  • I just have a lot of feelings... For this motorcycle, for my health and friends, and for those of you who continusouly support me and stay in my corner. The world of the internet can make even the most hardened human feel insignificant sometimes. But this moto community is like nothing I could have dreamed of.

      I own a 2007 Softail Deuce, a 2014 Streetglide Special and a Ridged Rat Rod bike with a 2006 1251 cc Sportster engine.
      Every time I switch bikes it’s like a new world!
      My favorite is the Deuce because I get sooo much attention on it, they haven’t made the Deuce since 2007 and it was one of the rarer bikes Harley made back in 2007.
      But I still spend more time on the Street Glide, just because I can haul my crap with me and my Girlfriend loves it. It’s a lazy boy comfy chair with horse power.
      The Rat Rod is a beast and it is a local bike night, Rolling our to the local beach, freak people out, louder than anything that should be street legal, obnoxious trash wagon, never washed, sets the grass on fire, bike.
      It’s also a literal pain in the ass.
      It gets a lot of attention too.
      And yes I want one or two more bikes....

    being a part of this community, and what I feel like is a large portion of the motorcycle youtube community in itself, it is great to feel included and even better when you see that "content creator" (i hate term btw) grow! I don't like the term "content creator" simply because all the people I watch in the moto community are just that.... people..... you are all very genuine and true to who you are and what you do and it shows! I have had the pleasure of meeting several TH-camrs that I watched and interacted with and I have never felt like I was more welcomed by anyone in my life. I spent an entire day hanging out, riding, drinking a couple beers, and eating dinner with them, all I originally planned to do was meetup and say hi, drop off a few beers to one of them. It was great! and I love being in this community as a viewer!

      Exactly! at the beginning and the end of the day, we are riders and real people! Anyone who thinks they're going to make a channel solely to be an "iNfLuEnCeR" is going to have a hard lesson to learn haha! Being successful means being genuine and surrounding yourself with other genuine, like minded people! That's why the moto community is so strong! We're all here to have a good time!

    I love the realness of this video/your words. It really is all about the community, and I wish more people understood that. I'm a new rider myself (started in April this year) but have a long history in car communities, and out of the hundreds of people I've met through cars, there's literally only about 8 of them I call true friends and still talk to almost 10 years later. Funny how you gave the nod to Blockhead, your channel and his are actually what made me want to start riding in the first place. Hopefully one day I'll get to journey out of Texas and meet y'all. Ramble on! I'm just one unknown person that nobody listens to, but I enjoy what you post. I am itching to pack up a bag and strap it to my Super Glide and disappear for a weekend now and then. I'm between Grand Rapids and Muskegon, so I have plenty of places to explore. Since I got my bike, many people have said they want to ride with me, but I kinda think it's a bit of an automatic response. Going on a bike trip to the U.P. is definitely on my list of things to do. If you ever put together a small band of troopers to head that direction, I would be more than happy to tag along. (Preferably on a weekend, I drive truck during the week).

    Bald tires nearly KILLED ME one time. My bald back tire blew at 75 mph on a twisty section of a mountainous freeway. I had almost no control and nearly went over the guard rail with a 150 foot drop on the other side. Fortunately, I managed to stop with about five feet to spare. WHEW!! Most places in Texas if you have a credit card you can use gas stations with out the store part being open. One exception is if they are out of gas.

    • @paapali
      @paapali 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      here in Finland we have a whole bunch of gas stations that are just pumps under a roof in the middle of nowhere, and only take card payments. I never even realized that somewhere the entire thing could be closed because the store part is. Even the ones with a store part usually only take cards and are open 24/7 even with the store closing.

    Most of my riding is solo as well. I have a couple of friends who ride but we are on different schedules.
    You should check meet up or even your channel to meet people locally to ride with. As far as the negative comments, being in the public eye it’s something you will unfortunately have to deal with. Learning to not let it bother you is going to be difficult but at least the positive comments far outgun the losers. Love your channel Jess. ✌️😎✌️

    I don't know if it's the same now, but back in the day when gas pumps were very slow like that, it meant the station was at the bottom of their tank. This means the chance of getting sub-par gad is much higher. I realize that it is filtered, and such, but all the sentiment and potential gas impurities have sunk to the bottom.
    I would stop filling immediately, and move on to the next station. Hopefully there are no issues with the gas you got....and I am totally wrong on this..
    Love the channel (...and I amnsubscribed)

    Jess, One of the first things I did to improve the feeling of the hydraulic clutch on my 2019 road glide was to replace the slave cylinder with an AIM Light Force Slave Cylinder. It will provide a noticeable decrease in clutch lever pull and will also bring your clutch friction zone closer to the grip. I highly recommend this.

    • @HerTwoWheels
      @HerTwoWheels  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      When I very first test rode the 2020 RG with the hydraulic clutch, it legit bruised my hand! But since I bought a used 2018, the clutch feels very broken in and MUCH more manageable while riding! But that was one of my first thoughts! haha!

    Good video Jess. As for friends who ride, I met a bunch when I joined my local HOG Chapter and I make rides and events as I have time. I’d bet Farrow HD has a chapter that would love to have you join them as you can. I’ve made some good friends through them. Love the giggle after listening to that exhaust note…yup, I get it!

    Sorry you have to deal with all the idiots and negativity…especially within the motorcycle community. Keep doing what you’re doing and putting out quality content, the overwhelming majority of people truly appreciate what you do. I’m a sportbike guy but I subbed to your channel because I’m also in central Ohio and enjoy seeing some rides and locations that I haven’t been to yet. Stay positive and thanks for all that you do for the community.

    Just be wary, dusk and dawn are prime time for deer encounters, especially in the fall rutting season up here. I try to do my country rides from late mornings to early evening if I can. Being retired, that's easy to say I know. Ride safe.

    I hear you, Jess. Several months ago I bought a 2020 Road King. It took awhile to get the first 1,000 miles during which time my Heritage sat in the garage with her charger on waiting. I finally got the 1,000 miles and sent the King off to the shop and went riding on my old girl. It was like riding someone elses bike. Now that the King is back she's just gonna have to wait, it's her turn. Ride on and enjoy both of your bikes.

    I only ever ride with my son or alone, my wife calls me “billy no mates”! but I’m happy riding my own ride so to speak. I did once do a charity ride with around 200 other riders, really felt uncomfortable, it’s not for me. If you really do want to ride with someone occasionally I bet there are subscribers who live local that would sell their granny for the chance to join you on one of your rides. You could actually consider a local meet up and ride out.

      Nothing like riding in a pack with people you trust to ride abreast with. Fine tune your riding skills and practice holding a line from both sides of the lane while you’re riding by yourself and the experience will be so much better! I also like to ride alone sometime but IMO the more bikes the better!

    Hi Jess, I can't really tell by your video of the pavers, but he 1 or2 inch lip was there to keep water out of the garage during heavy rain. You might want to have some sandbags ready if it ever starts raining again. That being said, use some sand to lock them in place. Your husband did a very nice job putting the pavers down, it looks great.😀

    Love the videos... I like to think of myself as subscribed sTaLkEr. Keep up the good work. I know you like to ride alone, but would occasionally enjoy an awesome group ride? I've found the best way to do that is to join some local biker Facebook groups. You can post in the groups or just read the groups and you'll find a lot of rides you'd never even known about. They always enjoy meeting like minded people and post KSU, beginning and destination locations, estimated duration and stops along the way. I understand that limits your freedom to stop where you want or the speed of the ride, but you can ask questions about the ride you're interested in. :) The positives of a group ride are the memories you create with your fellow riders always seem more memorable then the solo rides.

    Hey Jess when you first took off on the Dyna and couldn't believe how different it felt after not being on it for 3 weeks ,and you used the term acclimate, i know exactly what you mean as i hadn't been on my 81 Twinstar 200 for 3 maybe 4 weeks do to waiting for a new brake cable ,so iv been riding my 05 kymco Venox 250 in that time ,and i tell ya when i took off on the Twinstar man it was so weird talk about ruff around the edges,not only that i felt like i grew got taller, as i felt like it was to small for me and iv been riding it for almost 30 years.lol it took a while of riding before my body seemed to acclimate to it again lol. OH and as always keep up the great work ,i watch every new video ..
