Close Encounter with a Peregrine Falcon Fledgling!

This Peregrine Falcon fledgling had been hopping around and flying short distances from cliff ledge to cliff ledge, then landed close to the path where I was standing. Then it came even closer! I love the few white tufts of feathers still on its head. This fledgling has mostly transitioned into its juvenile plumage, but is still losing what’s left of its fluffy white down.
No need to worry, this fledgling was fine. Its mom was perched nearby, keeping an eye on all four fledglings while dad was out hunting.
