Great assessment. Christian TH-cam much like many communities is a wide spectrum. I’ve been fortunate to be in a great church with a pastor that’s engaged.
In the last year We’ve made conscious effort to make “net positive” content. Avoiding dunking on celebrities or celebrity pastors.

When the focus of what Christians do is hunting out heresy we are wrong. Most of these you tubers do not focus on teaching and preaching the gospel in my experience . The danger is that many of these people do not check themselves even if our motives are right we can still be very wrong. I have watched people who are very popular and have a large following like Voddie Bochum John McArthur if you question their doctrine people come after you it’s the same with the prosperity preachers. The majority of us who follow these people don’t seem able to rightly divide the word of truth, one of the things I have issue with is when Christians constantly are calling each other out. What is our Christian witness, we forget the unsaved see us. I watched a channel that said “like and subscribe so we can have more followers than Kenneth Copeland”.

    • @Jquarles1973
      @Jquarles1973 3 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

Yes! Paul called out names but it was written to the individuals he was writing too. Not the church as a whole. In this case it was Timothy.
In acts 20 Paul mentions wolves that would not spare the flock but he called for the elders. Not the whole church.
If we take our time when we study verses where someone was being rebuked or names were being called, we will see leaders holding other leaders accountable that they were in covenant with (right hand of fellowship).
What social media has created is some unruliness that’s out of order and possibly even going as far as plucking up the good pastors with the bad ones.
Even when Paul called out Peter it was to his face in front of the whole church right after they were given the right hand of fellowship.
But again, it was a leader (apostle) to another leader (apostle) and it was within the church. Not a public square.
We use Ephesians 5 as an expose scripture as well. But again we’re talking local autonomy.
When Pricilla and Aquila addressed Apollos. They did NOT rebuke him publicly although he spoke publicly.
The scripture says they pulled him to the side. Why? Because they did not know him.
Marking those who cause division is not necessarily calling someone out publicly. But more on the lines of taking note and heed to someone and saying to others “lookout for him/her” and name doesn’t always have to be called unless they persist in causing the division.
This is what happened when Paul finally addresses Peter. But notice he did not rebuke him initially in Jerusalem but rather Antioch where issue began.
Another good example is Paul writing to the Church of Rome (16:17) as well as warning Timothy about Alexander and the harm he had caused. He’s warning to Timothy take note of Alexander in a letter not a public display.
“Pastors who sin rebuke before all so the rest may fear” was an instruction to a leader.
Timothy being delegated apostolic authority as a leader was given the charge to rebuke not everyone else.
A good example is Paul to Peter’s face within the fellowship of Antioch. It was in house not out house
“Open rebuke is better than secret love” is more in reference of making an issue known to that person. Not a public expedition.
What the internet has created is a lack of discretion that many of us have been guilty of partaking in.
So I understand where you’re coming from. Being a former follower of Ex-ministries I’ve studied these passages thoroughly and came to the conclusion that “Houston we have a problem.”
On top of that, I’ve been working in management for 23 years now and know first how this thing works. And I didn’t even mention jurisdiction. But anyway, I hope this helps. Blessings..

I think one of the biggest issues with what you mentioned in terms of people not attending church physically, is that a lot of people lately turn to Christ alone in their home without a local community and in their zeal, start a TH-cam or TikTok or someone thing that does end up blowing up and they aren’t as foundational as someone who does have community and accountability. It’s that lack of preparation that creates the compromise to remain or grow in popularity

I have recently been put on the Christian TH-cam channels - I've become a member on Ruslan's Patreon - I watch Nick Jones and also Truth IS and you guys here at Trackstarz and I attend church regularly - hoping to find a good time to be incorporated into a small group with the church I've been going to. If there is one key thing I've learned through watching the podcasts or the videos - it is that, there is so much going on in this world that is happening that has pulled me away from my relationship with God. There is so much work on the enemy's end and divisiveness and messaging and symbolism out there that I am only learning now how someone who wants to do right and be hot for God can also be swayed. The videos have helped me be more aware of the content I consume - especially the secular content - the messages the lyrics the movie plots -- the shows -- ALL OF IT. If anything, the videos have helped me pursue God more and want to be set apart from the things of this world. I always enjoy listening to your podcast - your takes and POVS - the insight is enriching!

Scripture instructs us to identify and mark false teachers with the motivation to warn those who are vulnerable and might become victims as Jude does and instruct them to test the spirit as the Apostle John does and to remain aware of them as the Apostle Paul does. When the motivation is care for the well-being of God's people, more importantly according to the will of God, which is made known by the Spirit of God and the Word of God. This goes to your point that all of us need to be connected to a local church and as I always say, "Everybody needs a pastor, one who is a disciple of the Son of God, filled with the Spirit of God, and steeped in the Word of God."

The problem with Christian TH-cam is its thinly veiled preoccupation with worldliness and finding a middle ground between the church and the world, when the way calls us to be seperate and holy. With all the Christian's in the TH-cam space, the world doesn't seem any safer, and even worse, it doesn't seem any more informed on how to live a life pleasing to God. It seems more confused, with many forever learning but never coming to the knowledge of the truth.

@@trackstarz I believe it's time for God's people to be God's people and his alone; he's a jealous God. The fact that there are "Christian influencers" means that there are people who were called out of the world that still choose to model their lives and platforms after it. We're supposed to be in the world to plant and water for the harvest, but not of it, lest we defile ourselves with the pleasures thereof. Yet, these influencers spend much of their time discussing the same topics that pop culture channels talk about. Covering those topics from a "Christian perspective" is just another way of entertaining godlessness, witchcraft, debauchery and mammon. Why is it that our people (Christians) want to engage so much with the culture of this world instead of rejecting it completely? That's what holiness is, being separate unto God, and his standard is holiness. There's no middle ground. Many of these influencers have led God's people astray by shepherding them into the world and calling it middle ground. The way to the kingdom is a narrow one, and the road traveled by the so-called influencer is broad. It's sad. Thanks for responding.

Ruslan built his channel off of calling out Steven Furtick. And Furtick wasn't even doing anything wrong, he just had thousands of haters. I can build a channel right now off of Mike Todd hate, and Chad Veech hate, etc. That is an easy way to get views, and hook people in. I think there is a place for shining a light on error, or trying to instruct the body of Christ in what is right. But it has to come from a pure place, with love! Also it needs to come with accountability. Some people just want to get rich, and some people are Pharisees with a bunch of issues, and wounds they haven't dealt with.

It isn't a problem at all. Are we called to run at them with pointing fingers, screaming, and yelling that they are damned? No, not in the least. Are we to expose their destructive teachings to those that would hear with proof in the word that opposes what they claim? Yes.
We are not to participate in their desteuctive teachings but absolutely we are to call them out when seen.
But it should never be our mission or joy to do so.
When we come across those that teach wrongly, we reprove with kindness and openness, using the word and not opinion.
Ephesians 5:11-13 as just one example.
And do not participate in the unfruitful works of darkness, but rsther even expose them, for the things being done in secret is shameful even to speak of, but all things becoming exposed by theblight become visible.
And how many times did paul in his letters call out false teaching of those who missed the mark or had twisted scripture?
Did he not sleak to an entire church and tell them he was surprised how quickly they turned away from the true gospel?
Do not pay heed to those like these people who only seek to argue in endless controversy on teachings they are unaware of.

John’s Baptism for Remission of Sins
John’s baptism symbolized a call to repentance for Israel, restoring fellowship with God (Mark 1:4, Luke 3:3). It did not provide eternal salvation but was a public act of repentance, preparing the people for the Messiah’s coming (Luke 1:16-17). In this context, “remission of sins” referred to restoring Israel’s covenant relationship with God.
Jesus’ Blood for Remission of Sins
Jesus’ statement about His blood (Matthew 26:28) refers to the complete, eternal remission of sins through His sacrifice. His death on the cross paid the penalty for sin and provided eternal salvation for all who believe (Hebrews 9:22). Jesus’ blood brought full forgiveness, restoring a believer’s eternal relationship with God.
    Key Differences
    * John’s Baptism: Focused on Israel’s repentance and fellowship restoration, preparing for the kingdom.
    * Jesus’ Blood: Provided eternal forgiveness, offering salvation through His sacrificial death.
    Conclusion
John’s baptism restored Israel’s fellowship with God, preparing them for the kingdom. Jesus’ blood provided the permanent solution for sin, offering eternal forgiveness and life. Eternal life is received by faith.

The Pharisees like you said their intent was wrong but they were scoffers and another thing about them they was legalistic but they weren't following the laws that they was leaning on other people so they weren't living it 💞🔥💞 like that girl just said the Pharisees was not living nothing they was talking about they knew all 613 laws in and out but they were not living it they were walking around like monitoring spirits seeing who they couldn't point out so that they can prove that they knew the letter of the law 💞🔥💞

I think you all have misunderstood the pharisees. Based on scripture they taught man-made rules and regulations. They also sat by while God's temple became a marketplace. They were upset that Jesus helped people understood the Father's true intentions, including being a Father to Gentiles.
I believe the "YT" issue from Christians is more complex. Some call out pastors without understanding their general teachings, picking out one issue and labeling false callings. Some are much too soft. Jesus said what needed to be said. He apologized to no one for their feelings in regards to truth. Some just seem to be to committed to the world. They half call out, half protect erroneously quoting a "don't judge" rhetoric. Etc. Etc.

I think it is bad for the community. Videos about whether Taylor Swift looks demonic or does Ice Spice look demonic praying. All that stuff is a distraction and adds no value. The more we reduce Christian content to this level that's what people are going to crave. You give children a taste of what you want them to value. And if we keep giving Christians this taste. They won't listen to sermons or read their Bibles they will crave a Clip of Taylor swift manifesting at a concert. It's quite absurd honestly.

why Are Christian TH-camrs monetizing they’re videos, are you in it for the money or furthering the gospel? Shai Linne said it best using Jesus as a lottery ticket.

    • @JaiClaire880
      @JaiClaire880 ปีที่แล้ว +6

I think the answer is practical. It cost money to run a channel and since they are not supported by a local church and are putting hours into developing these videos, you need to make money to continue to support what you do. And to address Shai Linne, I love his music, he has a patreon so I believe he was talking about the prosperity gospel and people using ministry as a retirement fund.

A big part might be because they need that content so they can sacrifice some values in exchange for better engagement.

It isn't a problem at all. Are we called to run at them with pointing fingers, screaming, and yelling that they are damned? No, not in the least. Are we to expose their desteuctive teachings to those that would hear with proof in the word that opposes what they claim? Yes.
We are not to participate in their destructive teachings, but absolutely we are to call them out when seen.
But it should never be our mission or joy to do so.
When we come across those that teach wrongly, we reprove with kindness and openness, using the word and not opinion.
Ephesians 5:11-13 as just one example.
And do not participate in the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even expose them, for the things being done in secret is shameful even to speak of, but all things becoming exposed by the light become visible.
Resd the word in full and dont follow the allures of mans interpretation of the word. It interprets itself.
Are we not called to warn a divisive person once then a 2nd time then if they continue to have nothing more to do with them?
How then in the same way, is trying to shine light on false teaching any different? We are not to seek or persue argument but showing that what some say to go starkly against the word is not that
    Grace be with you all.

The Pharisees needed to look at themselves about helping others they were calling out some of the right stuff but they the part where there were lacking they weren't helping the world either they wasn't doing nothing directly wrong but there was people in need and did they help them they was calling out sinners well centers are sinners sinners do with sinners do Christians supposed to do with Christians do live holy Christian and call out the centers to repent but we have so called Christian centers who need to repent call it out but if you're one of those the Bible tells you take the log out of your own eye before you try to take the spec out of the other that's where the Pharisees was wrong like y'all said they didn't fix what was wrong with them and get right with God in their area because their situation they look as big as those out there to them they may not have been committing adultery but they probably wouldn't pay any ties or maybe how they act and interacted with the public they walk by people in need like a lot of us Christians do today I run into quite a few of them they say that Christians they they never try to witness to nobody or lead anybody to the Lord they also don't feed the homeless individuals not just as a whole we need to have that attitude they don't pray with anybody on the street that's in trouble none of that many Christians in Jesus said in some or some of you so where we need to repent even if we ain't got it together then we go out and do the work of the Lord do the work of an evangelist the Bible says and those scribes and Pharisees and the Old testament are in the New testament they weren't doing that because Jesus was coming to straighten that out he wasn't there he was the example and they never seen one like this before so he was really coming to correct a lot of the scribes of the Pharisees the religious like the Bible says having a form of God in this but denying the power thereof it's a lot of that going on in the church on both ends holier than thou ones and just straight out rebellion in their sin in the world
