- We had the best time in Oregon. I’m so excited to eventually go back and explore more. Next to Hawaii, Oregon is the most beautiful state I’ve ever been to. I love how you guys so perfectly captured our Oregon coast. We call it 'the coast', cuz well, our temperatures doesn't make it a 'beach' like in LA (except August) But breathtakingly beautiful views. Pappy really was a delight too!!

That’s awesome you two drove the 101 South. When you were on a live on IG asking where you and Dean should go next... I chimed in and said come to Oregon and drive the coast line. Low and behold that is what you both did and I did not even realize it. I live an hour and a half east from Brookings. My family and I frequently go to coast. Mostly Gold Beach for the Salmon fishing, but we do a lot of camping/hiking ect. One of my Favorite, must stop spots is The Jedediah Smith River. I make sure to take a break with my kiddos every time I head on over to the Coast. If y’all did not make it to Smith River, I highly recommend it. It’s just a short drive from Brookings heading south and inland a few miles. The Redwoods and clarity of the river is absolutely breathtaking. Other places in my area that i recommend... Crater Lake, Oregon Caves, Toketee Falls, Jerry’s Jet Boat excursion on the Rogue (preferred over the Mail boats) Ashland, Jacksonville*** (Britt Festivals)
Umpqua Hot Springs, South Umpqua Falls with all the swimming holes, Rafting the Rogue (Lost Creek Lake) Applegate, the Lake and all the wineries + the Bigfoot Trap :) Diamond Lake, and Beckies Cafe (Union Creek). This is just a few of many places that won’t disappoint. Take care you two :)

Having lived in Oregon, I can tell you it's one of the most beautiful states! You will love Hawaii even more!! My family was stationed in Hawaii in the early 60's, and as a Kid it was the most magical place. I went back in 2009 with my Mother and we went to all the places we used to live and the school I went to is still there! Be sure to check out the Polynesian Cultural Center, they have the most wonderful shows. We stayed at the Manu Mele B&B in Kailua, Bonnie was a fantastic Hostess and includes a beautiful trail to the beach. Btw....I am so happy to see you HAPPY!!!

Next time you come to Oregon suggest doing some central Oregon (Bend, sisters, Smith Rock, Crater Lake) as well as some mountains and explorations in the National Forests (blue pool, ollallie lake, Mt Washington, etc)!
Also white water rafting on the deschutes out of maupin!

You should go to Washington and visit Mt. Rainier, the Olympic Peninsula, and the Walla Walla area! Washington is a gorgeous place and you won’t regret going and exploring!

Next time you guys come to Portland you have to stop by Oculus Anubis in Damascus. Also high recommend going to Bend or Sunriver in the summer time.
