Randy - OMG!!! This is without compare the absolutely very best DPT episode I've ever seen and I can't emphasize enough how you must enter this for the TH-cam Emmy's if there is such a thing. I'm not kidding in the least! Without a doubt the entire DPT team was obviously firing on all their cylinders in a way I've never seen before. Kudos to everyone who had even the slightest input to this outstanding product!!! ❤🎉

Happy Belated Birthday. 60 is a piece of cake and you have a great 10 years ahead of you. Now, 70 ... It's all hit-and-miss. Just saying. It can be tough. I love tea and one certainly garners an appreciation for it if one actually has visited or has lived in shitty environments that prize it. Glad to see you know PG Tips. Love it. I now "mix" my teas which is fun. I use one tea bag of PG and one tea bag of Twinings Earl Grey. Best of both worlds. Toast from real bread with real butter ... marmalade ... and that's breakfast! I also love Yorkshire Gold. Amazing. I worry about all my tele-friends who live in NY. Keep safe. Keep sane. Keep happy. Keep cooking.

What a lovely episode, Randy! You have me all excited about having another tea party! It has been 5 or 6 years since the last one I had. I, of course, made it too complicated, so I will tone it down this time. Thanks for the great ideas!

Another great episode! Bakewell tart is my favorite dessert, although I make mine with cherry jam. Reminds me of the store-bought ones my grandmother always had for us with a cuppa after our Sunday roast :)

A tip for making scones that I got 45 years ago from a farmer’s wife is firstly if you got sour milk and or cream that’s going to turn the better the scones will be, secondly make a well to put your wet ingredients to dry ingredients and thirdly bring all together and cut the scones the less you handle the better the scone during the cooking time of 10-12 minutes you should have the kitchen cleaned up and the table set.
No sugar was ever added as that way you could have them as savoury as well.
Once cooled store in freezer, zap in microwave when required and they are as good if not better than the day they were baked 🎉

Talk about entertainment that feeds the soul and the tummy if you make these delicious treats and sandwiches. And the tea, oh.. tea is the best, Taylor's Afternoon Darjeeling is my current favorite but there's also an organic brand in Portland, Oregon called Smith Tea, their Portland Breakfast is really delicious, and available online. FreshD also delvers it.

Hi Randy, I wish I was there to try all of that....looks soooooo delicious.....
Btw amchoor is a typical Indian spice, it is basically sun dried raw mango powder.
    Goes into most curry dishes.
I felt like grabbing that chicken sandwich right out of my phone screen and taking a bite out of it...🤤🤤🤤

Randy - every time you make a batch of scone dough you’ll use a different amount of liquid. Because the humidity in the room & the humidity in the flour varies.

This episode made me immediately remember of one of the episodes of the Brit show "Two Fat Ladies" from back on the late nineties: S2E4 - Afttenoon tea. If you haven´t seen this show you are missing out! Presented by Jennifer Patterson and Clarissa Dickson Wright (the ladies from the title), they would travel accross the UK on a motorbike cooking delicious dishes and being delightful.

'Drives me crazy when people say high tea and mean cream/afternoon tea. I guess i have to get over it. Love this video, though I prefer a barely touched, very wet, scones recipe. 'Produces a tender result.

Thank you for piercing the toast. The birdcage is my favorite movie. Not even kidding.

If you are going to offer Tea to a dog then you will find a weak English breakfast tea or Assam with plenty of milk goes down a treat with dog's, and don't set it down until its cooled down enough to drink.

Ooh! The English ladies will be shuddering at the thick slices of cucumber! They have to be sliced very thinly and usually in rounds. Your coronation chicken looks better than the stuff I have tasted.

I found this fairly aggravating to watch and then came “thermomix” so, a crappy 1 hr infomercial for a crappy product - guised as a lighthearted English tea sandwich upload.
Incidentally, your scones- I’ve seen more appealing things on a butchers block!
I wonder if there’s a link for the product in the description🤔🤔🤔
