great. With just 15 Music videos and 28-30 songs overall BLACKPINK girls are the most subscribed music artist on TH-cam. Isn't it amazing the amount of attention they get while making songs in a language which is spoken by less than 1% of people in the world .
I can understand why u smiled, pause and repeat whenever Jisoo appears. It's normal. I do too as she has that unique vocal and arguably the best visual (read: most beautiful lady) and personality of a kpop girl group member. U'll love her more, as well as the other members, as u watch more of their videos, interviews, variety shows etc. Btw, she acted in her 1st kdrama, as a lead actress no less, called Snowdrop. For a rookie actress having landed the lead female role, her acting is very good indeed.

Yes agree. Red Velvet is one of those kpop girl group that has that sophisticated feel to their music and songs. Red Velvet is an incredible group with incredible vocals. When u check out Red Velvet, it will be another rabbit hole. Check out their sub-unit comprising Irene and Seulgi, with their excellent MVs called Monster and Naughty. Be forewarned though - be prepared to be blown away. :)

I'll make it easy for you, this is how these 4 young ladies grabbed everyone. A lot of people say if it wasn't for BTS these would never have even made it. Well I disagree because I had no idea who BTS were. I have always known who G Dragon and by association his band BIG BANG were. I found these young ladies through my then 16 year old daughter on our countries first lockdown. I like the girls but I love LISA. Not taken anything from the others but she's my favourite. You can't explain to anyone why you like them so much you just do. It's that simple they make catchy tunes their very beautiful and they have worked bloody hard and sacrificed to get where they are. So I like BLACKPINK and that's it. The fact that this and Whistle were their debut songs shows you how special they were because they were MONSTER ROOKIES.
