From a landscape panorama, this has to be up there with the best. Loved the jungle affect of Blouberg and that view from vultures lookout across the vast escarpment of glorious Africa, simply heartbeatingly awesome.
South African, I absolutely love this adventure you share with everyone. 🌍 In Africa, my favourite part is the bush night sounds of night life, & watching you make those Chicken Burgers after 16:00 minutes, mouth watering 🤤😋 I'd love to try that recipe one day🙋♂️
Gidday Edward maate! What a marvelous video! I looked....and looked again, and 27 minutes had just flown by. That's the sign of a captivating video. The colours, the contrasts, the setting - just beautiful. You've made my day, or should I say my night, here in NZ, mate. Thanks again, God bless, Dave
Absoloooootly great video Ed! Wonderful footage from Blouberg. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the trip. You'll be completely unwinded by the time you get home. Keep up the good work.
@@EdwardBath you are most welcome, if you only knew how much pleasure they give me. It's like reliving the wonderful 4 years I had living, working and traveling through southern Africa. Again, many thanks.
Very well done Edward, you are producing such high quality content mate! we are really loving the camp set ups, you fellas have awesome rigs/campers. Thanks heaps for sharing
Wow! Absolutely fantastic man. And your editing is up there with the very best. Glad the "We are on our way to Botswana" intro is out, made me emotional..
Jeez you guys carry a lot of stuff! Was with my daughters in Blouberg in December and stayed in the same campsite but only had a Jimny and Defender so lots more space. Had my solar panels in the road between the campsite and toilets :). Found it on google when we couldn’t get through Beitbridge. Really enjoyed it. Some great tracks on the other side of the mountain also. Lots of mud which was fun. Have a safe trip!
Haha we certainly do Bruce 😂 28 days on the road is a long time on the road especially when the cars are full of camera gear 😂 the trailers offer great storage as well as a great base camp for our 4 night stays. Unfortunately our cables wouldn’t reach the sun spots but Blouberg is an absolute gem hey? Thank you for watching and supporting the channel! I really appreciate it!
@@EdwardBath trailers are awesome. Been through them all from off road caravan to trailers. Keeping it simple now. Have a great trip. We will keep the economy going while you guys have fun 😂😂
Edward, I am thrilled to see this new series. I am 65-year-old grandmother, but I might as well be a 25-year-old Jock. I so enjoy your photography and very clever editing. The narration is also informative and interesting. I am really looking forward to Mapungubwe. It is one of my favorite places. I am sure that you are going to do it justice.
Awesome episode bud, on point and very cinematic. Can’t wait for the next one. Great to travel with you legends and looking forward to the next Overlanding Escape🤙
Thank you so much Stephen! Sorry mate I don’t know what happened but TH-cam must have deleted your comment about the intro on the last video because I couldn’t find it and reply, thanks for letting me know about it and glad you enjoyed the new one 🙏🙏
Beautiful experience as always! I love your community gathering and the balance between adventure and slow living! Also, please release an e-book cookbook! 🌍 💙
Many thanks for this video ! The Land is so amazing ! I love This country ! I hope that the covid stop for comming with m'y land cruiser 100 with metalian trailers ! I live in Switzerland !
Enjoy watching your videos and it makes me laugh - people say that the Australian bush is dangerous but at least our animals don't want to eat us - kill us yes, but not eat us :-). It is also funny how our bush in Western Australia and your bush is very similar.
Have you thought of a wind power generator, popular on yachts and very light and portable. In a storm there is wind, and at night a windmill can charge batteries when solar can't.
Hi Edward. Love your approach and videos. The detail is excellent as well. I own a 2 x 4 SUV and would like to go on expeditions but also realize the limitations to my set up. Could you also indicate if the specific road/track that you are discussing is accessible for 2 x 4's if possible as you go along. Could you also perhaps do separate videos for 2 x 4's in order for us of which I'm sure there are many, to also enjoy our set ups to the fullest taking our limitations into account.
Hi Louis! Thanks for the awesome comment! I will certainly do that in the future, the 2x4s are very capable the only issues you will face is if the track becomes slippery due to rain and if there are large washouts. Thanks for the idea and I will certainly chat about it in the future!
Thank you so much mate! The standard tank is 135L and I normally carry 80L extra on the roof rack and 40L in the trailer for the long remote trips but on this trip the distances between fuel stops were short so I didn’t carry any extra fuel🙌
Hi Alan, I took a year off to go on these trips at my own cost. We are trying to make this work and turn this into a full time job but at the moment we don’t even earn enough from TH-cam in 12 months to service our Cameras to keep them in working order. This is not a complaint at all because we are all very grateful but I have no trips planned for this year as I’m back on the graft full time.
@@EdwardBath Hi Ed ! I’m just envious being stuck in Cayman and not able to get to SA to take my new truck out. I applaud the dedication - taking a year off is brave and I wish you, Chris and Ryan all the best with the venture. U guys have a great rapport and chemistry. Keep up the good work and keep me and us all envious 👍👍😀 I will be signing up via patreon 👍
Alan when you eventually get here to SA we need to make a plan to meet up around a campfire then! What truck have you got? Would be lekker to catchup, I’m starting Patreon soon and your support will go a long way in helping us get out there as often as we can 🙏 cheers mate
