    I love these deep dives into the native bitwig devices.

    Oh these are pretty cool. straight forward stuff like this tends to be underrated

      Yeah, but the simplicity makes them a lot of fun

      @@AlexReidStudios yeah for sure. its the same sorta thing why people buy hardware with a lot of limitations. simple, and effective and the constraints help with focusing your creative process.

    I actually use them a lot. It's basically my go to if I just need a "X" drum sound. For kicks I tend to use kick 2 but polarity made a kick 2 copy in the grid which i have been meaning to try.

      The grid is great for making drums :)

    I have been trialling BitWig a couple of times and I have to say - as I expected by its looks, I already grasped the basics, because it is quite 'well' thought! Nice video, will try this as soon as I can. Interesting. BitWig really is a Music Machine, not just a DAW! ... well I come from 7 months using Cakewalk by Bandlab ... 👀

      Cakewalk is more "traditional" but it has a special place in my heart, it has a lot of nice features. Still BW is the best for me

    Still waiting for a video showing that these devices can make actual usable sounds, sorry for being negative, really I am xD This is like Kong for Reason, I just can't make anything good with the synthesis part and haven't heard anyone else pull it off either. But hihats, sure, those I can use from here :)

    • @AlexReidStudios

      Yeah the hihats are the most interesting ones really. to make better use of these you would need to layer apply effects and modulators, witch would be the same to make a drum from scratch using another synth lol

    I'm confused...are we slapping or smashing. Are we allowed to do both with drums? I want to make sure I am following the lingo trends and then tell my friends that my drums can do that.

    • @AlexReidStudios
      @AlexReidStudios  ปีที่แล้ว

      yeah we can do both imo. Slap is make them hit harder and smash is adding more body, I think

      @@pnutbuttajellee1394 haha not your fault, I've had comments like this but without the sarcasm
