emma mcgurk same, im self teaching myself. And whenever i tell people they always think i wont be able to do it. Even if i have small hands, ill learn techniques and improve.
Same my hands are unfortunately so small. It's makes learning new pieces very challenging
I recommend starting with the original piece. Even if ur new or self taught you should learn it pretty quickly as long as u practice 40 hours a day
Also do not make excuses about ur small hands. My hands only reach 7 keys and I played just fine

This actually a really well done upper beginner, low intermediate kind of arrangement. Allows us to start to feel the song, play something that sounds good, has some challenges, but also doesn't bore you to death lol. Great, great arrangement.

It's been almost a year now that I am learning piano and this song was one of the first that I start to learn (I learn the piano by myself without a prof). It took me a long time and I learn a lot with this music, I hope that one day I can do the true version.

@@herr_crustovsky Persevere and Adapt is key. particulary when you have no choice. Living in a Righted Handed world and only having a working Left arm has its challenges but Adapt as I said is Key. I almost have Clare de lune down the way I like it however not yet. For anyone who just came for the song, the character Kaede is “the ultimate pianist” and plays this song for Shuichi, another character in the game (Danganronpa, specifically v3) and “the ultimate detective.” it’s her favorite I believe and because she’s the protag and it plays in sad scenes we use it to remember her after the game is done. i highly recommend this game to anyone who wants a dark and genuine game and who won’t turn away from character deaths (as about half of them die in every game). No spoilers in the comments for people just starting the game or just hearing about it.
If I want to know more, start by the first game (Danganronpa 1 trigger happy havoc) the the second (danganronpa 2 goodbye despair) THEN play the 3 (Danganronpa ultra despair girls) and t h e n watch the anime (Danganronpa 3: The end of hope's peek academy) But watcing Future Arc ep 1, Despair Arc ep 1, future Arc ep 2, Despair Arc ep2 etc. After, watch the special episode about Nagito Komeada

I have learn the first part of the complicated version but as soon as I get to the second part 2:24 it's over for me, it's so hard, I'm just not ready but thanks for this I'm going to mix the 2 parts, completed part 1 and simplified part 2 .....big thanks!!!
Keep at it. Go death slow at first. I mean like 1 note every 5 seconds or so. Use your RH to play some of those top notes of those rolling arpeggios too. I almost gave up on this piece when I first learnt it (and I'm self-taught) so I know how you feel lol. If you can read sheet music there are some really good sheet music with fingering suggestion which I strongly recommend you follow.

Just pit it on a lower speed and work your way up.... I'm a beginner I can only do one hand at a time but if you look at the keys they are the same. Just pause it at work it out man. If I can do it I'm sure you can.... haven t gotten to the lower keys yet, like the blue ones.

This is my first too. I have no piano experience and am over 50. If you stick with it and work hard, you can make this beautiful music. I'm almost at the end of the piece, and it's almost all I've been working on for five months. Totally worth it. In just a handful of months Ive been able to teach myself some of my favorite classical pieces (despite having no formal training). Basically I just wanted to say thanks for making these tutorials; it's helped make a rough year a lil more bearable.

Put the playback speed to 0.25 - 0.5 it helps a lot, and you make a lot of progress I'm already half through using this tactic, so it works.

I dont feel like learning piano really, but I want to learn this version of the piece so that one day I can play the original piece at my wedding one day. Whoever that special someone is I just want to be able to play that on that special moment.
I stopped playing piano 3 years ago and one day I came across a classical piece called passacaglia, and then I saw this, these pieces made me fall in love with piano again :)
This helps a lot to understand the piece.. The key and timing.. In order to attempt the complete version, you will need to master these first. Thanks a lot for uploading this

Not really if you cant do the complete version you should take some piano classes first because the first thing they teach you is piano letters and notes
@game changer Well to be fair the piece isn't easy. It's on par with nocturne in e major by chopin (in terms of difficulty). It is grade 8 standard (ABRSM). Even if someone does take music classes, it will take a long time to be at this stage.
Edit: After learning the nocturne I have realised that clair de lune is actually much harder
claire de lune was one of the first pieces i learnt and i have midget hands😅 kinda depends on the person i guess

Whenever 2:23 starts that's where I'm at, it's been about 2days but I've spent about 12 hrs maybe and I'm learning just fine. My mom plays the piano but she even said she doesn't know how I did it.

Set the speed at 0.5x or 0.25x and play the same part several times while waiting for the next keys to come down, while finding the best position for your hands. Then play from memory until the part you just learned. Doing like this I've made my way to around half now. I can see myself playing at slowish normal speed the full piece from memory by the end of the month.
