- In this episode I'm up at the northern end of Hervey Bay at Woodgate on a holiday with my family. It's the first day and of course my cousin and I have to start fishing and crabbing as soon as as possible as the tides and whatever else is out there waits for no man. We bait the crab pots with dead mullet with the expectation on catching a few mud crabs for a feed and head up the creek on a full moon low tide so you can guess what happens next. After a short rigging session on a sand bar we decide to throw the cast net to gather some live bait for whats to come after we set the pots. As the afternoon rolls by we catch some fish and the following day we head back out in some rather wet conditions to see how we fared on the crab front. Its times like these you're thankful to have family that understand what make us do what we do in any conditions mother nature throws at us and are right there with you.

You know he wasn’t, we got and old battler the next day with a claw missing and the lower part of his remaining claw missing that was full so it kinda made up for it. Two full soaks for two crab and we kinda gave up after that.

The mighty Burrum and it`s feeder creeks, my back yard until I moved to Maryborough over a year ago. Like anywhere, you get to know where and when to fish it and you`ll be very surprised how good it fishes. Since moving to Maryborough, I have mainly been launching around Tuan and fishing the creeks of Fraser and been smashing some huge jacks on livies. Fantastic fishery up here when everything comes together ! Love the vids mate, keep them coming. just one more question, what editing program do you use with the gopro? purchased a 7 about 8 months ago and am struggling with the editing .

But on a full moon incoming tide at anchor they would just spiral and die, nose first into the current streamlines em and they live longer.
thats the kinda shit i wanna see Fitzy,,,, i grew up live baiting, might have to wait a bit longer for a hit but produces bigger better fish mate
